The Association for the Study of Songun Politics UK(ASSPUK),  the British Group for the Study of the  Juche Idea(BGSJI), the  Korean Friendship Association of the UK(KFA UK) and the British Solidarity Committee For Peace and Reunification on the Korean peninsula ( foreign minister of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea) issued the following joint statement in support of the statement issued by comrade Choe Son Hui that was issued on the 21st of April;

Recently the so-called 'Group of Seven '(G7), a cabal of wealthy imperialist First World states. poked its nose into the issue of the DPRK's nuclear weapons. The G7 arrogantly told the DPRK not to exercise its independent sovereign right to self-defensive measures against US threats and aggression. The G7 played the old song about the abandonment of "all nuclear and ballistic missile programs in a complete, verifiable and irreversible manner."  This is both pompous and at the same a violation of the sovereignty of the DPRK as well as basically being a call for the overthrow of the socialist system in the DPRK.

Comrade Choe Son Hui, Foreign Minister of the DPRK in her statement strongly rebuffs the nonsense and arrogance of the G7. As she correctly points out "G7 has neither authority nor qualification to say this or that about the DPRK's exercise of its sovereignty and its national status."

The statement of comrade Choe Son Hui makes clear the just and invariable stand of the DPRK concerning nuclear weapons which are now enshrined in the basic law of the DPRK. The DPRK does not need permission from anyone to have nuclear weapons. In fact, the G7 is taking a blatantly colonialist and imperialist attitude.

Comrade Choe Son Hui declares that "The position of the DPRK as a world-class nuclear power is final and irreversible." Moreover, the G7 is reminded that the DPRK withdraw from the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) some 20 years ago so it is under no obligation whatsoever.

The US and its mouthpieces in the G7 should take the hands of the DPRK. The US needs to end its hostile policy towards the DPRK if it does not want to see the DPRK's increasing nuclear deterrence.
