Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un Inspects Destroyer Choe Hyon

Pyongyang, March 5 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, inspected the Destroyer Choe Hyon on March 3 and 4 to observe its crew members' combat and political training and the shakedown for assessing its operational executive capability.

Accompanying him were Jo Chun Ryong, secretary of the WPK Central Committee, Kim Jong Sik, first vice department director of the WPK Central Committee, Senior Vice Admiral Pak Kwang Sop, commander of the Navy of the Korean People's Army, and officials in the warship-building sector.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un was greeted by the leading officials of the Nampho Shipyard on the spot on March 3.

He mounted the Destroyer Choe Hyon to inspect the situation of the sailors' operation of the destroyer and the process of the shakedown for assessing the destroyer's performance and operational executive capabilities.

He praised the sailors of the destroyer for having achieved successes in the new year combat and political drill for perfectly acquiring the military and technological qualifications, the level of which was set by the Party Central Committee for the operation of the new-type destroyer.

On the destroyer he acquainted himself with the sailors' preparedness for controlling warship and handling various weapon systems.

A shakedown cruise took place in his presence that day to estimate the maneuverability of the destroyer.

The crew members of the destroyer were filled with high confidence of carrying out the shakedown under his supervision.

Kim Jong Un highly appreciated that the maneuverability of the warship meets the requirements of operational performance and the warship control system is excellent.

Expressing satisfaction over the smooth tests of all systems of the destroyer for its commissioning for operations, he said:

"The tests of operational efficiency of the new-type destroyer, a new symbol of sea defence capability of our state, are going on smoothly as planned.

This is an appraisal, from another point of view, of the advantages of the design of the vessel.

Every year during the new five-year plan period we must build two surface warships of this class or of a higher class, and correctly implement the gigantic plan of increasing the fighting strength of surface warships.

Ensuring the concentrated and sustained character of the capability of the national defence economy is a major guarantee for the implementation of this plan.

We have sufficient potentials, i.e., powerful researchers group and shipbuilding industry.

Our Navy's forces for attacking from under and above water will grow rapidly.

The arming of the Navy with nuclear weapons is making satisfactory progress.

All these successes constitute a radical change in defending our maritime sovereignty, something that we have not achieved for half a century.

Our Navy will have a powerful offensive capability, which is, in effect, a capability for defending ourselves.

If any forces are apprehensive about our efforts to build up our defence capabilities, this means that they are precisely our enemy.

I will have a strongest navy built.

As I have stressed before, I am sure that the course of implementing the national defence development plan for the coming five years will be a course of transforming once again the structure of our armed forces; we will build reliable defence capability.

We will guarantee the defence of national sovereignty, not in spoken or written words, but through capability for real actions and through practice."

Reiterating the goals to be attained by the warship-building industry in the period for implementing the five-year plan, he specified the state-sponsored measures to be taken to modernize the Navy and a series of tasks such as intensified cooperation between the Second Economy Commission and the national defence scientific research group.

He oversaw a sea-to-surface strategic cruise missile test launch conducted on the warship on March 4.

He said that the test was an important core element in estimating the operational capabilities of the warship.

The test launch was successfully carried out.

He expressed great satisfaction at the sailors' very good readiness for a strategic attack.

He said that such a demonstration of great power is not only a clear expression of the will to defend the national sovereignty based on firm self-confidence but also a responsible exercise of its war deterrent.

That day he inspected the third Choe Hyon-class destroyer under construction at the shipyard.

He highly praised and encouraged the workers of the shipyard, renowned for its tradition and might of self-reliance as a reliable large-scale warship-building base of the country, and the technicians and officials in the warship-building sector, who are striving with high morale to successfully build another Choe Hyon-class destroyer until the birthday of the WPK this year, when its historic Congress was held, by further enhancing the spirit they displayed in making a breakthrough in implementing the historic cause of rapidly turning the country into a maritime power of the 21st century through the building of the first new-generation multi-purpose destroyer.

Saying that the officials and workers in the warship-building sector should faithfully uphold the Party's line of building a military power with the completion of powerful new-type warships, he called for making strenuous progress of uninterrupted innovations and consecutive leaps forward to accelerate the dramatic transformation of the Navy.

