Flower of the Country, Flower of Happiness

The Law on Sex Equality was promulgated in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea on July 30, Juche 35(1946). Since then, the Korean women have been leading a worthwhile life, proudly exercising their rights in all fields of social life like the men.
Among them are doctors, leading officials, sportswomen flying the flag of the DPRK in international games, famous actresses loved by people and labour innovators.
The Rector of the Pyongyang Teachers Training College in the capital city is also a woman.
Like all other people on this land, Rector Pak Kum Hui finished the primary and middle school courses and graduated from Kim Il Sung University under the benefits of the free education system and became a teacher. Afterwards, she was awarded the professorship and doctorate and was promoted from the head of a department to the rector of the college.
In order to do her duty as an educator responsible for the future of the country she has worked hard with tireless passion and high ability and thus turned the college into a model.
In January Juche 107(2018), the respected supreme leader Kim Jong Un visited the Pyongyang Teachers Training College and highly praised Rector Pak Kum Hui and other educators of the college. She was elected a deputy to the 14th Supreme People's Assembly.
Choe Ok Ae living in Munsin-dong No. 1, Tongdaewon District, Pyongyang City, has also led a proud life.
She was born into a peasant family as the 7th of the 10 sons and daughters. She has worked as a designer for 35 years in order to repay the grateful state that enabled her to study at university free of charge. Seeing the structures built in many places of the capital, she would find her pleasure and pride of life.
Though she was busy as designer, she paid attention to education of her children. She taught her children to have sincere and responsible working spirit, strong sense of justice, warm humanity and genuine love and devotion for the country and people.
She became a model of her children.
Her daughter teaching at Pyongyang Middle School No. 1 is respected by her students. Her eldest son is a designer and her second son is a company commander of the Korean People's Army and both of them became Labour Heroes.
