Pyongyang, October 1 (KCNA) -- Supreme leader Kim Jong Un was presented with "THE STAR OF SOEKARNO" by the Soekarno Foundation for Education of Indonesia.
There took place a ceremony of conveying its diploma and medal in Jakarta on September 27.
The diploma and medal were conveyed to an official of the DPRK embassy in Jakarta.
Rachmawati Soekarnoputri, chairwoman of the Founding Committee of the foundation for education, said at a press conference that Kim Jong Un has successfully carried forward the intentions of the preceding leaders, making great contributions to the struggle for prosperity and happiness of the Korean people and peace on the Korean Peninsula and its reunification.
Thanks to his energetic guidance a lot of successes have been achieved recently in the DPRK and peace on the Korean Peninsula is firmly guaranteed, she said.
She added that the Soekarno Foundation for Education had the honor to award "THE STAR OF SOEKARNO" to Kim Jong Un. -0

KCNA Commentary Accuses S. Korean Regime of Encouraging Leaflet-Scattering Operation against DPRK
Pyongyang, October 1 (KCNA) -- The south Korean regime persistently
encourages the leaflet-scattering operation against the DPRK.
It let betes noires of the "Alliance for the Movement of Free North," an organization of "defectors from the north", scatter 200 000 leaflets slandering the DPRK from Phaju, Kyonggi Province on Sept. 20. Two days later, it let a similar organization scatter 900 000 leaflets over areas of the DPRK.
This is no more than the last-ditch efforts of the betes noires to chill the atmosphere of improving the north-south relations created with much effort through the north-south high-level urgent contact in August last.
What matters is the fact that the reckless leaflet-scattering operation was a deliberate and premeditated provocation perpetrated by the betes noires in violation of the spirit of the north-south agreement at the tacit connivance of the south Korean regime.
If the south Korean regime has a sincere will to promote the north-south relations, it should not only stop "the psychological broadcasting against the north" but also refrain from such acts as slandering the dialogue partner as called for by the north-south agreement.
However, such human scum are still free to conduct anti-DPRK leaflets-scattering operations in south Korea. The present regime of south Korea has shielded and patronized them, claiming "it cannot ban the operation without any legal ground as the operation is freedom of expression."
This makes the DPRK question the regime whether it has an intention and will to mend the north-south relations and implement all the provisions specified in the agreement made at the north-south high-level urgent contact.
Leaflet-scattering is an unpardonable treacherous act, which was prompted by the south Korean regime's design to escalate confrontation with the DPRK. It is also a mockery and insult to all Koreans and world peace-loving people calling for detente on the Korean Peninsula and improvement of the north-south relations.
Leaflets scattered by the betes noires contain anti-DPRK invectives often talked by the present south Korean authorities.
They are crying out for ideologically and morally disarming the people of the DPRK and undermining its single-minded unity in a bid to achieve with ease "unification under liberal democracy."
All facts go to clearly prove once again that the present ruling forces of south Korea have no political will to create an atmosphere of peace and stability, reconciliation and cooperation on the Korean Peninsula.
Unless they drop their sinister design against the DPRK, the north-south ties will be plunged into endless political and military confrontation.
The DPRK has already clarified more than once that leaflet-scattering amounts to a declaration of war against it.
In case the leaflet-scattering operation is continuously allowed and connived at by the south Korean regime, the north-south relations will be again thrown into an uncontrollable catastrophe. This is as plain as a pikestaff.
The south Korean regime should stop encouraging it at once, well aware of the cherished desire of all Koreans. -0

Yet another shadowy anti-DPRK outfit
Another shadowy anti-DPRK body that looks like it is probably a front for the CIA , MI6 and the south Korean National Intelligence Service is the "European Alliance For Human Rights in North Korea ". About half the leadership team have south Korean links and have lived there. Other team members have worked for lobbying companies. "EARHRNK" are apparently located in Southern House Croydon . Other occupants of the building include major government departments such as the HMRC . The rent for this building is £188.37 - £209.90 m2 so even a small office of 20 sq metres would be £3000 to £5000 a year to rent plus business rates , so who is paying for this . Answers on a postcard please !
No to US and UK sanctions on the DPRK
So the US have slapped sanctions on 2 more DPRK firms and apparently the UK government has imposed sanctions including an asset freeze on 36 DPRK companies and 33 individuals. All the companies sanctioned are legitimate civilian trading companies ! What a disgrace . UK KFA denounces this reactionary hostile act by the US and UK governments against the DPRK . However the imperialists should know that the DPRK will smash these sanctions by means of the Juche-based independent national economy!

No “North Korean Human Rights Act”
Recently the conservatives, the ins and the
outs of south Korean “National
Assembly” are scheming to enact “North Korean Human Rights Act”.
They have already agreed on main articles
of it.
The conservatives including the Saenuri
Party are chattering that the act shelved for over 10 years would be passed
through the "National Assembly". Noting the “human rights common to the humankind” and “safeguarding and promoting human rights of north
Korean”, the opposition parties are making lame
excuse for the mean collusion.
Now the entire Korean people at home and
abroad unanimously desire the inter-Korean ties heading for dialog, cooperation
and peace on the basis of the agreement concluded in the high-level urgent
contacts which was held at the initiative of the DPRK.
After working contacts of red cross between
the north and south of Korea,
the reunion of separated families are being prepared and the inter-Korean
authorities conference is expected.
In this situation, the south Korean “National Assembly” is scheming to enact “North Korean Human Rights Act”. It is an unpardonable provocation aiming to
deteriorate the inter-Korean relations by denying the dignity and system of the
DPRK and escalating inter-Korean confrontation.
In the DPRK where everything serves the
people, the demand and interests of the people are regarded as supreme and
absolute and in which the people’s
beautiful dreams and ideals come true, the “human rights issue” is out of the question.
On the contrary, south Korea is the worst barren
land of human rights in the world.
The legitimate political parties and press
of south Korea were forcibly
dismantled or closed by the "National Security Law", as they had
asserted reunification, peace and stability on the Korean Peninsula.
The actions of various sections demanding the elementary rights to survive are
branded as illegal.
The desperate scheming of the conservatives
to enact the “North Korean Human Rights Act” reveals their real intention to conceal
their anti-popular policy and miserable human rights. By doing it, they also
try to oppress the struggle of popular masses demanding the justice, democracy
and rights to survive.
Being aware of catastrophe by the
enactment, the ruling and opposition parties and authorities of south Korea
should give up at once the fabrication of the “North Korean Human Rights Act”, the heinous political provocation and open
confrontation of systems.

inter-Korean ties that made a steady progress with the adoption of the
June 15 Joint Declaration made a U-turn thanks to the publication of the
October 4 Declaration.
The
historic inter-Korean summit meeting and the publication of the October
4 Declaration excited the Korean Peninsula and south Korea was swept by
the hot wind of Kim Jong Il.
The
south Korean mass media made special mention of the historic event in
October by desrbing “the publication of the October 4 Declaration with
reunification view if the Korean nation itself ,” “Manifestation of
reunification will of the nation” and “presentation of rosy future of
the Korean nation.”
The south Koreans people of every degree spoke highly of Chairman Kim Jong Il as a supreme patriot, a paramount nationalist, a powerful state leader, a leader of firm decision and an eminent general.
The birth of the October 4 Declaration was a brilliant victory of idea of national independence and line of Kim Jong Il and precious fruition of his leading authority, political acumen and noble virtue
