DPRK denounces faked up spy cases

Pyongyang, August 6 (KCNA) -- The south Korean authorities are trying to implicate the DPRK in the "spy ring case", the largest-ever cooked up after the emergence of the present "government."

The Intelligence Service and police of south Korea kicked off an unprecedented repressive campaign, charging that progressive forces and those related to the reunification movement including the chief editor of magazine Minjok 21 and the representative of Chongchun, an Internet broadcasting service under the Solidarity for Implementing the South-North Joint Declaration, conducted "espionage" at the "instruction of the north".

This serious provocation revealed the fin de siecle symptom of the fascist group obsessed by confrontation with fellow countrymen.

The south Korean authorities are now finding themselves in a tight corner for the acts of treachery committed since they came to power. They seek to find a way-out of it in orchestrating a shocking "case."

The successive south Korean rulers have been engrossed in provoking the DPRK. Whenever they found themselves in crises, they cooked up anti-DPRK cases and used them for stoking hostility toward the fellow countrymen in the DPRK while escalating confrontation and war moves. This was their trite artifice.

This year the south Korean Court declared non-guilty Mr. Jo Pong Am, former leader of the Progressive Party, who was executed on the charge of his alleged involvement in "a spy ring case" 52 years ago. This was just part of tragedies showing the preposterous nature of "spy ring cases" and the like fabricated by the south Korean authorities.

At a time when the expectation for dialogue between the north and the south is running high, the south Korean puppet group is employing a hackneyed method, defying the requirement of the reality. This only brings into bolder relief their wretched plight of being mired by the worst ruling crisis.

The recent case brought to light the true colors of the puppet conservative group who stakes its fate on escalated confrontation with fellow countrymen.

It is quite natural that the south Koreans are denouncing the harsh suppression of the progressive forces and those related to the reunification movement as "hunting" of the ordinary people desirous of national reunification by dint of "the National Security Law." -0

Pyongyang, August 8 (KCNA) -- The south Korean fascist authorities' fabrication of the "spy ring case" is a premeditated plot to brutally suppress and stamp out the pro-reunification movement organizations and progressive figures incurring their displeasure by linking them to the DPRK.

Rodong Sinmun Monday observes this in a bylined commentary.

Whenever the successive fascist dictators of south Korea found themselves in their extreme ruling crisis, they cooked up "spy ring cases" in a bid to divert the people's attention elsewhere and justify their suppression of progressive forces. This was the trite artifice employed by them, the commentary notes, and goes on:

In recent years, the conservative authorities have blocked the democratic development of the society, brought the economy to ruin, deteriorated the people's living and pushed the inter-Korean relations to a total collapse through the harshest fascist dictatorial rule and escalated confrontation with the DPRK. The resentment and hatred of the people from all walks of life for them have reached the height. The "National Assembly election" and the "presidential election" are expected to take place in south Korea next year. They aim to take these elections as platforms for throwing overboard those conservative forces for having enforced a misrule quite contrary to public mind-set.

Thrown into the abyss of utter isolation and ruin, they are seeking a way out of it in orchestrating a shocking "case."

The south Korean public is now becoming increasingly vocal demanding the authorities make a switchover in their anachronistic "policy toward the north" as required by the trend of the times and opting for mending the inter-Korean relations. The above-said case was cooked up by the ultra-right conservative forces in south Korea who have so far stuck to the policy of escalating the confrontation under the signboard of "adhering to principles." This case is aimed to throw a wet blanket over the public calling for the improved inter-Korean relations and justify their existing stand. -0

South Korea's dependent economy

The south Korean economy is indeed a dependent economy and a modern version of a colonial economy. Lets briefly survey some facts .

South Korea's external debt is $370 billion dollars (or $7,400 per head of population and its internal debt is $319 billion dollars. South Korea's debts are actually much higher than at the the time of the IMF bailout in 1998.
South Korea belongs to the imperialist controlled IMF , World Bank, World Trade Oganisation ,the G20 and APEC.

It has a number of shackling economic agreements with the US and recently conclude a so called "Free Trade Agreement ". South Korea is a playground for the transnational corporations of international monopoly capitalism . Here is a by no means exhaustive or comphrensive list of foreign companies in south Korea . Nor does it give a full picture of south Korea's dependency and domination by foreign companies as some 'south Korean' companies are either wholly owned by foreign capital such as the Korea Exchange Bank (bought by Lone Star of the US) or the Shinhan Corporation in which foreign banks have a stake or Samsung which is 82% foreign owned.

