People’s Korea - a country upholding socialist principles and not backing down .

 

Visiting the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK ) or Peoples Korea or Korea of Juche  in October for the 80th anniversary of the foundation of the Workers Party of Korea , I witnessed that People’s Korea led by respected Marshal KIM JONG UN , is firmly adhering to socialist and revolutionary principles .

Indeed People’s Korea is the most revolutionary country in the world firmly upholding independence and socialism , even though some doubt it . In today’s chaotic world many have forsaken their principles and have compromised . At the 13th session of the 14th  Supreme People’s Assembly of the DPRK respected Marshal KIM JONG UN declared that ;

“For the Workers' Party of Korea, the government of the Republic and our people, the absolute lifeline is to remain faithful to the socialist line and hold higher the banner of socialism”

These are very inspiring words indeed but was even more inspiring was to see these words being put into action in the practice of the DPRK.

Visiting the Central Cadres Training School of the Workers Party of Korea I witnessed large portraits of Marx and Lenin were displayed . Not only were the portraits of Marx and Lenin displayed  but we were told that the school gives lectures in Marxism-Leninism and that respected Marshal KIM JONG UN himself actually attended a lecture on Marxism -Leninism .Some ultra leftists and revisionists as well bourgeois hostile elements have falsely asserted that the DPRK had “deleted all reference to Marxism -Leninism “ . This is clearly untrue !

Moreover Marshal KIM JONG UN  also instructed that Red flags should be placed in lecture rooms so as to represent the communist ideology of the Workers Party of Korea . I also noticed that at the Party Foundation Museum portraits of Marx, Engels , Lenin and Stalin were displayed there when I visited it . Only two days before we visited the Museum   Marshal KIM JONG UN himself visited the Museum and there was an image on Korean Central TV of him with a portrait of JV Stalin behind him.

We also visited the Revolutionary Museum of KIM IL SUNG University . Looking around the section that explained the revolutionary activities of Chairman KIM JONG IL when he was a student at the university . In this section there was a large picture of Chairman KIM JONG Il with Albanian students at the university which was taken in 1962 on Albanian national day .The display of the picture has a deep significance because it recalls the anti-revisionist history of the DPRK ; in the early 1960s big power chauvinists and modern revisionists had put pressure on Socialist Albania and tried to exclude it from the socialist camp because it opposed modern revisionism so Chairman KIM JONG IL s visit to the Albanian students in their dormitory was a gesture of solidarity with Socialist Albania.

Respected Marshal KIM JONG UN referenced class struggle under socialism in his speech to the national meeting on the 9th of October for the 80th founding anniversary of the Workers Party of Korea saying that “The past 80 years were really complicated and arduous, yet worthwhile and glorious.

Those years witnessed a hard-fought war for repulsing the armed invasion by the allied imperialist forces and defending the land and dignity of the country, processes for building a country and creating a life again from scratch, and social revolutions that were accompanied by an acute class struggle and elimination of factions in the Party.”

So basically visiting the DPRK for the 20th time I was convinced that the DPRK is fully upholding socialism , revolutionary principles and anti-revisionist principles. The DPRK is not backing down or deviating from the road it has always followed.

On behalf of KFA Switzerland (Swiss Korea Committee) I send you heartful congratulations for the 25th founding anniversary of the Korean Friendship Association.

This jubilee really marks a historic event.

In the past 25 years, KFA organized numerous great events to glorify the DPRK's and the Korean people's anniversaries.

And it made great contributions to honour the great Leaders President KIM IL SUNG, Chairman KIM JONG IL and respected Marshal KIM JONG UN and to praise their immortal work for the people's happiness.

KFA is the banner of friendship and defense of socialist Korea. It is "the DPRK outside the DPRK".

No other organization of friendship with the DPRK is so active and experienced like KFA. 

In the past quarter century, KFA won thousands of new members around the world, thanks to your untiring activity.

Our committee wishes the KFA Annual Meeting in Granada a full success and happy moments with the comrade delegates.

 Message of Greetings On The 25th Anniversary of The Korean Friendship Association.

Dear Comrade & Friends,

May I send my warmest greetings on behalf of the Staffordshire branch of the UK Korean Friendship Association and in my own personal capacity. The Korean Friendship Association marks 25 years of its existence as the leading body on the international stage, promoting solidarity and cultural ties with the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea.

At the turn of the century, on 13th November 2000, with the establishment of the Korean Friendship Association, a new dynamic era in the promotion of friendship with the DPRK was opened. From very modest beginnings, when it was first founded 25 years ago, the KFA has become the primary force for DPRK solidarity activities, with branches in 34 countries and with a membership in 120 nations. From its very first days, the KFA has utilised the internet and all other forms of social media to present the reality of Socialist Korea to the world on an almost 24/7 basis and cut through the torrent of lies about the DPRK from the corporate media.

