SEASONED LEADER OF THE CENTURY -special article by JISGE, ASSPUK and UK KFA

The great leader generalissimo KIM IL SUNG passed away suddenly on the 8th of July 1994 some 20 years ago . Although 20 years have passed since then and all kinds of events and incidents have occurred in the world the memory of the great leader Generalissimo KIM IL SUNG is alive in the hearts and minds of the Korean people as well the Juche Idea and Songun idea followers of the

world and also the world progressive people. Indeed the Juche Idea and Songun Idea burn ever brightly in Korea . The bright rays of the Juche Idea radiate to the four corners of the earth from the Juche Idea Tower on the banks of the River Taedong.

As the dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN wrote

"Kim Il Sung was a pre-eminent and seasoned leader of the revolution, who wrote a new chapter of modern history and added brilliance to it by leading our revolution along the ever-victorious road under the banner of independence."

                                    This is indeed very true and sums up the great achievements and revolutionary activities of the great leader comrade KIM IL SUNG.

                                       The great leader comrade KIM IL SUNG worked all his life for independence and socialism . He fought for independence from Japanese imperialism and fought against US imperialism in the 1950s. The great leader comrade KIM IL SUNG resisted the attempts of the big power chauvinists to subordinate and dominate People's Korea. Juche became a byword for independence all over the world.
  The great leader President KIM IL SUNG worked well beyond retiring age and even worked his birthday and public holidays.  A delegation of the Juche Idea Study Group of England was in Korea in June 1994 just before the great leader comrade KIM IL SUNG passed away . We saw him on the television giving guidance to the Taesong co-operative farm and also meeting important figures from other countries such as Ludo Martens leader of the Workers' Party of Belgium. We remember the majestic tune of “Long Live Marshal Kim Il Sung “ being playedwhen the great leader comrade KIM IL SUNG's meetings with foreign figures was shown on TV. One of the last actions of the great leader comrade KIM IL SUNG was to sign documents on the economy ,living standards and national reunification.

                 During the course of his life the great leader comrade KIM IL SUNG who was  a profound internationalist as well as a great Korean patriot met many important figures and leaders such as Che Guevara, Fidel Castro, Stalin , Mao Zedong, Zhou En Lai, Ho Chi Minh,Enver Hoxha , Ceauseacu and Tito . Mao Zedong the leader of the People's Republic of China said

About world revolution no one can lead it, except for Kim Il Sung. My sincere request to you, Comrade Kim Il-sung is to continue and now lead the cause of world revolution and the international Communist movement. “

The above quotation shows the deep respect that the great leader comrade

KIM IL SUNG had as the elder and veteran of the international communist movement and teacher of the world revolution.

The great leader comrade KIM IL SUNG was indeed a man for all seasons and a man of the people who met people from all walks of life. He met state leaders and high up dignitaries sometimes meeting people with views very much opposed to his own or former enemies butwas at ease with them. He was at ease both heads of state and ordinary workers, collective farmers ,shop-workers and soldiers.

The greatest legacy bequeathed by the great leader comrade KIM IL SUNG is the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea itself , the state that was founded by him . The DPRK defies all attempts to stifle it and stands as a solid as a rock .Today the DPRK is advancing towards the goal of a thriving socialist country , a socialist paradise under the leadership of dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN the successor to the revolutionary cause of Juche and Songun.
