Time Will Prove DPRK's Option Is Right: KCNA Commentary

 Pyongyang, December 24 (KCNA) -- World public is increasingly admiring the DPRK's push for building a socialist power.
    On December 17, the U.S. online Fox News in an Associated Press article dealing with change in the DPRK over the past five years said the DPRK's political base has been further consolidated under the guidance of supreme leader Kim Jong Un and great progress was made in the economy, national defence and cultural life.
    North Korea became a nuclear weapons state thanks to its line of simultaneously pushing forward economic construction and the building of nuclear force, the article noted, adding over the past five years north Korea's nuclear capacity was bolstered up and this period witnessed three of five nuclear tests conducted by it so far including the most powerful nuclear test and H-bomb test.
    The DPRK has now access to nuclear weapons capable of striking the U.S. forces in south Korea and Japan and on Guam and even the U.S. mainland, and has invigorated its domestic economy and made drastic achievements in cultural field, the article pointed out, adding: Now it is trying to conquer the moon within ten years.
    Media of Spain and Kuwait also gave wide publicity to the eye-opening successes registered by the DPRK during the past five years.
    This can not but be clear understanding and appreciation by the world society of the great successes made by the DPRK in building a socialist power under the wise guidance of Marshal Kim Jong Un and validity of the DPRK's cause advancing toward the final victory.
    Over the past five years the U.S. has enforced hostile policy toward the DPRK to bring it down, after setting it as the first target of attack for realizing the U.S. strategy for aggression and domination over Asia-Pacific.
    It has cooked up gangster-like "sanctions resolutions" one after another while persistently clinging to its "strategic patience" aimed at bringing down the DPRK's social system.
    It has run amuck to start a nuclear war while conducting war exercises under various codenames every year after shipping huge nuclear strategic assets into the Korean Peninsula and its surrounding areas.
    In those days nobody checked the U.S. nuclear threat and arbitrary practices against the DPRK and no one kept it from encroaching upon the latter's sovereignty, vital right and right to development.
    The DPRK turned out in all-out confrontation with the U.S. imperialists while simultaneously pushing forward economic construction and the building of nuclear force by dint of self-reliance and self-development in the face of the latter's daily-increased moves for a nuclear war and nuclear threat and blackmail.
    In this period it had access to H-bomb and passed through the final gate for rounding off its national nuclear force by conducting a nuclear warhead explosion test.
    Today the Korean people are continuously making world-startling miracles in building a socialist power with full confidence in victory being backed by the powerful war deterrence.
    The reality clearly proves the validity of the DPRK's idea and cause that the powerful nuclear force guarantees peace and prosperity and dignity of the nation.