None of the activities of the Korean Friendship Association would have been possible without the initiative and passion of Alejandro Cao de Benos. The President of the KFA has played an outstanding role in building and consolidating the Korean Friendship Association over the past quarter of a century. Alejandro's work in the development of the KFA as a global front for solidarity and friendship with the heroic people of the DPRK has been truly inspirational for all the members and supporters of the Korean Friendship Association. One sign that the KFA has achieved success in its objectives was the hate campaign directed against the KFA President and the KFA leadership by the reactionary forces. The warmongers will never silence the voice of the KFA as the cause of the Korean Friendship Association is a just one of peace and anti-imperialism. 

Twenty-five years after the founding of the KFA, the Korean Friendship Association is regarded as the most visible and prominent pro-DPRK force, both on social media and in real life. The KFA today is an extremely inclusive organisation with members from various social backgrounds among its ranks. Over the years, the KFA has built up a base of leading activists who are continually campaigning for the realisation of the aims of the KFA in their respective countries. A great advantage of the KFA is that it has been able to appeal to young people and reveal the truth that the DPRK is a model of social justice. The KFA can only go from strength to strength in its noble mission of defending the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea! Let us continue to advance the cause of the Korean Friendship Association!

The anniversary celebrated by the Korean Friendship Association organization is a good opportunity to appreciate the commitment of all members of the multinational KFA family from around the world to fulfilling the KFA mission over the past quarter - century.

I observe with appreciation the work performed by all KFA branches worldwide to defend the truth about the DPRK and to promote DPRK history, culture, and the values ​​of Juche socialism.

On behalf of Korean Friendship Association UK, where I serve as the organization secretary, I wish to express my joy at the fact that since its inception 25 years ago, KFA has developed and grown into a powerful global social association with many thousands of members and a vibrant active presence. At Korean Friendship Association UK, we are pleased to collaborate with all KFA branches, deeply believing that synergistic cooperation will contribute to mutual benefits and the further development of friendship between all nations and the DPRK, and constitute a strong defense and fortress built on a solid foundation of combative struggle against the lies and manipulations of forces hostile to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

Speech of comrade Alejandro Cao De Benos , KFA President to the KFA International Meeting , Granada , Spain 22.11.2025

                                        

Dear comrades and friends, 

 It is a great pleasure to be together with you in this important time, when we celebrate the 25th anniversary of the KFA with our title "DPRK, beacon of hope for the world and mankind". 

 The DPRK is the demonstration of what the human can do, when the selfish and animal traces in man, are set aside for the benefit of the common good.

 A regular word that one can see all around the DPRK is "Rakwon" meaning "Paradise". This is because since the liberation and creation of the republic, the dream of our Eternal President KIM IL SUNG was to create a society that will be sovereign, based on equality, free from exploitation and where the Korean people will live a prosperous life in community. 

 His dream became a reality and it's difficult to understand how such a small country could survive against all threats and wars from the attacking empires. Generalissimo KIM IL SUNG devoted his everything for the good of the people, he never looked for himself and found his happiness by making the others happy. This is an example followed by our Great Leaders KIM JONG IL and KIM JONG UN, and that became the basis of unity and strength of today's DPRK.

 As the world get immersed in inequality, criminality, wars, racial, religious conflict and drugs, the DPRK is free from such diseases. How is it possible? Because the Korean people valued their culture, independence and dignity over imported orders and oppression of the big imperialist powers. The creation of Juche, has shown that only by adapting socialism to the reality and culture of each country, it can be successful in breaking apart from the capitalist decadence.

 Many people use the word "Socialism" in a very distorted manner. When a nation puts 80% of their companies in private hands, when the people is allowed to gamble and speculate in the stock market, when one person can rent and buy properties benefitting from the necessity of others, that country has betrayed the basic principles of a fair society. Rich and poor classes will be created and the inequality circle will be perpetuated. So, according to such principles there is only one real socialist country in the world, and that is the DPRK. 

 After becoming a superpower in the construction and military fields, the DPRK is now aiming to become an economic tiger. Now that the worst times are gone, that the national production has been upgraded and the economic sanctions have been partially broken due to the renewed relations with Russia, the DPRK can truly show the economic potential of its socialism. Recent news just informed that Russia is willing to develop the exploration of oil in the East Sea of Korea. The access to such essential goods will also propel the independent economy. 

 I am confident that in few years, the DPRK will demonstrate its superiority by becoming a modern, civilized society with all kind of consumption products available to all its citizens, and that countries that in the past sidelined with the U.S. empire will come knocking at our doors. 

