A Turkish friend asked us to write an article about the importance of Juche-based IT in People’s Korea in the light of the recent incidents in Lebanon when pagers exploded .
Up to 2,800 people in Lebanon and Syria have been injured by exploding pagers . According to the British newspaper the “Daily Mirror “ Israel has not confirmed or denied any role in the explosions in Lebanon but 12 current and former defence and intelligence officials told the New York Times the Israelis were behind it, describing the operation as 'complex and long'. Initially it was suspected that the pagers had been intercepted on their way to the Iranian-backed terror group and had tiny bombs planted in them”
Whatever the full story behind the recent incidents in the Middle East , the fact that they along with the recent Microsoft outage underline the importance of a country having its own independent information technology industry which does not rely on imported IT .
The best example of such a country is People’s Korea or Juche Korea or the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea . The DPRK was not affected by the Microsoft Outage and its citizens do not have to worry about adversaries such as the US , south Korea and Japan using IT to terrorize them and destabilize the country .
The DPRK has long had an IT industry . The DPRK started its computer industry in the 1990s . It also produces its own smartphones and tablets such as the “Arirang “ smartphone .
Moreover the DPRK is immune to the kind of attacks carried out in Lebanon because does not rely on imperialist and capital IT networks and has its own IT and phone networks which are independent and self-relian