Press Report of WPK Central Committee on Conclusion of 200-day Campaign

Pyongyang, December 19 (KCNA) -- The Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) made public a press report Sunday on the victorious conclusion of the 200-day campaign on Dec. 15 after it was started on June 1.
    The 200-day campaign was an all-people drive for successive attack and a breakthrough for defending the spirit of the 7th Congress of the WPK and glorifying 2016 as the greatest heyday of the revolution by expanding and developing the victory won in the 70-day campaign, and a great battle for creation of the self-development-first spirit and the great battle for creation of speed of Mallima, the press report said.
    It went on:
    The single-minded unity of the party and the revolutionary ranks, mainstay of the Juche revolution, has been consolidated as firm as a rock. This is the biggest victory won in the 200-day campaign.
    The heroic officers and men of the People's Army set an excellent example of devotedly carrying forward the instructions of the leaders on the foremost fronts and kindled the flame of implementing the party's idea and defending party's lines all over the country by holding fast to the treasured sword of defending the revolution and the people, and thus fulfilled their duty as the army of the revolutionary party in consolidating the great army-people unity.
    The young Kimilsungist-Kimjongilist vanguard displayed resourcefulness and bravery of heroic youths in all difficult and toilsome worksites.
    The heroic Kimilsungist-Kimjongilist working class, agricultural workers, intellectuals and women displayed the spiritual and moral traits of helping and leading each other forward with kindred feelings while upholding the party and the leader with white gem-like loyalty and increased production.
    A miraculous victory of converting misfortune into favorable conditions was won on the front of recovering from the damage in the northern parts of North Hamgyong Province.
    The revolutionary armed forces intensified training the way anti-Japanese guerrillas did in Mt. Paektu, getting themselves fully ready for combat for blowing up the bases of aggression and provocation in all operational theatres and defending the security of the country and the happiness of the people.
    The people in the defence industry achieved successive victories in nuclear warhead explosion test and development of Korean-style ultra-modern strategic weapons.
    In the industrial field the goal of total output value of the 200-day campaign was over-fulfilled at 119 percent and thousands of industrial establishments over-fulfilled their yearly plan for national economy ahead of schedule.
    In the field of science and technology 250KW wind power generator was developed for the first time in the country and the technology for the production of electrode for UHP electric arc furnace was completed and many other scientific and technological problems were settled and preparations were pushed forward for building ultra-modern technical industry.
    Production of electricity and coal was put on a high normal footing, more achievements were registered in metal industry and railway transport and basic industrial fields including machine, chemistry and building materials industries brought about a surge in production.
    Unusual success was registered in the crop production in the fields of agriculture, fruit farming and fishery and great harvest of fruits and spectacular scenery of a good catch of fish were presented.
    A number of indigenous raw and other materials and equipment were developed and produced and Korean-style modernization was powerfully pushed forward and light industrial goods with Korean trademark were churned out.
    Socialist fairy streets and villages mushroomed in the northern tip of the country along the River Tuman and the first-phase construction of Honggon Islet tideland, the first-phase construction of waterway in South Hwanghae Province, Ryugyong General Ophthalmic Hospital, Medical Oxygen Factory and other monumental edifices of Mallima era were completed and the construction of Ryomyong Street was pushed forward at a great speed.
    A lot of factories and enterprises witnessed the production of a great number of those who fulfilled plans for two years and three years and pacesetters of Mallima spirit and also the practice of heroic deeds.

  In the work which takes the form of a letter to  the participants of the 8th Congress of the Union of Agricultural Working People of Korea. What the work shows is the high importance that dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN  and the  Workers' Party of Korea pay to agriculture and agricultural working people.
   Respected Marshal KIM JONG UN gives an important definition of the UAWK ,its and missions
" The UAWK is a mass-based political organization of our socialist agricultural workers which was founded and has developed under the wise guidance of the great leaders, and a reliable transmission belt and peripheral organization of the Party."
 Basically the UAWK is firstly a mass organisation, secondly an organisation of socialist agricultural workers , thirdly it has developed under the guidance of the great leaders President KIM IL SUNG and Chairman KIM JONG IL, and fourthly  it is the transmission belt of the WPK. It is important that respected Marshal KIM JONG UN has defined the working farmers of Korea as 'socialist agricultural working people' as distinct from peasants. Moreover liberalistic tendencies of separating mass organisation from party leadership are decisively rejected.
   The traditions of the  UAWK go back to the days of the anti-Japanese armed struggle when the great leader President KIM IL SUNG founded  a revolutionary and patriotic and Juche-orienatated peasants organisation.
   Respected Marshal KIM JONG UN recalled the great exploits of the great leaders comrade KIM IL SUNG and comrade KIM JONG IL in building the UAWK  right from the days of the Agarian Reform right through to the days of building a thriving socialist country.
    In the work respected Marshal KIM JONG UN puts forward the central and programmatic tasks of the union
 " Today the UAWK and agricultural workers are faced with the heavy and yet honourable task for making a contribution to hastening the final victory of the Juche-oriented socialist cause by carrying out the socialist rural theses true to the programme of modelling the whole society on Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism advanced at the Seventh Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea"
  The "Theses on the Socialist Rural Question " is the great strategic programme for building
Juche-based  socialist agriculture. That was laid down by President KIM IL SUNG  , it is most significant that respected Marshal KIM JONG UN is not stepping back from implementing the
Socialist Rural Theses but energising  the UAWK to carry it out . With a clear vision respected
Marshal KIM JONG UN says that the the UAWK must carry out the three revolutions , that is the ideological revolution, cultural and technical revolution.Very correctly the primacy of the ideological revolution is stressed by the Marshal. He urges that members of the UAWK equip themselves with the spirit of self-reliance and self-development and the revolutionary soldier spirit . This is like a tonic to stop the inroads of imperialism into the DPRK's socialist agriculture. Vigilance against
ideological and cultural infiltration is urged "They should steadily intensify ideological education and struggle among the agricultural workers to thwart the imperialists' moves for ideological and cultural infiltration so as to allow no room for the capitalist ideology and culture and alien lifestyle to infiltrate and to ensure that various kinds of outdated ideological remnants and non-socialist practices are not revealed among them"
   Dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN also recognises the crucial need to increase agricultural
production ,linking it with the defence of socialism saying that "The agricultural front is an outpost in the battle for defending socialism. We must farm well and thus solve the problem of food for the people; only then can we defend our style of socialism and build a powerful socialist country successfully."
   Once the lines and policies of dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN  outlined in the letter are
fully carried then the DPRK will decisively smash the lies and slanders about Juche-based socialist agriculture and crown the struggle to build a thriving socialist country with victory and glory.

