Pyongyang, May 8 (KCNA) -- South Korea's largest opposition party "Liberal Korea Party" is behaving unseemly when all the Koreans in the north, the south and abroad and the whole world including hostile countries are warmly supporting the historic inter-Korean summit meeting.
The ultra-right conservatives including Hong Jun Phyo are talking such nonsense every day as "the rarest camouflaged peace show" and "oral feast" so as to run down the Panmunjom summit and April 27 declaration and play down their meaning and success.
They are also viciously opposing Chongwadae's putting forward of the Panmunjom declaration to the "National Assembly" to be ratified by it, terming it "reversed thing" and "an unpardonable thing".
It clearly shows the true colors of the extremely vicious anti-national and anti-reunification group that exists only through the confrontation with the fellow countrymen in the north and war, indifferent to the desire and requirement of the nation as it is hysterics of the group of traitors to the nation keen on the division and confrontation.
Because of the crimes of the conservative regime which ended the June 15 era of reunification, talking about "the lost decade", the "Liberal Korea Party" has nothing to say of the present dramatic turning point.
It is running amuck going against the hard-won trend of improving the inter-Korean ties, far from apologizing to the nation for the monstrous crimes. It is surprising all.
No faction can ever stand above the nation, and the nation and partisan interests and policy are inseparable.
If one is a politician, one should be faithful to the historic great cause of the reconciliation and unity of the nation and peace and prosperity rather than say this or that over conservatism and progress.
The "Liberal Korea Party" has been engrossed in factional strife such as elections to the local self-governing bodies and containing of the ruling forces by the trite coloring campaign without idea and political tactics and is going the lengths of going against the public sentiment and betraying the nation.
Now the south Korean ultra-right conservative media and forces that have long supported conservatives are opposing the reckless act of the party beyond the common sense.
The candidates from the party are openly criticizing Hong Jun Phyo, representative of the party, with the elections just ahead and keep away from him, which is something unprecedented.
The herd of traitors to the nation is doomed to be isolated and rejected as it is using the fate of the nation and even the future for partisan strife with the outdated cold war mode of thinking.
It should be well aware that it will be sunk by the waves of the angry public like the "Park Geun Hye ship in distress" if it swims against the national trend of peace and reunification, failing to face up to the situation. -0-

Japan Had Better Mind Its Own Plight: KCNA Commentary
Pyongyang, May 7 (KCNA) -- Over the 3rd inter-Korean summit, Japanese Prime Minister Abe recently talked rubbish that Japan would never be excluded from the process of denuclearization of the Korean peninsula and he expects detailed actions for the denuclearization.
His inferiors, conservative media and experts echoed his rubbish, playing down the significance of the north-south summit meeting and talks at Panmunjom and calling for constant pressure on the DPRK.
Now the whole world is viewing the Panmunjom summit as a great event that made a fresh breakthrough for peace and security not only in the Korean peninsula but also in Northeast Asia and other parts of the world and had great impact on the world political trend.
But only Japan is spouting a load of rubbish, being displeased with it. Its ill-behavior, at a time when the atmosphere of reconciliation and peace is being created thanks to the proactive step and sincere efforts of the DPRK, clearly shows the real intention of the political dwarfs seized with anachronistic way of thinking.
Japan should ponder over its behavior and feel ashamed of itself under the present developing situation where a dramatic turn is being made.
Its awful behavior, prompted by its wild ambition for checking the trend of dialogue and peace, only provokes a side-splitting laughter of the world public.
It seems as if Japan tries to show a "hard-line" attitude toward the DPRK. However, this is no more than a stupid last-ditch effort to give a face-lift to its lost image after being excluded from the settlement of the issue of the Korean peninsula.
Actually, "passing Japan" has become a hot topic of the public across the world.
Experts and analysts are commenting that Japan's loud voice reflects its complicated thought of being marginalized in the settlement of the dialogue-centered issue of the Korean peninsula, adding that Japan told others not to believe north Korea but it could not stem the trend.
Such opinion that it is very pitiful to see Japan left alone despite the rapidly changing situation in Northeast Asia is prevailing in Japan.
"Passing Japan" was caused by Japan itself. The authorities of Japan, who dislike being behind others in the calculation of interests, had better face up to the present situation, though belatedly.
They are resorting to sleight of hand and flattering to get an opportunity for setting their feet on the land of Pyongyang. They should bear in mind that they can never do so if they persist in ill-minded behavior.
It seems that what is urgent for Abe is to allay his concern about his political destiny at stake.
The rate of supporting the Abe Cabinet dropped into 26.7 percent for being involved in high-profile graft revealed one after another but the number of those saying no to it is increasing. Many Japanese are taking to street in protest against Abe who was branded as "mastermind of scandals" and "liar."

