The Association for the  Study of Songun Politics UK , Juche Idea Study Group of England  and UK Korean Friendship Association  issued the following joint statement in connection with the US imperialists and south Korean puppets holding "joint naval exercises" from the 4th of February.
                               We strongly denounce these exercises as an act of intimidation by the US imperialists and south Korean puppet clique which is being staged after the adoption of the reactionary and brigandish UNSC resolution 2087 . The exercises involve 2 US warships , the nuclear 6,000 submarine the " USS San Francisco" and the "USS Shiloh" an AEGIS guided missile cruiser as well as south Korean puppet warships .
                                     Such exercises can only render the situation on the Korean peninsula ever more strained and bring the outbreak of war nearer. Thus they are destabilizing peace in Asia.
                  Clearly the US imperialists and south Korean puppets are resorting to gunboat diplomacy against the DPRK in a bid to attempt to enforce the criminal UNSC resolution 2087. The aim of the US imperialists is to try and bring the DPRK to its knees and stifle its socialist system by means of the UNSC sanctions enforced by the threat of military action. However the US imperialists should realise that they can never crush or subdue Juche Korea led by the dear respected leader Marshal Kim Jong Un.
                 These exercises coupled with the UNSC sanctions are another criminal affront to the DPRK. We demand that they are stopped at once !

Enlarged Meeting of Central Military Commission of WPK Held under Guidance of Kim Jong Un

 Pyongyang, February 3 (KCNA) -- An enlarged meeting of the Central Military Commission of the Workers' Party of Korea was held under the guidance of

Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the WPK, chairman of the Central Military Commission of the WPK, first chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army.
    Present there were members of the WPK Central Military Commission, staff members of the KPA Supreme Command and commanding officers of the large combined units including the navy, air force and anti-air force and strategic rocket force.
    The enlarge meeting of the WPK Central Military Commission discussed the issue of bringing about a great turn in bolstering up the military capability, true to the Songun revolutionary leadership of the WPK, and an organizational issue.
    Kim Jong Un made an important concluding speech which serves as guidelines for further strengthening the KPA into a matchless revolutionary army of Mt. Paektu and defending the security and sovereignty of the country as required by the WPK and the developing revolution.
    After listening to the historic speech made by Kim Jong Un with great excitement, the participants in the meeting extended highest glory and deepest thanks to Kim Jong Un, who is ushering in the greatest heyday of increasing the military capability with his extraordinary wisdom and stratagem, matchless grit and pluck and noble virtues and evinced their firm determination to unconditionally and thoroughly implement the militant tasks set forth by him in his speech.
    The enlarged meeting of the WPK Central Military Commission held at an important time when a turning phase is being opened in building a thriving socialist nation and achieving the cause of national reunification will mark an important occasion in powerfully encouraging the army and people of the DPRK all out in the general advance of the new year full of conviction of certain victory and optimism and bolstering up the defence capability of the country in every way. -0-

Kim Jong Il’s Exploits Performed for the Cause of Socialism

Chairman Kim Jong Il (1942-2011) of the National Defence Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea performed immortal exploits for the cause of socialism.

The greatest of his exploits is that he staunchly defended the destiny of socialism.

The campaign for defending socialism in the end of the 20^th century was the grimmest struggle the human history has ever recorded.

Availing themselves of the collapse of socialism in several countries the imperialists made a fuss about the end of socialism itself. The imperialists and the renegades of socialism resorted to despicable smear campaigns against socialism to justify their argument on the end of socialism. And they directed the spearhead of their offensive to Korea that remained as a bulwark of socialism.

At this critical juncture Chairman Kim Jong Il clarified the scientific accuracy and truth of socialism and the inevitability of its victory through his energetic ideological and theoretical activities, dealing a resolute counterattack to the imperialists’ manoeuvres against socialism.

He published a series of works including The Historical Lesson in Building Socialism and the General Line of Our Party, Abuses of Socialism Are Intolerable and Socialism Is a Science so as to lay bare the absurdity of the slanders and abuses of the imperialists.

Thanks to his painstaking ideological and theoretical activities the scientific accuracy and truth of socialism could be clarified once again and the world progressive people were convinced of the justness of socialism and the inevitability of its victory.

Chairman Kim Jong Il established and administered Songun politics in an all-round way in order to safeguard socialism in Korea against the general offensive of the imperialists.

He defined Songun-based revolutionary line and Songun politics as the strategic line and invincible political mode of socialism that should be held fast to as long as the imperialists exist and carry on aggressive manoeuvres.

He smashed the imperialists’ moves to stifle Korea and defended the bulwark of socialism and the destiny of the country and nation in the period of the harshest trials on the strength of the Korean People’s Army and by giving top priority to the strengthening of the country’s military might.