 When I created the KFA 25 years ago, the goal was to have an organization of friends that defend and support the country, becoming a bridge of cultural understanding between nations. 

 There was one big difference with other friendship organizations or groups. We will not allow KFA to be manipulated by other parties and we will not let opportunistic people to join for their private interest/benefit.

 I am pleased to inform that in the last year our leadership and membership has been consolidated. . 

 We're adding new friends on a daily basis and in the last months we've seen more young members willing to take responsibilities. We are developing our contacts and friendship with many influencers in internet, having interviews reaching hundreds of thousands in audience and there're many individuals, companies and organizations that depend on us for accurate and objective information and updates of the reality in the DPRK. 

 

 I want to thank all of you that have been supporting and accompanying KFA in its creation and long way of 25 years of history, specially to Ri Jong Gun dongji, Chang Chung Sik dongji, Mun Jae Chol dongji, Pak Kwang Ung dongji, Kang Hyon Gyu dongji and give a warm welcome to the new members that are joining us today. 

 An a special deep respect and memory for President Kim Yong Nam dongji, who recently passed away, always supported our work and said that "KFA is the locomotive that leads the friendship and defense of the DPRK all around the world".

 Let's continue together our journey by defending the legacy of our Great Leaders and the honor of the DPRK. 

 Long live our Great Leaders President KIM IL SUNG, GENERALISSIMO KIM JONG IL and Marshal KIM JONG UN!!

DPRK, BEACON OF HOPE FOR THE WORLD AND MANKIND” -speech of Dr Dermot Hudson to the KFA International Meeting Granada , Spain 22.11 .2025

 

This year has  not only seen the 80th anniversary of Korea’s liberation in August and the 80th anniversary of the foundation of the great Workers Party of Korea  but it's also the 25th anniversary of the foundation of the Korean Friendship Association by comrade Alejandro Cao De Benos. The Korean Friendship Association (KFA ) is the sword and shield of People’s Korea in the imperialist world .

The reason why KFA exists and why we are holding this significant international meeting is to defend People’s Korea because it is a genuine beacon of hope for the world and humanity .People’s Korea is the most advanced socialist country which is an example for progressive humanity and a model of socialism . The Russian Communist leader Nina Andreeva , head of the All Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks of the former USSR, gave a lecture at KIM IL SUNG University in October 1992  which was titled "The Cause of Socialism Is Invincible” in which she described the DPRK as an indestructible bulwark of socialism in Asia.

Indeed I visited the DPRK, the  country of Juche , the land of President KIM IL SUNG for the first time  in May 1992 . In those days , the revisionist USSR and the bloc of socialist countries around it had collapsed or more accurately , socialism was frustrated in those countries , it was betrayed by the treacherous revisionist leadership of Gorbachev . New forms of anti-communism and anti-socialism appeared . The imperialists, drunk with what they saw as their victory over the socialist camp, schemed to topple the DPRK , to destroy its socialist system and restore capitalism . Many people wondered what would happen to the DPRK . Some cynics and defeatists hidden amongst so-called progressives and leftists in the West sneered that the DPRK would not last long . Of course these blockheads were totally ignorant of the Juche-based, independent , self-reliant socialist system of the DPRK , wrongly seeing the DPRK as a creation and an extension of the old USSR . When I arrived in the DPRK after a few days I became immediately impressed and inspired by the solidity and durability of Juche based socialism that had been built by President KIM IL SUNG and Chairman KIM JONG IL as well as by the efforts of  the great  Korean people. When I was in the DPRK for the first time I saw no black market currency dealers . I remember arriving in Budapest , the capital of revisionist Hungary in the 1980s and seeing black market currency dealers almost immediately. Looking around the streets of Budapest I saw not only a McDonalds but also Rambo and Madonna posters , people wearing jeans , all very westernised , illustrative of the deep ideological and cultural infiltration of imperialism .In the DPRK I saw no such things . I was convinced that socialism in the DPRK could never collapse and would last eternally !

Visiting People’s Korea many times since 1992  , I have never seen graffiti or vandalism on the streets which are also clean and free of litter . In People’s Korea you will not see pornography and there is no prostitution . You will not see betting shops or sex shops . There is no one begging on the streets or the trains .In People’s Korea  housing is free health care and education are also free but citizens do not pay tax . Every citizen has the right to eat which is guaranteed by the supply of food at a cost next to nothing .