DPRK not affected by the so-called "world financial turmoil"

During the first week of August 2011 the imperialist world was gripped by crisis, chaos and turmoil . First the US nearly defaulted on its own internal debts which amount to $15.03 trillion dollars( a sum which would feed the world many times over), this was averted at the last minute after squabbling between the 2 US bourgeois parties -the "Democrats" and "Republicans" nearly sank an agreement . Then later in the week some other EU countries such as Italy admitted problems with internal debts and might need bailing out. Already a number of 'Eurozone ' countries have had to be bailed out. A UK travel firm Holidays 4 U went bankrupt . Stockmarkets crashed wiping billions off share and stock values. Of course this is not new. Only 2 years ago banks in different countries had to be bailed out by the state .
One country in the world stands out as being unaffected by the world capitalist crisis , the DPRK . The Russian paper Pravada . ru commented
"North Korea, or the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, most likely does not suffer from the world financial crisis.....North Korea does not suffer from the world economic crisis indeed. There are no market institutions in the country, no joint-stock companies and no stock markets. In addition, North Korea is practically a self-sufficient nation" . It is a fact that no DPRK bank needed to bailed out . The DPRK does not have a massive budget deficit , its public spending is not financed by borrowing but by profits from state owned industry . In fact in the last financial year budgetary revenue exceeded expenditure by 1.4 % On the Korean peninsula it was the neo-colonial puppet dependent puppet economy of south Korea that had to be bailed out by the IMF in 1998 . Todays it's external debt is $370 billion dollars and the internal public debt is 319 billion dollars . The socialist planned economy of the DPRK means that it does not suffer from the cyclic crisis of capitalism . The DPRK has its own stable currency the DPRK Won The Juche -based independent economy of the DPRK means that it is immune from the financial turmoil sweeping the world. .This a great achievement of the Juche idea.

CPRK Secretariat Blasts 'Spy Ring Case' Fabricated by S. Korean Security Authorities

Pyongyang, August 4 (KCNA) -- The Secretariat of the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of Korea (CPRK) issued information bulletin No. 977 Thursday denouncing the south Korean public security authorities for cooking up "spy ring case."

The bulletin says:

The south Korean fascist security authorities including the Intelligence Service and prosecution have kicked off a wholesale repression of pro-reunification patriots in south Korea after cooking up "spy ring case."

They arrested lots of people of opposition parties and those from all social standings including trade unions, academic and economic circles, talking about "contacts" and presenting "material evidence." They are investigating those people in a bid to persecute them.

The CPRK Secretariat denounces the "spy ring case" fabricated by the south Korean puppet group as a fascist suppression of pro-reunification and patriotic forces in south Korea and another serious provocation to the DPRK.

The "spy ring case" is a groundless farce.

As for "material evidence" put up by them, they were already made public through south Korean media and Internet. What they called "list" is also a sheer fabrication.

The security authorities named the "underground party" organization this or that, provoking the laughter of the people.

It is a trite method traditionally used by the puppet group to cook up "spy ring cases" whenever it faced serious ruling crises.

South Korea is on the verge of catastrophe due to the puppet group's despicable policy of sycophancy and treachery, its moves for confrontation with fellow countrymen, unpopular rule and corruption and irregularities. The people's wrath and grudge against the authorities are running high.

The south Koreans from all walks of life are waging unflinching anti-"government" actions, determined to vote down the puppet group in the "National Assembly" and "presidential" elections slated for next year.

By fabricating such shocking cases as "spy ring case" and kicking off a repressive campaign, the puppet security authorities seek to distract the mindset of the broad masses from the failed domestic and foreign policies and stalled north-south relations and divert elsewhere the attention of the public opinion. It also seeks to tide over the crisis by branding the progressive forces as "pro-communist" and "pro-north" forces and thus ensure the conservative group's maintenance of power.

Another aim sought by the group is to turn down the public demand for improving the north-south relations and making a switchover in the "north policy" and maintain the policy of escalating confrontation with fellow countrymen.

No wonder, the "spy ring case" met a strong rebuff from the south Korean opposition parties and people from all social strata. They are dismissing the case as a "base and despicable farce", a "plot to stamp out the progressive forces" and "part of campaign for next year's general and presidential elections".

The recent case brought to light the true colors of the conservative group keen on stoking confrontation against reunification.

The fascist security authorities are gravely mistaken if they think they can mislead the public opinion and tide over the ruling crisis through such sordid farce.

Their last-ditch efforts will only invite bitterer censure at home and abroad and provoke stronger protest by the people.

The south Korean conservative group had better immediately stop the mean farce and suppression of the pro-reunification and patriotic figures. -0-

Pyongyang, August 2 (KCNA) -- President Kim Il Sung clarified the essence of the world revolution and the law governing its development from a new angle and, on this basis, expounded original ideas and theories on making the whole world independent.

He newly clarified the essence of the world revolution with main emphasis on independence, the life and soul of human being as a social being. This helped clearly explain the fact that the ultimate goal of the world revolution is to fully realize the independence of the popular masses worldwide and roundly expose the absurdity and injustice of sophism of the modern revisionists and their mouthpieces that advocated compromise with imperialism, talking about "priority to the value of the whole mankind" and "community linked by the common destiny."

The President made a scientific formulation for the first time in history that the struggle for making the whole world independent means, in essence, establishing international relations based on independence and democratizing the international community. He, at the same time, lucidly explained that making the whole world independent is a common task facing the world people in our times.

He also clarified that the driving force for the world revolution is the world people advocating independence and they comprise all the anti-imperialist independent forces advocating independence against imperialism and hegemony including the socialist countries, national liberation movement in colonies, the Non-Aligned Movement and the world peace movement.
