The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK (ASSPUK)and the Juche Idea Study Group of  England (JISGE) issued a joint statement today to mark the 75th anniversary of the birth of the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il;
  In two weeks time it will be the 75th anniversary of the birth of the great leader comrade Kim  Jong Il, eternal general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, Generalissimo of the Korean People's Army  and ever-shining Sun of Songun . This occasion is named by the Korean people and progressive people of the world as the Day of the Shining Star .The Korean people will mark this occasion with joyous celebrations . Also the world revolutionary people including anti-imperialist fighters and Juche Idea  and Songun Idea followers will significantly commemorate this event.
  We Juche Idea and Songun Idea followers of the UK organised in the ASSPUK and JISGE uphold the birth anniversary of the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il because he was the great successor to the great revolutionary leader and founder of Juche Korea  President Kim Jong Il who ensured the continuity of the Juche revolutionary cause and the Songun revolutionary cause
      The great leader comrade Kim Jong Il was born the son of guerrillas on snow-swept Mt Paektu during the anti-Japanese war . As a young boy he witnessed the the barbarous action of the US imperialists during the Fatherland Liberation War of the early 1950s. The great leader comrade Kim Jong Il resolved to fight imperialism to the very end as well as to treasure even a single blade of grass in the country and to make Korea mighty and prosperous. Comrade Kim Jong Il became a great anti-imperialist who wrote such excellent works as  " We Must Not Forget the Bloody Lessons of Sinchon"  and "The Characteristics of Modern imperialism and Its Aggressive Nature."
    The great leader   Comrade Kim Jong Il began his Songun revolutionary leadership in August 1960 with his visit to the the Seoul Ryu Kyong Su no 105 tank division of the Korean People's Army and began guiding the work of the Workers' Party of Korea in 1964 when he began his work at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea. The great leader comrade Kim Jong Il ensured that the road of Juche was firmly adhered. He smashed the attempts of the opportunists,counter-revolutionary anti-party  factionalists and revisionists to derail the unity of the party making it ever more steel like and monolithic. He wrote many works exposing and criticising modern revisionism.
   The great leader comrade Kim Jong Il put forward the programme for modelling the whole society on Kimilsungism , a most militant and dynamic programme to revolutionise the whole of society and step up the building of socialism.
    Comrade Kim Jong Il worked hard to develop and enhance the Juche idea . He ensured its purity and comprehensively systematised the Juche Idea in his famous work "ON THE JUCHE IDEA ".  This is a work of supreme brilliance that raised Juche-orientated social science to new heights , towering above all other theories and ideologies.ON THE JUCHE IDEA powerfully inspired the world's people in their struggle for independence and liberation.
    The great leader comrade Kim Jong Il smashed the anti-socialist offensive of the imperialists, modern revisionists and renegades of socialism in the early 1990s. He militantly declared "Socialism Is a Science " and "expect no change from me". He wrote a number of powerful works which such as "Abuses of Socialism Are Intolerable"," Socialism Is A Science" and " On Giving Priority to Ideological Work Is Essential for Accomplishing Socialism ". Under the leadership of the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il the DPRK held high the red banner of socialism defying all challenges from the imperialists and renegades of socialism.
   At a time when the imperialists and globalisers were running wild to promote globalisation and the "Coca Colaisation " or  the Americanisation of the world the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il blasted these delusions away in his work "On Preserving the Juche Character and National Character of the Revolution and Construction ", a timely and powerful manifesto against the nonsense of globalisation !
     Comrade Kim Jong Il developed the Songun Idea, an embodiment of the Juche Idea  initiated by the great leader comrade Kim Il Sung. When the US imperialists and world imperialist forces conspired to crush Korean-style socialism when the DPRK faced difficulties owing to the frustration of socialism in some countries and consecutive natural disasters  the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il brilliantly administered Songun politics thus winning the war without gunshots against the US imperialists. He built the DPRK into a socialist military power of Juche with its own nuclear deterrent and a satellite launching nation.
   The great leader comrade Kim Jong Il not only held high the red flag of socialism showing determined resilience  whilst defending the DPRK's sovereignty by the dint of Songun politics but he also led the people in the struggle to build a thriving socialist country and a people's paradise. He was always on the road of on-the spot guidance  mixing with the people.
  The great exploits of the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il are not dimmed by the passing of years but shine ever more brightly and will contine to shine.
    Today the Korean people under the guidance of the dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un hold the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il in high esteem as they complete the Juche revolutionary cause. Under Marshal Kim Jong Un the Korean people will advance along the road of independence, Songun and socialism charted by the great leaders comrades Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il , bravely defying the US imperialists wicked sanctions  . The Korean are upholding the spirit of self-development and self-reliance true to the teachings of respected Marshak Kim Jong Un.The Korean people under the banner of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism will be ever victorious , true to the teachings of the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il  the shining star of the Juche era !