Report of ASSPUK and JISGE Meeting to mark the 5th Anniversary of the passing away of the great leader comrade KIM JONG Il

                                           

The ASSPUK, JISGE and UK KFA held a meeting on the 10th of December  to commemorate the 5th anniversary of the passing away of the great leader comrade KIM JONG IL . The meeting was attended by members of the ASSPUK, JISGE and UK KFA as well as the New Communist Party of Britain headed by its National Chairman Alexander Kempshall. It was also attended by diplomatic representatives of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in London.
    Chairman Dr Dermot Hudson opened the meeting saying that " December 17th is recalled by the Korean people as a day of great national loss , and it is recalled by the world people , particularly friends of People's Korea , as a day of sadness . It was on this day some fives years ago that the great leader comrade KIM JONG IL, chairman of the National Defence Commission of the Democratic People's Republic and general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea , passed away whilst on a train giving on the spot-guidance . He had been working hard to develop the national economy of the DPRK and improve living standards of the people." Chairman Dr Hudson also read out a message from David Munoz UK KFA Organisation Secretary which said "Comrade Kim Jong Il was undoubtedly the great communist of the late nineteenth and early twentieth century, when comrade Kim Jong Il after the demise of President Kim Il Sung in 1994 and the colapse of the socialist camp said, "Do not expect changes of me´´ Despite the isolation of a criminal blockade, sanctioned, unsupported and during the hard years of the Arduous March, the Korean people instead of letting themselves be carried away with the defeatism and revisionism towards the capitalist course as other countries, The DPRK worked harder thanks to their great ideological awareness to defend and develop their socialism, the envy of the world today
    Dr Hudson also referred to the 25th anniversary of the election of the great leader comrade KIM JONG IL as supreme commander of the Korean People's Army saying " The great Leader comrade Kim Jong Il administered Songun politics fully by building up the KPA as the core force of the Korean revolution. He ensured that the KPA was not only strong in arms but strong in ideology and politics. . Supreme Commander KIM JONG IL fully promoted the revolutionary soldier spirit, the epitome of the militant Songun ideology, which pulsated throughout society leading to world-startling feats like the construction of the Anbyon power station. Thus the 25 years of leader's Kim Jong Il's command of the Korean People's Army were years of great achievements in which the KPA has been strengthened greatly
 Shaun Pickford secretary general of the Juche Idea Study Group of England and chairman of Staffordshire KFA addressed the meeting and said in part ". KIM JONG IL correctly understood the pivotal role of philosophy in the development of society, that in other words, the revolution and socialist construction can only be successful with an ideology reflecting the independent aspirations of the popular masses. To continue with the proceeding working class ideology was not enough to keep up with the demands of the 21st century. KIM JONG IL greatest contribution to the evolution of philosophy, was to systematized the Juche Idea of KIM IL SUNG into to a comprehensive structure. "On The Juche Idea", published in March, 1982 by KIM JONG IL can be regarded as a manifesto of the Juche ideology. Since the early 1960s, KIM JONG IL published many hundreds of works on the Juche Idea and on the originality of the Juche philosophy. Such works as "Let Us Advance Under The Banner Of Marxism-Leninism And The Juche Idea", "On Problems Of Education In The Juche Idea", "Abuses Of Socialism Are Intolerable" and "Socialism Is A Science", have made an immense advancement to the growth of revolutionary ideology. KIM JONG UN formulated Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism as a single ideological system and consolidated the philosophy of the President and the General." 
Comrade Kim Song Gi Minister Counsellor of the DPRK Embassy said that the great leader comrade KIM JONG IL embodied the most noble patriotism. Comrade KIM JONG IL taught people to value even a blade of grass and everything in the country. Now the Korean people are winning victory after victory by applying KIM JONG IL's lofty patriotism. Even though the imperialists are stepping up sanctions the Korean people will win by applying the patriotism of KIM JONG IL