The Juche idea has been applied in People’s Korea to  create a unique and harmonious society of single-hearted unity around the leader and the Party . Everyone is united on the basis of the Juche idea . There are no disturbances , riots or strikes in People’s Korea. In the UK we have had many riots and disturbances and even  in some countries that are building socialism  riots have occurred . In People’s Korea there is no reason for people to protest or stage riots because they have everything  for their lives ;housing ,food ,education  , the right to work and much more.

 Recently in a certain Asian country  the imperialists overthrew the government which was led by a party calling itself ‘communist ‘,by inciting youths to riot on the streets . This was a colour revolution , a coup d'etat by the imperialists who imposed a puppet government on that country . Such a thing cannot happen in People’s Korea because it carried out land reform dozens of years ago and has socialist ownership of the means of production , distribution and exchange . People’s Korea has the revolutionary dictatorship of the proletariat. It also rejects ideological and cultural poisoning and it upholds anti-revisionist principles and raises the banner of socialism high .

Recently respected Marshal KIM JONG UN declared “For the Workers' Party of Korea, the government of the Republic and our people, the absolute lifeline is to remain faithful to the socialist line and hold higher the banner of socialism.”

Thus the DPRK , People’s Korea of Juche , is the true beacon of socialism  , a shining light guiding progressive humanity . 

I say let us, delegates and members of the Korean Friendship Association , unite more firmly to defend People’s Korea , the advanced beacon of humanity and true socialist country !

Report of KFA International Meeting on the theme “ DPRK Beacon of Hope for the World and Mankind “ 22.11 .2025 , Granada, Spain

 

On the 22nd of November delegates, officials , activists and members of the Korean Friendship Association (KFA ) gathered in the southern Spanish city of Granada for the International Meeting of the KFA .The theme of the meeting was appropriately “DPrK, Beacon Of Hope For The World And Mankind”

The choice of Granada for the international meeting was because it was in Granada City that on the 13 November 2000 that comrade Alejandro Cao De Benos founded the Korean Friendship Association . Since that day we have never looked back .

The meeting drew the participation of representatives of KFA from Germany , Hungary and the UK as well as observers from the USA . Significantly this was the first time ever for a delegate from KFA Hungary (a new branch of KFA ) to participate . Spanish KFA officials and members from Andalusia , Valencia , Madrid and other regions of Spain also took part in person . Messages to the meeting were received from all corners of the globe.

The meeting was presided over by KFA President Alejandro Cao De Benos along with Dr Dermot Hudson , Chairman of KFA UK and Jaime Official Delegate of KFA Spain.

The meeting began with the playing of the hymn of KFA , “The Song of National Defence “ .

Comrade President Alejandro read out messages of greetings to the meeting received from the DPRK Embassy in Italy accredited to Spain and from the Korean Association for Cultural Exchange with Foreign Countries (formerly the Korean Committee For Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries ) .

Addressing the meeting comrade Alejandro said that the only real socialist country is the DPRK . He spoke about the 25th anniversary of the foundation of the KFA and why he took the step of founding the KFA . He said that KFA will now take measures to further consolidate its organisation and membership.

Speeches were made in person by participants from the UK , Germany , Hungary and Spain .

The  speech of Dr Dermot Hudson KFA UK chairman concluded with the following words “Thus the DPRK , People’s Korea of Juche , is the true beacon of socialism  , a shining light guiding progressive humanity . 

I say let us, delegates and members of the Korean Friendship Association , unite more firmly to defend People’s Korea , the advanced beacon of humanity and true socialist country !”

Written contributions from the following countries were read out ; KFA Switzerland  , KFA Argentina , KFA Austria , KFA Australia , KFA Chile , KFA Colombia ,KFA France, KFA Ghana , KFA Cambodia ,KFA Italy , KFA Mexico , KFA Poland , KFA Russia ,KFA Serbia, KFA Singapore , KFA Turkey and KFAUSA . 

Written messages from the KFA UK Organisation Secretary Alan Bolon and from Staffordshire KFA UK branch were read out .  Additionally there were messages from KFA member in Germany and a young supporter of the DPRK in Lebanon . 

All the above shows the reach and strength of KFA !

The meeting appointed Paula from KFA Andalusia as the new KFA International Communications Secretary .

Various KFA officials and activists were awarded KFA 25th Anniversary badges .

A letter to respected Marshal KIM JONG UN was adopted .

The meeting took steps to improve and further consolidate KFA internal organisation . It was decided that the next international meeting will be in Valencia , Spain . It was also proposed that KFA should throw its weight behind holding the next International Festival in Praise of the Great Persons of Mt Paektu.

Afterwards attendees of the KFA  International meeting enjoyed an excellent meal at a buffet restaurant in Granada. A tour of Granada was also organised for the participants of the meeting .

All in all it was a great event ! Let us embody the spirit of the KFA International meeting in the UK .