 The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK(ASSPUK),the Juche Idea Study Group of England(JISGE),the UK Korean Friendship Association(UK KFA) and the UK Preparatory Committee For the 2017 Gathering to Praise the Great Persons Born of Mt Paektu issued the following joint statement in support of the statement of Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Country (CPRC) of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea ;
   The DPRK which is very concerned about Korean reunification, peace and the improvement of inter-Korean relations made a wide range of significant proposals for the reduction of tensions, the improvement of inter-Korean relations and Korean reunification. In particular the DPRK Supreme leader respected Marshal KIM JONG UN made a number of proposals in his NewYear Address. Not only have the south Korean puppets not responded,basically pouring cold water over the enthusiatic atmosphere for reunification but they ramped up tensions by crying out for establishing "a perfect alert posture" and taking "effective counteraction," vociferating about "north's threat" and "unpredictable provocation" every day, and busy making war drumbeats for invading the DPRK all the time.
  Worse still the new US  'defence ' secretary who is nicknamed "Mad Dog " by some , has gone to south Korea to discuss war moves against the DPRK with the south Korean pupepts.
   Instead of depending on outside forces such as the US imperialists and big powers the south Korean authorities should take an independent attitude  and should accept the DPRK's offer of reconciliation before it is too late.
 If they persist in their present course of action it will only bring disaster to them and the Korean peninsula. We strongly urge that the south Korean authorities make amends by accepting the reunification proposals of the DPRK.

S. Korean Authorities Should Ponder over DPRK's Patriotic Appeal: CPRC Spokesman

  Pyongyang, February 2 (KCNA) -- All Koreans in the north and the south and abroad ardently wish to see the inter-Korean relations improve and peace and stability settle on the Korean peninsula in response to the DPRK's new year's appeal for paving a broad avenue to independent reunification by polling their intention and efforts, said a spokesman for the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Country (CPRC) of the DPRK in a statement issued on February 1.
    The statement went on:
    The south Korean puppet regime is, however, blowing the stereo-typed confrontation trumpet from the outset of the new year, bringing "north's denuclearization" and "its human rights issue" to the fore. It is crying out for establishing "a perfect alert posture" and taking "effective counteraction," vociferating about "north's threat" and "unpredictable provocation" every day, and busy making war drumbeats for invading the north everywhere.
    We are well aware that "security crisis" much touted by the south Korean puppet regime, hyping " the north's threat and provocation", is aimed at saving Park Geun Hye from the crisis of impeachment though she is hit hard from all sides.
    If the south Korean authorities opt for reckless confrontation and provocation in a bid to put the alarming internal situation under control, this may spill over into an unimaginable conflict and war and eventually lead to their shameful destruction.
    They will only suffer bitterer disgrace and humiliation if they blindly toe the U.S. line, failing to properly judge the rapidly changing situation in the neighboring countries and being unable to discern who is real principal enemy of the nation, accustomed to clinging to coattails of big powers.
    They should come to their senses and opt for carving out the independent destiny of the nation in response to the DPRK's offer of reconciliation before it is too late. This is the demand of all Koreans and the last advice of history.
    If the south Korean authorities take the road of reckless confrontation and war in pursuance of the U.S. policy, defying the DPRK's sincere goodwill and appeal, the DPRK's tolerance and patience will go beyond their limit and in that case they will be held wholly accountable for the ensuing disastrous consequences. -0

KCNA Commentary on S. Korean Conservatives' Racket for "Declaration of Martial Law