His inspection of the destroyer and the shipyard served as a significant occasion for signaling that the strategic plan of the Party Central Committee, aimed at gradual and qualitative strengthening of the naval forces that will shoulder the crucial mission in carrying out the national defense strategy and exercising the war deterrent, has begun demonstrating its might through actual development. -0-

Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un Oversees Shooting Contest of KPA Snipers

Pyongyang, March 5 (KCNA) -- A shooting contest of snipers from Korean People's Army units at all levels took place at the Pyongyang Training Base No. 60 under the Capital City Defence Corps on March 3 to mark the Sniper's Day of the KPA.

Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, oversaw the contest.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un was accompanied by Jo Yong Won, Kim Jae Ryong and Ri Il Hwan, members of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the C.C., WPK, and other major leading cadres.

He was greeted on the spot by commanding officers of the Ministry of National Defence and military and political commanding officers of the KPA large combined units.

The contest was aimed at steadily improving the marksmanship of snipers whose role is more highly valued in modern battlefields.

It was attended by snipers selected from the special operations units of different services of the KPA and its large combined units at all levels.

In the contest, the special operations brigade of the Air Force came first, the 4th Corps second and the 1st Corps third.

It was followed by demonstration shootings by snipers of the Company of Snipers under the Operations Bureau of the General Staff. Then combatants of the special operations units gave a demonstration of their might.

Saying that the combat capability and role of snipers are more highly valued in the composition of our armed forces, Kim Jong Un noted that it is an essential requirement for implementing the Party's line of building a powerful army and modernizing it to bring about a rapid and qualitative change in enhancing the combat capability of snipers in conformity with the developing aspects and trend of modern warfare.

He said that it is very important to frequently organize drills under the simulated conditions of an actual war and shooting contests which will give rise to the spirit of emulation among the units in order to train all the snipers of the KPA units at all levels into crack shots capable of dealing a fatal blow to the enemy in any weather and seasonal conditions and day and night.

Noting that the crack-shot marksmanship should be a symbol and feature of the matchless combat capability of the Korean People's Army, he gave important guidelines for training a-match-for-a-hundred all-round snipers well-versed in the Juche-oriented marksmanship. -0-

 

Decision of Standing Committee of DPRK SPA

Pyongyang, March 4 (KCNA) -- A central election committee was organized for the election of deputies to the 15th Supreme People's Assembly of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

According to a decision of the SPA Standing Committee issued on March 3, the central election committee was formed with Kim Hyong Sik as its chairman, Jon Kyong Chol as vice-chairman, Ko Kil Son as secretary general, and Jang Chang Hyok, Han Yong Guk, Pang Tu Sop, Kim Kum Chol, Ri Myong Guk, Mun Chol, Han Jong Hyok, Jon Hyang Sun, Pak Hui Chol and Jon Song Min as members. -0-

Decision of SPA Standing Committee of DPRK

Pyongyang, March 4 (KCNA) -- The Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea announced its decision on holding the election of deputies to the SPA of the DPRK.

The British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea (BGSJI) and the Korean Friendship Association of the UK ( KFA UK) issued the following joint statement on the occasion of International Working Women's Day on the 8th of March ;
                                                                     

On the 8th of March it will be International Working Women's Day. The 8th of March, International Women's Day is celebrated throughout the globe, however, it only has real meaning in Juche Korea led by dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN. In Juche Korea, women enjoy real equality. On the 30th of July 1946, the Law on Sexual Equality was passed and  Article 77 of the DPRK Socialist Constitution states ". Women are accorded equal social status and rights with men. The State shall afford special protection to mothers and children by providing maternity leave, reduced working hours for mothers with several children, a wide network of maternity hospitals, creches and kindergartens, and other measures. The State shall provide all conditions for women to play their full roles in society." More legalisation guaranteeing women's rights was passed later on.
  The great leader President KIM IL SUNG defined women as one of the two wheels of the revolutionary chariot, without them there can be no revolution.
  In Juche Korea, prostitution was abolished in 1946,. There is no pornography, no sex industry nor
Western style 'sexual culture' that degrades women.
  People's Korea is a model of true Juche-orientated women's liberation!

