      The  Juche Idea Study Group of England  supported by the UK KFA and Association for the Study of Songun Politics UK is holding a meeting to celebrate the 107th anniversary of the birth of President KIM IL SUNG as well to increase solidarity with People's Korea in the face of sanctions and threats.

Anniversary of KNPC Marked

Pyongyang, March 25 (KCNA) -- A meeting took place here on Sunday to mark the 70th founding anniversary of the Korean National Peace Committee (KNPC).
Present at the meeting were members of the committee including its presidium and secretariat.
Also attending it were officials and members of the Kimilsungist-Kimjongilist Youth League, the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea, the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea, the Socialist Women's Union of Korea, the Korean Committee for Solidarity with the World People, the Democratic Lawyers Association of Korea, the Afro-Asian Solidarity Committee of Korea and the Korean Anti-War Peace Physicians as observers.
A report was made to be followed by speeches at the meeting.
The reporter and speakers said that the committee has conducted brisk activities at home and abroad over the past seven decades to make contributions to defusing tension on the Korean peninsula, reunifying the country and ensuring peace and stability in Northeast Asia and the rest of the world.
They said that thanks to the energetic external activities of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un, the climate towards peace began settling in the Korean peninsula and the region and the good atmosphere favorable for national reconciliation and reunification has been created.
They called for conducting positive activities in demand of the implementation of the historic north-south declarations and the June 12 DPRK-U.S. Joint Statement at home and abroad and thus making contributions to hastening the national reunification and to establishing durable and lasting peace-keeping mechanism on the Korean peninsula, and boosting solidarity with progressive figures, bodies and organizations in the world. -0-

KCNA Commentary on Japan's Hostile Policy towards DPRK

Pyongyang, March 25 (KCNA) -- Japan is desperately persisting in its hostile policy towards the DPRK.
The Japanese government recently said that it is necessary to keep on pressurizing the DPRK as no progress has been made in the "north Korean issue", revealing its intention to renew "its own sanctions on the DPRK" the term of which expires on Apr. 13.
Great irony is that the Japanese reactionaries are foolish enough to regard their sinister act as the only means to "neutralize" the DPRK and the way out to join the trend of the regional situation.
It constitutes a foolish act of those who have no elementary ability to judge the reality and are unable to perceive their miserable status.
If Japan thinks that they can prevent the advance of the DPRK by sanctions, they are sadly mistaken.
Does Japan expect that it can do harm through the sanctions campaign to the DPRK vigorously advancing towards a powerful socialist country by itself and with the self-reliance as a driving force for the leap forward.
Contrary to their expectations, it is Japan which suffers loss from their hostilities.
As known already, Japan is experiencing the estrangement from the diplomatic trend regarding the DPRK in the world.
As Japan has persistently pursued the hostile policy towards the DPRK to make itself a military giant and realize the overseas expansion and to enforce other criminal ultra-right policies, there is no qualification and justification for Japan to take part in the regional peace process now underway centering on the DPRK.
Japan should have opted to make a policy switchover after drawing a lesson from their circumstances.
But Japan is continuously resorting to "its own sanctions on the DPRK" as part of its reckless and invariable hostile policy, which is a frontal challenge to the trend of the detente in the Korean Peninsula and the region the world people desire.
The campaign to renew the sanctions will invite the world community's bitterer condemnation and rejection of the Japanese reactionaries, peace wreckers running counter to the trend of the times, and make the desolate Japan undergo extreme and unprecedented political and diplomatic isolation.
The Abe group is little short of blind guys and the group who leads the country to ruin through foolish reckless acts, as it has done nothing but engendered antagonism with the international community.
The Japanese reactionaries are well advised not to resort to the unnecessary sanctions, but to make an apology and reparation for the extremely hideous crimes committed against the Korean people in the past for the sake of Japan's future. -0-

KIM IL SUNG GREAT INTERNATIONALIST HERO !-special article by Dr Dermot Hudson

                                       