Another major exploit of Chairman Kim Jong Il consists in having ushered in a new era of upsurge in the cause of socialism.

April 1992 saw the publication of the Pyongyang declaration titled Let Us Defend and Advance the Cause of Socialism that was signed by about 70 political parties of the world aspiring after socialism. It was a historical event that put the world socialist movement on a new track.

VOA commented that the Pyongyang declaration had proclaimed a new start of the international communist movement of the late 20^th century and the 21^st century; the bell to be rung in Pyongyang in future would unite the communists and greatly inspire them to revive the communist cause on a worldwide scale just as the sound of the bell from Kremlin had strong influence on communists.

Under the banner of the Pyongyang declaration the socialist cause could overcome temporary crisis and make a new advance and the world political trend took a sharp turn. Latin America, once called a quiet backyard of the US, seethed with the aspiration after socialism.

Encouraged by Korea’s Songun politics, anti-imperialist, independent countries and those aspiring after socialism are crushing the imperialists’ manoeuvres for domination and interference by giving precedence to military affairs.

The reality in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea that is mercilessly smashing all manners of challenges and threats of the imperialists and staunchly safeguarding the cause of socialism, is infusing confidence and courage into the world progressive people who are aspiring after socialism.

Chairman Kim Jong Il resolutely crushed the imperialists’ offensives against socialism holding aloft the banner of Songun and at the same time, energetically led the Korean people’s effort for building a thriving socialist country. Under his leadership Korea, even in such a difficult situation, continued to enforce the free medical care, free educational system and other socialist policies and built a number of monumental structures for the well-being of the people, thus bringing the desires of the people into full bloom.

The great achievements Chairman Kim Jong Il made for the cause of socialism are now carried forward by Kim Jong Un with credit.

The immortal exploits Kim Jong Il performed for the cause of socialism will be etched forever in the hearts of the progressive peoples the world over.

Blasts U.S. Double Standards over Satellite Launch Issue

Pyongyang, February 2 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the Foreign Ministry of the DPRK gave the following answer to the question put by KCNA Saturday as regards the fact that U.S. revealed the double standards and brigandish nature by denying the DPRK the right to launch satellite for peaceful purposes:
    The U.S., which masterminded the UN Security Council's "resolution" against the DPRK's launch of satellite Kwangmyongsong 3-2, supported and defended south Korea's launch of satellite Naro, drawing worldwide censure and derision.
    A spokesman for the U.S. State Department made sophism that south Korea has carried out space launch program in a responsible manner and clarified that it is not for military purposes, adding that south Korea's approach is, therefore, quite different from north Korea's.
    The U.S. denied the DPRK's right to launch satellite for no justifiable reason but blindly connived at the satellite launch by its stooge south Korea. This is the height of double standards and impudence.
    The successful launch of Kwangmyongsong 3-2 by the DPRK was the exercise of the legitimate right of a sovereignty state consistent with universally recognized international law. Even professional institutions in the U.S., to say nothing of the international community, admitted that the DPRK's satellite goes around its orbit.
    This being a hard fact, the U.S. perpetrated the highhanded hostile act of deliberately negating the DPRK's independent and legitimate right to satellite launch. This goes to prove that from the outset it intended to use the satellite launch as a new occasion of stifling the DPRK.
    The U.S. was wrong in seeking the adoption of UNSC "resolutions" which it cites whenever an opportunity presents itself to use as a pretext for denying the DPRK's right to satellite launch. It forced the UNSC to enforce the hostile policy in a bid to block the DPRK's scientific research into space and its economic development, trampling upon the universally accepted international law reflecting the general will of the international community in violation of the fundamental principles of the UN Charter which calls for respecting each country's sovereignty and ensuring impartiality.
    Last year when it left no means untried to stifle the DPRK the U.S. allowed the south Korean puppets to drastically extend the range of missiles in violation of the missile non-proliferation regime cooked up by itself, straining the regional situation.
    Still overlooked is the brigandish logic that its stooges are allowed to do whatever they like and those countries hostile to it are not allowed to do anything and the law governing existence based on jungle law prevails. It is the situation of the present world.
    The American way of thinking, American standard may work on other countries but never on the DPRK.
    The army and people of the DPRK have launched an all-out struggle to defend the dignity and sovereignty of the country.
    The U.S. brazen-faced double standards and highhanded hostile act are bound to face the DPRK's toughest retaliation. -0-

No Denuclearization of Korean Peninsula without Denuclearization of World: Rodong Sinmun