   The British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea  (BGSJI),  and the  Korean Friendship Association of the UK(KFA UK ) issued the following joint statement hailing the successful holding of the 9th Congress of the Workers Party of Korea ;

                                           

The Workers Party of Korea (WPK) , the supreme general staff of the Korean revolution , held its 9th Congress from the 19th of February to the 25th of February  .The Congress was attended by 5,000 delegates and 2,000 observers making it a very large scale political event . The Congress re-elected respected comrade KIM JONG UN as General Secretary of the WPK and elected a new Central leadership which included comrade Kim Yo Jong .

The 9th Congress reviewed the achievements of the past five years since the 8th Congress of the WPK in January 2021. Under the difficult conditions of intense sanctions by the imperialists , the global health crisis and repeated natural disasters as well as an increasingly unstable international situation , the DPRK made significant achievements such as the building of 50,000  new homes in Pyongyang and 110,000 news homes in the rural areas . The 20 x10 Regional Development policy has been rolled out .  Additionally many health , cultural and leisure facilities have been created  Self-reliance has been increased on a scientific and planned basis.

As pointed out by the Korean Central News Agency " The expanded policies for the people clearly show the advantages of the socialist system in our country, which attaches importance to the popular and people-oriented ones, and prove the truth and vitality of our Party's people-first politics."

Great success was made in the work of enhancing the national defence capacity of the DPRK including the integration of the state nuclear policy of the DPRK into the Constitution of the DPRK meaning that the DPRK;s nuclear status is completely irreversible which is a powerful deterrent to war and which safeguards the independence of the DPRK and the socialist system . As stated in the report of the Congress "The DPRK's nuclear force is now fulfilling its mission of physically and strongly deterring any war of aggression in a responsible manner.".

The past five years have also seen the expansion of the DPRK's international relations with many successes been registered in that field.

Looking forward to the next five years respected comrade KIM JONG UN called for the Party to " to consistently adhere to the principle of resolving all problems by dint of ideology and the spiritual strength of the masses and wage a more vigorous struggle against all sorts of negative phenomena going against the people-first principle."

Thus the WPK will adhere to its tried and tested line of prioritising ideological work as well as struggling against anything that goes against the people-first principle . Indeed in his concluding speech respected comrade KIM JONG UN strongly emphasised the line of the three revolutions -ideological , cultural and technical -saying that  "These three revolutions are our Party’s general line in building socialism." . The three revolutions including the ideological revolution will be stepped up during the forthcoming period.

The DPRK's nuclear force will also be strengthened during the coming five year period .At the same time the conventional forces of the DPRK will be strengthened.

The 9th Congress also discussed the international situation . Respected comrade KIM JONG UN noted that " The world realizes though belatedly that as long as imperialism exists, international law and order are nothing but meaningless empty commitments and that the just advocacy of law and order alone can defend nothing.

It is the truth proved by the present world and the law-governed principle in the international arena dominated by the gangster-like logic of jungle law that strength respects strength and to arm oneself with such powerful force as nuclear weapons is the only means capable of putting an end to the imperialist ambition for aggression."

Moreover  comrade KIM JONG UN said that "Whether it is peaceful coexistence or eternal confrontation, we are prepared for everything, and that choice is not made by us.

We have long prepared ourselves to deal with the hostile entity, the U.S., and will, in the future, too, more courageously and intensively carry out what we have done so far to better prepare for all forms of challenges that can be inferred."

It was reaffirmed that the ROK is the no 1 hostile state . Comrade KIM JONG UN pointed out that "The possibility of the ROK's complete collapse in the extension of the action cannot be ruled out."

To conclude the 9th Congress of the Workers Party of Korea laid down a militant and dynamic fighting programme which will led the DPRK into the next decade and to greater victories in the Juche revolution

  In 2019 the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, riding a white horse, looked round the revolutionary battle sites in the area of Mt. Paektu.

  A wonderful scenery was in front of the marchers going round the revolutionary battle sites in his presence.

  Really spectacular was the Rimyongsu Falls coming down without freezing despite the biting cold in which even a birch breaks.

