The ASSPUK, Juche Idea Study Group of England and UK KFA issued the following joint statement in support of the excellent statement by the Foreign Ministry of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea on Saturday 4th of October ;
Our organisations , the ASSPUK, JISGE and UK KFA support the statement of the DPRK Foreign Ministry and fully concur with the sentiments expressed in the statement .
The US imperialists under the two-faced Obama regime has persistently waged a frantic anti DPRK campaign both openly and covertly . The US has continuously slandered the DPRK's independent Juche-based nuclear deterrent and have also waged a framed up "human rights " campaign against the DPRK . Basically the strategy of the US imperialists is a two pronged one , if the pressure over the nuclear issue fails then the "human rights " campaign will be brought into play.
We support the revolutionary anti-imperialist stance of the DPRK that the nuclear deterrent can never be given up and bartered for anything unless the U.S. hostile policy and nuclear threat are fundamentally terminated. It is the decades long US nuclear threat against the DPRK that compelled the DPRK to have access to nuclear weapons. The DPRK 's line of simultaneously pushing forward economic construction and the building of nuclear force is the absolutely correct one that reflects the vital interests of People's Korea and the Korean revolution. The sinister scheme of the US imperialists is to force one-sided unilateral disarmament on the DPRK . Along with the " human rights" campaign this represents a concerted effort to undermine and destabilise the DPRK in order to bring down its people-centred socialist system.
The US imperialists need to be aware that the DPRK will not be deflected from its path of independence , Songun and socialism . Rather the frantic anti DPRK campaign that they are waging will merely serve to harden the resolve of the DPRK to follow its chosen path and defy US imperialism to the end

Don't believe false rumours
Normally
we would not bother to comment on the stories being circulated in the
Western media including the UK media such as the Daily Telegraph, Daily
Mail and Daily Express about a so-called "coup " in the DPRK with
"Pyongyang in lockdown " however we have had some questions from
friends so we are putting out this short statement.; there is absolutely
no truth whatsoever in these stories which incidentally
do not come from anyone instead the DPRK or in Pyongyang but a website
run by a so-called "defector " who has not lived in the DPRK for many
years . In actual fact the situation in Pyongyang is perfectly normal
with international trains and planes running normal . A KFA trip
delegation including its president Alejandro Cao De Benos is in the DPRK
now. Preparation for the the celebrations of the 69th anniversary of
the foundation of the WPK are ongoing. It is totally inconceivable that a
high level delegation of the DPRK including secretaries of the WPK and
the director of the General Political Bureau of the KPA would go to
south Korea for high level talks if a coup was taking place.
Significantly none of the Western embassies in Pyongyang have made any statement about anything happening. The stories are basically cheap low grade rumours and falsifications.
The DPRK is based totally on the single hearted unity of the masses around the leader and the Party .he DPRK is one of the most stable countries on earth, in fact probably the most stable country in the world . Young people there do not riot but instead act as the shock brigade in socialist construction and take part with vigour in the defence of the country. The DPRK is based on the socialist ownership of the means of production so there is no social inequality . There can be no such thing as a "coup attempt" or "unrest " in the DPRK.
The source for the stories being recycled by far right wing newspapers in the UK as well and other sections of the international capitalist media is a website run by a traitor to the DPRK whom the wikipedia freely admits used to be employed by a "research institute " under the so-called "National Intelligence Service " and set up with the website with his redundancy pay .
It is probable that the rumours are being spread by US imperialist interests keen to not only portray the DPRK as unstable etc but also to ruin the atmosphere for dialogue and reconcillation on the Korean peninsula by repeating un founded rumours started by some elements in south Korea. Whoever is really behind the rumours will pay a high price. Based on single hearted unity and led by dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN , People's Korea will defeat its enemies .

Rodong Sinmun Calls for Building Independent Economy
Pyongyang, October 4 (KCNA) -- In order to maintain an independent
stand, every country should build self-supporting economy, says Rodong
Sinmun Saturday in an article.
No country can expect any independence without increasing the independence of national economy, the article notes, and goes on:
It is nothing but a daydream for a country to develop economy without making it self-supporting, no matter how ardently it aspires after independence and pursues justice and truth,
If a country runs national economy with capital and efforts of others, it will be bound to depend on foreign forces for its economic development and loose its say and, in the long run, it will allow itself to fall in a moment.
As the imperialists are resorting to frantic moves to slap sanctions against other countries aspiring after independence, the issue of increasing the independence of national economy presents itself as a more urgent matter.
One of the important issues of achieving economic self-support is to train native cadres and scientific and technological talents and develop one's own science and technology.
Self-reliance is the basic principle which should be maintained to dynamically push ahead with the building of self-supporting national economy and lay the material and technological foundation of a country by believing in the strength of the people and relying on its locally available resources.
It is an essential requirement for ensuring economic self-support to boost economic and technological cooperation and South-South cooperation among developing countries.