   As we approach the 107th anniversary of the birth of the great leader President KIM IL SUNG,on the 15th of April , we reflect on his many achievements . President KIM IL SUNG was the founder of Juche Korea , the father of modern Korea and the author of the immortal Juche idea which captivates great interest across the globe.
   President KIM IL SUNG was a great internationalist who fought not only for the Korean people  but for the world revolution , for the liberation of all of humanity from exploitation and oppression. Throughout his life  President KIM IL SUNG gave unstinting support for peoples fighting for independence and met many different leaders and fighters from across the globe including very distinguished figures such as Stalin, MaoZedong , Zhou En Lai,Che Guevara , Fidel Castro , Col Gadhafi, Hafez Al Assad , Allende, Norodom Sihanouk, Enver Hoxha , Erich Honecker ,Yasser Arafat  and many others .
 Right from the start President KIM IL SUNG always stressed internationalism and fought for not just for the interests of the Korean people but for the interests of the struggling peoples of the whole world ,whilst at the same time stressing independence and self-reliance. Juche does not mean rejecting internationalism , far from it . As President KIM IL SUNG pointed out "Our adherence to the Juche Idea does not in any way mean that we have become chauvinistic .The Juche Idea we advocate does not conflict with internationalism . Instead it is designed to promote internationalism for it leads to the development of sciences and the building of the economy to suit our particular conditions and thus contributes to increasing the strength of our country and the might of the socialist camp as a whole "
  President KIM IL SUNG put up the slogan of "Defend the Soviet Union " during the anti-Japanese armed struggle . In 1929  he roused youth, students and other sections of the masses for the fight to defend the Soviet Union in order to hold in check the anti-Soviet machinations of the Kuomintang government and the reactionary warlords who had provoked  at the instigation of the Japanese imperialists. President KIM IL SUNG later wrote in his autobiography "With the Century " that  "Our activities in connection with the Zhongdong railway incident represented an internationalist struggle to defend the Soviet Union politically. At that time we regarded the first socialist system established on Earth as a beacon of hope and considered it our solemn internationalist obligation as communists to fight in its defence"
 Later in 1938 and 1939 President KIM IL SUNG led the anti-Japanese guerrillas to defend the Soviet Union , the first workers and peasants state against Japanese aggression.
 The Anti-Japanese guerrillas fought shoulder with their Chinese comrades after imperialism . After Korea was liberated in 1945  President KIM IL SUNG made sure that unstinting support was given to the Chinese People's Liberation Army and Chinese communists in their revolutionary war against the KMT reactionaries .He sent his best fighters such as Kang Gon as well as troops and materials to assist in the Chinese PLA and allowed them to use the northern part of Korea as a rear base. 
 During those heady days of the 1960s and 1970s President KIM IL SUNG ensured that the DPRK punched well above its weight , giving support to many liberation movements and newly independent states .During the Caribbean Crisis of 1962 the DPRK stood by Cuba when the revisionists and big power chauvinists abandoned it. DPRK diplomats and students in Cuba armed themselves ready to fight side by side the Cuban people. President KIM IL SUNG called for international volunteers to be sent to Vietnam and sent the best pilot of the air force of the Korean People's Army to Vietnam as well as tunnelling experts plus material assistance as well. During the 1973 October War between the United Arab Republic and the Israeli Zionists , a squadron of KPA pilots was sent to assist the Arab people in their fight against Zionist aggression .President KIM IL SUNG also supported the Grenadian revolution . He had DPRK construction experts sent to Grenada and the DPRK gave a generous amount of military aid to the People's Revolutionary Government of Grenada , in fact in per capita terms  the DPRK gave more aid to Grenada than the USSR did.
   President KIM IL SUNG was the great friend of the third world who sent agricultural technicians and engineers to many third world countries such as Madagascar , Tanzania , Togo, Central Africa, Benin ,Guinea, Egypt , Rwanda , Burkina Faso, Ghana and the Seychelles . Agricultural institutes bearing the name of KIM IL SUNG were established in Guinea and Tanzania . This was genuine aid as opposed to the fake aid of the imperialists which aims only to corrupt and enslave newly independent countries .
  President KIM IL SUNG  bestowed benevolent favours on foreign revolutionaries such as the Cuban woman journalist Candelaria Rodriguez and the famous Latin American Juche Idea follower
 Genaro Carnero Checa, former secretary general of the Federation of Latin American Journalists.
   Thus the life of President KIM IL SUNG is associated lofty and boundless internationalism.

DPRK SPA Session to Be Convened

Pyongyang, March 22 (KCNA) -- The Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly (SPA) of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea on Mar. 21 made public a decision to convene a SPA session.
According to the decision, the First Session of the 14th SPA will be convened here on Apr. 11, Juche 108 (2019). -0-

DPRK Tax free Socialist Country

                                                                                 

45 years ago today on the 21st of March 1974 , the DPRK passed the law on the abolition of taxation becoming the first tax-free socialist country in the world .
               

It is worth pointing out that at the same time that the DPRK abolished taxation it lowered prices by 20-30 per cent on average and even up to 50 per cent . This was done at time when the capitalist countries were experiencing massive inflation.
                           

In the DPRK people do not know the word tax but in many capitalist countries tax is a heavy burden on working people. In the UK on top of PAYE and VAT we have to pay council tax as well which hits low income people hard .
The UK should follow the DPRK's example and abolish taxation and lower prices !

KCNA Commentary Censures Japan for Checking Trend towards Peace

Pyongyang, March 21 (KCNA) -- Japan reveals its true colors as the one that does not want peace with each passing day.

It is childishly acting by implicating France in naval interception against the DPRK, not content with going busy with it together with the riffraff while talking about the possibility of the latter's transshipment.

Appreciating France's joining with Japan as a part of supporting an operation for monitoring the said transshipment, the Japanese ministry of Defence announced that "it hails France in view of the united efforts of the international community and will as ever closely cooperate with the relevant countries".

Japan's disgraceful behavior is being strongly denounced by the public as it is the last-ditch effort to check the trend towards peace on the Korean peninsula and in the region.

It is the trend of the times and unanimous demand of the world community to defuse tension and ensure permanent and durable peace on the peninsula.

That's why many countries including those around the peninsula express support for the development of the positive situation in the peninsula and the region and strongly call for lifting the sanctions against the DPRK.

Nevertheless, Japan incites the pressure upon the DPRK, swimming against the trend.

Clear is its aim of eagerly inveigling countries out of the region into its moves for escalating tension.

As known, Japan has been isolated and rejected by the regional states since long ago, owing to its ambition for a military giant and overseas expansion.

Moreover, the atmosphere of détente created by the DPRK's proactive measures brings Japan's bad image as the destroyer of peace into bold relief and throws a shadow over its moves for reinvasion.

Japan, much upset by this, is making desperate efforts to get rid of a dilemma while turning its attention to "cooperation" with countries out of the Asia-Pacific region.

It is the real intention of the Japanese reactionaries to show their existence by inveigling countries out of the region into monitoring the DPRK's activities under the pretext of the implementation of the UN Security Council's "sanctions resolutions" and thus provide an environment favorable for militarization.

However, the more persistently the Abe group resorts to its hostile policy towards the DPRK, the more clearly it shows its miserable position marginalized by the trend of situation.

The people in the region and world community will never pardon the Japanese reactionaries hell-bent on laying a grave obstacle on the way of peace on the Korean peninsula with their reckless moves for naval interception against the DPRK.

Japan will be left out of the positive situational trend and thus lose even its miserable existence. -0-