  The officials didn't know how to express their feelings before the falls coming down while sending up spray ceaselessly, lecturer Kim Yong Sil at the Korean Revolution Museum said and continued:

  "The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said to the accompanying officials that the Rimyongsu Falls which does not freeze even in the intense cold represents the spirit of our intrepid people advancing without yielding to the raging wind of sanctions and suffocation.

  Looking at the natural phenomenon unchanged all the time, all the officials were just thinking that it was only a wonderful scenery but he pictured the people to himself before a phenomenon of nature."

  Kim Jong Un thought of the spirit and will of the Korean people who are most righteous and resolute in the world through the Rimyongsu Falls.

  On January 27, 2026, the Missile Administration of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea conducted a test-fire to verify the effectiveness of a large-caliber multiple rocket launcher system upgraded with new technology.

  The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un oversaw the test-fire.

 

  Expressing satisfaction over the result of the test, he said:

  "Today's test is of great significance in improving the effectiveness of our strategic deterrent.

  The self-steered precisely guided flight system, which can neglect any outside intervention, is a major feature that demonstrates the superiority of this weapon system.

  As I have always emphasized, the relevant activities we conduct are clearly aimed at none other than further raising the level of our deterrent against a nuclear war."

  This is an indispensable measure for self-defence of the DPRK today.

  The National Conference of Subworkteam Leaders in the Agricultural Sector, the first of its kind in history, was held in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in February 2014.

  Always concerned about the agricultural development of the country, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un took measures to hold the National Conference of Subworkteam Leaders in the Agricultural Sector and sent a historic letter to its participants during the conference. And he had a photo session with the subworkteam leaders on February 9 after the successful conference.

  That evening Kim Jong Un called a senior official of the then Air Koryo Administration and gave him a task to organize a flight for sending delegates of Ryanggang Province to the conference the next day, saying:

  The participants in the conference are returning home from today. It snowed a lot in the east coastal area. If the delegates from Ryanggang Province travel by train, it will take several days. I am worried at the thought that they will have a hard time for days on the way home. So I am going to send them by air.

  And he informed the official of the number of the delegates and selected the type of plane to carry them.

  Official Kim Hyok Chol at the Agricultural Commission said the delegates to the National Conference of Subworkteam Leaders in the Agricultural Sector still remember what happened at that time, and continued:

  "The delegates of Ryanggang Province were to return home by air. The officials who saw them off and the people who received them were all greatly impressed.

  Later, I heard that the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said nothing should be spared for the farmers in charge of the grain production of the country and they deserve to travel by car decorated with flowers, not by plane. And he gave instructions on several occasions concerning the departure of the plane for the farmers.

  Towards midnight, he stressed the need to organize and command the flight in a responsible manner so that the delegates could travel safely. Early the next morning, he called an official and told him to check the weather conditions again before the departure of the plane.

  Indeed, all the agricultural workers were moved to tears by the sincerity Kim Jong Un showed to the ordinary farmer-delegates from the northern part of the country."

 

Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un Pays Congratulatory Visit to Sangwon Cement Complex

Pyongyang, March 2 (KCNA) -- The historic Ninth Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea unfolded a grand plan to further expand the construction work for the comprehensive development of the state and the promotion of the welfare of the people throughout the country during the new long-term plan and ardently appealed to all the relevant units, including building-materials production bases, to bring about a surge in production, surpassing the one of the past five years.

The Sangwon Cement Complex, which has faithfully repaid the Party's trust with the proud increased cement production decades after decades, is seething with the revolutionary enthusiasm and will to fulfill its honorable mission and vanguard role in the grand struggle for glorifying the ninth term of the Party Central Committee with steady advance and leap forward.

Kim Jong Un visited the central control room to learn about the cement production.

Praising the complex for registering high production results every month this year, the first year of carrying out the new five-year plan, he said that he still remembers the plenary meeting in December 2024 when the complex pledged before the Party to solve the most pending cement problem through increased production. It is a great encouragement to the Party and the state and their pride to have such warm and sincere patriotic loyalists who are ready to understand the Party's distress and the country's conditions before anyone else and devote themselves to their solution, a large contingent of ardent revolutionaries who regard the Party's plan as just rated capacity and unconditionally translate the Party's determination into reality, he added.