Spokesman for DPRK FM Slams U.S. Frantic Anti-DPRK Campaign
Pyongyang, October 4 (KCNA) -- The spokesman for the Foreign Ministry of the DPRK released the following statement Saturday:
The U.S. is becoming all the more pronounced in its hostile moves against the DPRK.
After ceaselessly staging war maneuvers against the DPRK from the outset of the year with huge armed forces and destructive weapons involved, the U.S. is intensifying its anti-DPRK operations, while totally denying its line, policies and social system.
This is clearly evidenced by the fact that the U.S. is running the whole gamut of invectives against the DPRK over its nuclear issue and "human rights" issue and all other matters.
On Sept. 23 U.S. Secretary of State Kerry held a "high-level meeting" with those toeing the U.S. line to pull up the DPRK over its "human rights" issue at which he malignantly slandered its social system. The U.S. assistant secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights and Labor disclosed the U.S. intention to continue encouraging human scum to take the lead in the human rights racket against the DPRK.
The U.S. special representative for north Korea policy and the U.S. assistant secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs, in their official appearances slandered the DPRK's line of simultaneously pushing forward economic construction and the building of nuclear force and blustered that only when north Korea dismantles its nuclear weapons, can it achieve security and prosperity, while talking about its nuclear issue and "violation of international law."
Explicitly speaking once again, the DPRK was compelled to make a bold decision to have access to nuclear weapons due to the U.S. hostile policy toward the DPRK, nuclear threat and strategy for stifling it for more than half a century.
The DPRK's nuclear force serves a powerful treasured sword to protect the sovereignty of the country and the dignity of the nation under the prevailing situation and provides a sure guarantee for focusing efforts on preserving peace and security, building economy and improving the standard of the people's living.
The DPRK's line of simultaneously developing the two fronts serves as a banner for bolstering nuclear deterrence for self-defence to cope with the reckless nuclear threat and aggression by the U.S. and its followers and, on its basis, winning a decisive victory in building a thriving nation.
The nuclear deterrence of Songun Korea can never be given up and bartered for anything unless the U.S. hostile policy and nuclear threat are fundamentally terminated. The UK Korean Friendship Association (UK KFA) issued the following statement on the occasion of the 69th anniversary of the foundation of the Workers' Party of Korea(WPK)
The WPK was founded on 10th October 1945 by the great leader comrade Kim Il Sung. Its foundation was the culmination of years of hard struggle by the Korean revolutionaries led by general Kim Il Sung. With the foundation of the WPK the Korean people came to have a guide and organiser .
The WPK , under the guidance of the great leader comrade Kim Il Sung, led many decades of socialist construction .Under the guidance of the WPK, a people's government was successfully established in the DPRK with the aim to provide the people with an independent and creative life. After the liberation of Korea in August 1945, major democratic reforms including agrarian reform and nationalization of major industries were carried out smoothly.
The WPK carried a unique Korean style socialist revolution creating an advanced socialist system in the DPRK .It also put forth a line of building an independent national economy and wisely led the work for its realization, thus turning the DPRK into a powerful socialist industrial state.
The WPK became the motherly party taking care of the lives of the people ensuring that they had an equally happy life. Free medical and free education were introduced in the DPRK under the leadership of the WPK guided by the great leader comrade Kim Il Sung. The WPK is a true people's party with members from all walks of life. The WPK resolutely rejected bureaucracy and
mixed with the masses.
The WPK always maintained purity in ideology and fidelity to revolutionary , class and socialist principles. Both the great leader comrade Kim Il Sung and comrade Kim Jong Il ensured that the WPK maintain independence and always stuck to the road of socialism no matter how difficult the circumstances were.
The Workers' Party of Korea has been a great contribution to world peace and to the struggle for independence and liberation throughout the world.
Now under the wise leadership of dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un the First Secretary of the WPK new achievements are being made. New buildings are springing up all the time with new cultural and leisure facilities being opened one after another. The UK Korean Friendship Association issued the following statement on the 7th anniversary of the signing of the October 4th Declaration.
It is 7 years since the October 4th Declaration was signed by the DPRK and
south Korea in Pyongyang.
The October 4th declaration cut a pathway through division and partition toward the cherished aim of independent reunification as well as inter-Korean co-operation . It was a development of the June 15 spirit for peaceful reunification of Korea and embodied the concept of "By Our Nation Itself".
Unfortunately the fascist Park Geun Hye puppet regime has totally negated the October 4th Declaration and travelled a road of depending on outside forces such as the US and Japan . The Park regime have slandered the DPRK and insulted its supreme leadership.
Central to this hostility is the reactionary concept of "unification by absorption" and inter system confrontation. This theory is a negation of the October 4th Declaration and the June 15th declaration . The so-called "Dresden" declaration and the recent speech by the south Korean puppet chief executive at the UN are symptomatic of this. Korea does not need "German style " reunification bit instead needs Korean style reunification based on the needs and aspirations of the Korean people and the October 4th and June 15th declarations represent the best way of doing this.
We support the heroic struggle of the south Korean people and patriots to realise the implementation of the October 4th Declaration and also ensure the spirit of "By Our Nation Itself " is embodied in all fields of life, this would include the withdrawal of US troops.
