ASSPUK, BGSJI , UK KFA and BSCPRKP hail the 5th Enlarged Plenary Meeting of 8th WPK Central Committee and the meeting of the Secretariat of the CC of the WPK

 The Association for the Study of Songun Politics UK(ASSPUK), the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea (BGSJI) , UK Korean Friendship Association (UK KFA ) and the British Solidarity Committee for Peace and Reunification on the Korean Peninsula(BSCPRKP)issued a joint statement hailing the holding of  the 5th  Enlarged Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers Party of Korea and meeting of Secretariat of the Central Committee the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) ;

Between the 8th of June to the 10th of June  the 5th Enlarged Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the WPK  was held under the guidance of the General Secretary of the WPK Respected Marshal KIM JONG UN . Following the 5th Plenary meeting of the WPK , a meeting of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the WPK was convened on the 12th of June and held under the guidance of respected Marshal KIM JONG UN , general secretary of the WPK .

The 5th Enlarged Plenary Meeting of the WPK Central Committee was held at a challenging time caused by the abnormal inroad of the global pandemic into the DPRK as well as the sanctions of the imperialists and hostile forces. At the plenary meeting the implementation of the decisions of the 8th Congress of the Workers Party of Korea was reviewed and a number of changes to central leadership organs of the WPK and DPRK were made including the promotion of Comrade Choe Son Hui to the postion of Foreign Minister . At the meeting  successes and shortcomings were  analysed and the direction of future work decided on . 

 Respected Marshal KIM JONG UN addressed the meeting and put forward militant tasks to be carried out in the fields of the economy , construction , education , literature and national defence . Marshal KIM JONG UN  stressed that the DPRK has the right to self-defence and that power should be met with power . Also the struggle against anti-socialist and non-socialist practices should be stepped up . Moreover the anti-epidemic struggle should intensfied .

The 5th Enlarged Plenary meeting of the Central Committee will without doubt light the fire of further advance of the Juche revolution under the leadership of respected Marshal KIM JONG UN .

The meeting of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the WPK was held in the presence of respected Marshal KIM JONG UN and took measures to ensure the implementation of the decisions of the 5th Enlarged Plenary Meeting of the Central Committee of the WPK . The   meeting discussed "the issue of establishing the traits of firmly preserving discipline within the Party and waging a more intensive struggle against unsound and non-revolutionary acts including the abuse of power and bureaucratism revealed among some Party officials."  Marshal KIM JONG UN said that it was "  necessary to prioritize the work for encouraging and raising the high political principle, fighting spirit, revolutionary style and communist moral traits within the organizations of the whole Party to thoroughly carry forward the nature, mission and duty of the revolutionary party and develop the fighting efficiency of the socialist ruling party".

It is really great that the WPK under the leadership of respected Marshal KIM JONG UN is taking strong measures to wipe out unsound and non-revolutionary acts .  The WPK is a model for revolutionary parties of the world to follow  !

We hail the historic 5th Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the WPK and the Secretariat of the Central Committee meeting that followed it  .