Pyongyang, February 1 (KCNA) -- The denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula is impossible unless the world is denuclearized as it has become clear now that the U.S. policy hostile to the DPRK remains unchanged, says Rodong Sinmun Friday in a bylined article.
    It goes on:
    The denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula is the issue that the DPRK initiated in view of the nuclear threat of the U.S. and for whose solution the DPRK has made positive efforts.
    The DPRK government warned in April 1959 against the U.S. imperialists' conversion of south Korea into a nuclear base and advanced a proposal to establish a peace zone in Asia free from nuclear weapons.
    The U.S. blocked the denuclearization of the peninsula while spreading the story about "effectiveness" of nuclear weapons, far from accepting the positive proposal of the DPRK.
    The U.S. staged ceaseless war exercises of various forms in south Korea and its vicinity with nuclear forces involved, imposing nuclear threat and blackmail upon the DPRK and increasing the danger of nuclear war on the Korean Peninsula.
    The grave situation prevailing in the peninsula where the DPRK is exposed to grave nuclear threat of the U.S. required the DPRK to physically cope with its increased moves to stifle the DPRK. That was why the DPRK determined to have access to deterrent and had no option but to put it into action.
    The U.S. pulled up the DPRK over its satellite launch for peaceful purposes, terming it "a ballistic missile launch", and fabricated the "resolution" at the UNSC. This was a product and height of the U.S. hostile policy toward the DPRK.
    Now that the U.S. hostile policy toward the DPRK has entered its more dangerous phase, it will focus all its efforts not on the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula but on that of the world. -0-

The DPRK grandly celebrates February 16, the birthday of leader Kim Jong Il as the Day of Shining Star.

With President Kim Il Sung’s conception “The People Are My God” as his lifelong motto, leader Kim Jong Il devoted his whole life to the welfare of the people, saying he was a son of the people.

Looking back upon episodes on his love for people, the Korean people are earnestly longing for him.

On December 15, Juche 100 (2011) he gave field guidance to Kwangbok Area Supermarket in Pyongyang despite severe cold of winter.

Looking round counters, he taught in detail how to secure goods.

He said he plan to make people use things best in the world and gave an instruction to build more service establishments like the Kwangbok Area Supermarket in the future to supply people with many goods.

He told officials to organize competition between the supermarket and Pyongyang Department Store No.1 for public favor, adding the emulation would enable people to be provided with more goods.

He was very satisfied to see a new commercial service center for the improved livelihood of people and said with a bright smile on his face the abundant goods warmed up his mind though the weather was cold.

He said he was most pleased when he had done something for people and he found his happiness and joy in the people’s happiness.

The people’s happiness and joy was his philosophy of revolution, the objective of his struggle and his great revolutionary life itself.

The life of leader Kim Jong Il was only for the people.

Like this, leader Kim Jong Il was a great leader of the people who found his happiness and joy on the road of field guidance for the people.

The road is now invariably continued by the respected Marshal Kim Jong Un.

The Korean people will always remember leader Kim Jong Il who devoted his whole life only for the welfare of the people.

Space Science and Technology of Korea

Carrier rocket Unha-3 with the artificial earth satellite Kwangmyongsong 3-2 atop blasted off successfully at forty six seconds of nine forty nine a.m. on December 12, Juche 101(2012).

It was a behest of leader Kim Jong Il to launch a scientific and technological satellite in Juche 101(2012) marking the centenary of birth of President Kim Il Sung.

Leader Kim Jong Il pursued the noble will of President Kim Il Sung who went on a new road with great idea to conquer the space and gave a strategic line to develop artificial earth satellites, putting the development of space science and technology on a firm basis.

As a result, the DPRK manufactured an artificial earth satellite, an aggregate of latest science and technology, with its own technology and efforts and launched the first test-satellite successfully on Juche 87(1998) at a go.

On the basis of the attained successes and experiences leader Kim Jong Il in his lifetime planned the launch of a working satellite to further develop space science and technology and open up a broader avenue of the building of a thriving nation.

Marshal Kim Jong Un, supreme leader of the Korean Party, State and Army devoted all his meditation and ardor to accomplish all things planned and guided by leader Kim Jong Il.

Eventually, the DPRK launched its working satellite into space in Juche 101(2012).

It took the DPRK 14 years to put a working satellite on space after the first test-satellite launching.

Kwangmyongsong 3-2, an earth observation satellite revolving along the polar orbit is a satellite of Korean style as everything including designing, manufacture, assembly, lift-off and monitoring devices after the blast-off was indigenously produced 100%.

Under the affection and trust of Marshal Kim Jong Un Korean scientists and technicians wound up the scientific research for improving the reliability and precision of the carrier rocket and the satellite in a short span of time and successfully launched off the satellite despite severe cold in winter without exerting any influence on neighboring countries.

The Korean people will in the future too, implement the behests of leader Kim Jong Il under the leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un and build a space power the world looks up to.
