The
Sci-Tech
Complex
was newly built on Ssuk
Islet in the Taedong River that flows down to the heart of Pyongyang,
the capital of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.
It
is a comprehensive e-library in the shape of a large atomic structure
symbolic of the world of science.
Its
total floor
space
is over 106 600 m2.
The
Sci-Tech Complex was inaugurated in New Year’s Day Juche 105
(2016).
Supreme

Jong Un
participated in the
inauguration
of
the Sci-Tech Complex
and cut the tape
in person,
after finishing his New Year Address,
Respected
Marshal Kim
Jong Un
said
that it was the immense edifice for
studying
all people and the advanced
science
and technology
diffusion
centre
and we opened the first gate of New Year when the 7th
Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea would
be
held
with
science,
going
round the inside of the complex.
The
inauguration of the Sci-Tech Complex shows that how great the WPK
has been attaching
importance to scientific
front as it is.
He
said
in the New
Year Address that our Party was steadfast in its determination and
will to solidify the foundations of a thriving country by dint of
science and technology and, with them as the engine, achieve national
prosperity.
He
continued that not only the scientific research sector but also all
the working people were ensured to learn modern science and
technology and it was necessary to establish a social climate of
resolving the problems arising in reality on the strength of science
and technology.
Today
Korean people are full of enthusiasm to achieve the great successes
in building the scientific and technological power and talented
nation in 2016 when the
WPK’s 7th
Congress is to be held.