  Alexander Kempshall National Chairman of the New Communist Party delivered a message of greetings from the New Communist Party Alexander Meads spoke about the 99th anniversary of the birth of Madame KIM JONG SUK saying that "Comrade KIM JONG SUK an indomitable communist revolutionary fighter blazed a trail for the women's emancipation movement in Asia and the world . She serves as a role model for anti-imperialist women revolutionaries throughout the world, her teachings show the correct way forward for the women's movement even in the imperialist countries. Today in the DPRK women are playing an increasing role in society thanks to the leadership of the dear respected Marshal KIM JONG  UN who is helping to make sure that the ideas of Madame KIM JONG SUK on women's emancipation are carried forward."
 Dr  Dermot Hudson said that the DPRK is the true model of women's liberation and is carrying forward the ideas of Madame KIM JONG SUK. Dr Hudson spoke about the 5th anniversary of the appointment of dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN as supreme commander of the Korean People's Army pointing out that " As a result of the assumption of the position of Supreme commander of the Korean People's Army by the dear respected leader Marshal KIM JONG UN the continuity of the Songun revolutionary leadership has been maintained. The KPA has been built up as an even more powerful revolutionary armed force. Dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN is following in the footsteps of the great generalissimo’s of Mt Paektu KIM IL SUNG and KIM JONG IL"
  Dr Hudson speaking about the south Korean situation warned that although Park Geun Hye is impeached it is no use to replace one puppet with another , a change of system is needed. Henrik Nydquist gave a report on the Pyongyang International Film Festival and Wonsan Air Festival. Q and A was held. There was a discussion on what Trump's election means and also about expanding and consolidating the activities and base of the ASSPUK, JISGE and UK KFA. Messages to the dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN were adopted. Literature from the DPRK including the works of the great leader President KIM IL SUNG , Chairman KIM JONG IL and Marshal KIM JONG UN as well publications of the JISGE and UK KFA was displayed.      In a few weeks from now on the 27th of December  the DPRK will mark the 44th anniversary of the Socialist Constitution. The DPRK Socialist Constitution provides genuine human rights for the people not paper ones or tickbox exercises.
  The Socialist Constitution of the DPRK is a unique Juche-orientated constitution unknown in the world as not only defines the character of the state and rights and duties of citizens but is also programme for building socialism and consolidating the rights of the Korean people. It provides  a solid legal framework for the building of socialism in the DPRK . It was authored and drafted by the great leader President Kim Il Sung and adopted by the Supreme People's Assembly of  the DPRK on the 27th of December 1972. Its  promulgation  legally clarified the nature of the advanced socialist system centred on the people  of the DPRK.
   Under the Socialist Constitution the people of the DPRK are guaranteed independence and creativity. They have legal rights unknown in capitalist countries,the right to work Article 70 ,right to relaxation article 71 right to free medical care article 72,right to education article 73.  At present in the capitalist countries there are many unemployed and also people starving. Under the provisions of the DPRK Socialist Constitution(Article 25) taxation has been abolished and the material wealth used for improving the living standards of the people.
   The DPRK Socialist Constitution expressly prohibits child labour in Article 31. Women are guaranteed equal rights with men in Article 77.Citzens are guaranteed the inviolablity of the person in Article 79.
  Moreover unlike bourgeois states deputies to the Supreme Peoples  Assembly(the highest law-making body) are accountable to the people and can be recalled if they lose the trust of the people Article 7. This is a contrast to the capitalist countries where elected representatives are out of touch with the people and just rake in huge salaries(£74,000 per year in the UK which is more
than 11 times the amount of what is paid to old age pensioners) and expenses for doing nothing at all. In the DPRK there is real people's democracy , socialist democracy not the fake democracy of capitalist states where people just vote for the lesser of the two evils  every 5th or so year.
   The Socialist Constitution of the DPRK is a most superior constitution that gives people rights that are unheard of capitalist countries . The  Socialist Constitution is the bedrock of human rights in the DPRK. It shows that the allegations about human rights in the DPRK are false and that real human rights are guaranteed by law.
  Today under the Songun revolutionary leadership of dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un the Korean people are achieving further success in the implementation of the provisions of the Socialist Constitution. The people of the DPRK are forging ahead in the struggle to build a thriving socialist nation.