The Association for the Study of Songun Politics UK(ASSPUK), the Juche Idea Study Group of England (JISGE) ,the UK Korean Friendship Association(UK KFA) and the British Solidarity Committee for the Peace and Reunification in the Korean Peninsula(BSCPRKP) issued a joint statement condemning the US for spreading misleading and false information about the DPRK peace-loving policy ;
Recently , the inter-Korean summit , the 3rd of its kind , was held at Panmunjom and a joint statement adopted which provided for the eventual denuclearisation of the Korean peninsula . However the US imperialists have spread misleading and malicious rumours that the denuclearisation that was agreed at Panmunjom was simply because of so-called sanctions and pressure. The inter-Korean summit was held because of the peace -loving efforts of the DPRK which is committed to the independent reunification of the Korean peninsula . It is a well known fact that the DPRK is self-reliant and not affected by the sanctions of the US imperialists.
As a spokesman of the DPRK Foreign Ministry said "The U.S. is deliberately provoking the DPRK at the time when the situation on the Korean peninsula is moving toward peace and reconciliation thanks to the historic north-south summit and the Panmunjom Declaration. This act cannot be construed otherwise than a dangerous attempt to ruin the hardly-won atmosphere of dialogue and bring the situation back to square one."
At the same time the US is slandering the DPRK over human rights and preparing to deploy strategic assets in the Korean peninsula .
Basically the US is undermining the mood of peace on the Korean peninsula . We denounce the US for spreading misinformation !

DPRK FM Spokesman Flays U.S. Increased Pressure against DPRK
Pyongyang, May 6 (KCNA) -- A spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea gave the following answer to a question put by KCNA on Sunday as regards the U.S. increased pressure against the DPRK:
Recently, the U.S. is misleading the public opinion, arguing as if the DPRK's clarification of its intention for denuclearization of the Korean peninsula made through the Panmunjom Declaration adopted at the historic north-south summit is the result of so-called sanctions and pressure.
At the same time, it is making open remarks that it would not ease the sanctions and pressure until the DPRK gives up its nuclear weapons completely and also moving to aggravate the situation on the Korean peninsula by deploying strategic assets on the peninsula and increasing its attempt of taking up "human rights" issue against the DPRK.
The U.S. is deliberately provoking the DPRK at the time when the situation on the Korean peninsula is moving toward peace and reconciliation thanks to the historic north-south summit and the Panmunjom Declaration. This act cannot be construed otherwise than a dangerous attempt to ruin the hardly-won atmosphere of dialogue and bring the situation back to square one.
It would not be conducive to addressing the issue if the U.S. miscalculates the peace-loving intention of the DPRK as a sign of "weakness" and continues to pursue its pressure and military threats against the latter.

Press Statement of Permanent Mission of DPRK to UN Hits out at U.S. for Linking DPRK with Hacking Case
Pyongyang, May 3 (KCNA) -- The Permanent Mission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) to the United Nations issued a press statement on Wednesday with regard to the indecent statement the United States made relating the recent incident of hacking the database of Security Council 1718 Sanctions Committee of the United Nations to the DPRK as follows:
The US again took issue with the DPRK during discussion on the recent incident of hacking database of 1718 Sanctions Committee at the Committee's closed meeting on 30 April, 2018.
Saying "it is north Korea that has the biggest concern in the work of 1718 Sanctions Committee and owns the hacking capacity", the US and hostile forces forcibly related the DPRK to the incident, while urging upon the Committee to thoroughly probe the true state and take steps.
It is the stereotyped trick to keep up the atmosphere of sanctions and pressure against the DPRK at all costs by instigating the Security Council 1718 Sanctions Committee and it is not worthy for consideration.
The DPRK has never recognized the illegal and unlawful Security Council's "sanctions resolutions" and 1718 Sanctions Committee and is not interested in what the Sanctions Committee does.
The US and hostile forces should squarely recognize the trend of the times and make efforts to do the work helpful to detente and peace process on the Korean peninsula rather than manipulating plots with that hacking incident. -0-
