Pyongyang, April 29 (KCNA) -- Shortly ago, the U.S. and the south
Korean puppet regime concluded their negotiations on amending the
"atomic energy agreement" which have been under way since 2010 and
initialed the proposal for its amendment.
The amendment will help the puppet regime more frantically step up
the moves for developing nukes while ever more undisguisedly
reprocessing spent nuclear fuel and enriching uranium which have been
done so far in secrecy with the backing of the U.S.
The Secretariat of the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of
Korea (CPRK) in its bulletin No. 1092 Wednesday terms this a dangerous
criminal move which will escalate tension on the Korean peninsula and
spark off nuclear proliferation and nuclear arms race in Northeast Asia.
It goes on:
The U.S. had already concluded the deceptive "atomic energy
agreement" with the south Korean regime in the 1950s. Since then it has
connived at and patronized the latter's nuclear development under the
signboard of "controlling nukes."
Under the "south Korea-U.S. sci-tech agreement", the U.S. has
systematically transferred the technologies applicable to the
development of nuclear weapons to the puppet regime and has now gone the
lengths of enabling it to enrich uranium, reprocess and recycle spent
nuclear fuel.
Consequently, the U.S. has fully revealed its true colors as the
chief culprit of nuclear proliferation after throwing off the mask it
has worn for years to systematically transfer sensitive technologies,
manpower and equipment necessary for nuclear development to the puppet
regime behind the scene.
It is shameless, indeed, for the U.S. to take issue with someone's nukes and express "concern over nuclear proliferation".
The U.S. and the south Korean puppet regime has now neither
justification nor excuse to pull up the DPRK over its nukes nor can they
evade their responsibility as the chief culprits of nuclear
proliferation and nuclear arms race.
The DPRK will further bolster up its self-defensive nuclear
deterrent for defending the dignity of the nation, its sovereignty and
global peace and security to cope with the reckless nuclear hysteria of
the U.S. and the puppet regime. -0-