 Pyongyang, February 2 (KCNA) -- The south Korean ultra-right conservative forces are getting all the more reckless in their wild act against the public mindset.
    Shortly ago, a group of conservative gangsters held a rally against the impeachment of Park Geun Hye where they called for "declaration of Martial Law" and swayed spears and helmets reminiscent of the "crusade".
    They shouted "All Reds have to be removed", "Insurgents holding candlelight have to be killed under Martial Law" and "Only Martial Law will work. Army, rise up".
    This rowdyism, reminding one of the bloody fascist violence in the days of the May 18 Kwangju resistance, touches off the surging wrath of all the fellow countrymen and the international community as it was pursuant to the puppet conservative forces' organized and planned plot to open a way-out of the on-going situation calling for the impeachment of Park.
    The group of conservatives is making desperate efforts to prop up the declining conservative regime while defending the traitorous policy of Park, root cause of all disaster.
    From the outset of the year, traitor Park instigated the conservative media to totally deny her crimes. And she, openly inciting military coup, let the puppet military gangsters float the story of "insecurity" and "threat from the north" in a bid to create the feelings of crisis in society on purpose.
    She let the die-hard conservatives, who insulted the bereaved families of Sewol disaster as "corpse vendors" and branded progressive labor organizations as "forces following the north", trumpet about "nullification of impeachment" and "elimination of leftist forces" and vociferate about the "attempt of north-defending group to seize 'power'", threatening and blackmailing the people.
    The move of the ultra-right conservative group to drench the whole south Korean land with blood in order to prolong the dirty remaining days of the "yusin" witch is a dangerous act that can be done only by the descendents of the military fascist dictators who mangled the April 19 popular uprising and the May 18 Kwangju resistance with bayonet.
    The racket for "declaration of Martial Law" kicked up by the conservative group, repeating the great tragedy of history which turned south Korea into a theatre of fascism and wasteland of human rights and democracy, is a fin de siecle act of those without future.
    The group of traitors can never check the dynamic advance of the people desirous of new politics and new society and can not evade the miserable fate of perishing in the sea of candlelight. -0-

Kim Ryon Hui still being held illegally in south Korea against her will

                                                         

Kim Ryon Hui a DPRK citizen has been held in south Korea since June 2011. She was tricked into going there by a dishonest money lender in China . She has family in the DPRK and wants to return to them. Ms Kim has asked many times to be returned to the socialist Juche homeland of the DPRK but the south Korean authorities have refused . Apparently it is forbidden to "re-defect " to the DPRK in south Korea . So anyone who defected to south Korea but then changed their mind is not allowed to go back to the DPRK. In the case of Ms Kim she had no intention at all of permanently settling in south Korea and had been mislead into going there . There are sure to other such cases. It is also worth mentioning the 12 DPRK waitresses adbucted in April 2016 by agents of the south Korean National Intelligence Service and have not been seen publically in south Korea since been taken there.

Japan's Crimes during "Resident-General's Rule" over Korea Disclosed

 Pyongyang, February 1 (KCNA) -- Newspapers Wednesday carry articles contributed by researchers at the Institute for Japan Studies to disclose the crimes committed by the Japanese imperialists, on the lapse of 111 years since their establishment of the "residency-general", an organ for their colonial rule over Korea.
    Ra Myong Song, a researcher of the institute, in an article carried by Rodong Sinmun says:
    The Japanese imperialists fabricated the "Ulsa (1905) Five-point Treaty" through threats, blackmail, pressure and fraud under the spurious signboard of "protection." Pursuant to it, they formally established the "residency-general in Korea" in Seoul on February 1, 1906, enforcing the "resident-general's rule."
    The establishment of the "residency-general" and its rule were, in essence, aimed to wantonly violate the sovereignty and dignity of Korea and pursue a colonial rule over it.
    The "resident-general" was the supreme ruler who deprived Korea of all rights such as legislation, jurisdiction, administration and military command.
    The Japanese imperialists set up a "mechanism for controlling the residency-general and governor's office," empowering the "resident-general" to exercise the same rights as the governor general's. The "resident-general" belonged directly to the Japanese king and he was authorized to suspend the enforcement of laws and treaties related to diplomatic issues in Korea and rescind them on behalf of the Japanese government. He was mandated to promulgate "ordinances of the residency-general" to detain Koreans and issue an order to use force of arms, etc.
    The supreme ruler of Korea was not the emperor of the Korean feudal government but the "resident-general" of Japan and the ruling organ was not the Korean feudal government but the "residency-general" of Japan.
    Kim Hong Hwi, a researcher of the same institute, in an article contributed to Minju Joson, discloses that the Japanese imperialists enforced "the resident-general's rule," keeping Korea under their military occupation with huge aggressor forces present and establishing a brutal gendarme and police system to mercilessly crack down even the slightest anti-Japanese elements. -0
