President KIM IL SUNG – The greatest leader of all time

The communist movement had many great leaders. It´s great founders, Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels developed socialism from a utopic idea into a science. The great Lenin analysed capitalism in it´s early imperialist period, further developed scientific socialism and created the great soviet union, liberating the peoples of Russia from Tsarist  tyranny. Comrade Ernst Thälman, who was murdered by the German fascist, because he wouldn´t give up his communist ideals. All this people gave all their live for peace and the well-being of the people. 

But the greatest of all this revolutionaries is the great leader President KIM IL SUNG. During his youth Korea was a colony of the brutal Japanese imperialists. President KIM IL SUNG knew that:

„The Korean nation is facing a question of life or death today—it either perishes for ever under the colonial yoke of the Japanese imperialists or rises up in a fight to survive. If it merely laments over its ruined land and tolerates the unheard-of Japanese tyranny, our nation will fall never to rise again, but if the whole nation rises up and fights defying death, it will greet the dawn of liberation.“

 When he became leader of the anti- Japanese revolutionary movement in Korea. The movement was in a great crises. President KIM IL SUNG described it as followed:

„After the Korean Communist Party was dissolved in 1928, most of the factionalists—the self-styled “leaders” of the Korean revolution—gave up the revolutionary movement and turned philistines for their own comfort. On the other hand, some factionalists prompted by political ambitions and a desire for higher positions drove the people into a reckless uprising only to shed blood in vain. A typical example is the recent May 30 Uprising in east Manchuria. Without correctly analysing and assessing the revolutionary situation, the factionalists forced the peasants to join the reckless uprising. And so the barehanded rebels were brutally mown down by the bayonets of the Japanese imperialist army and police and the reactionary warlords, with the result that the revolutionary forces suffered tremendous losses and the revolution faced overwhelming difficulties. The uprising exposed and destroyed many revolutionary organizations, the revolutionary spirit of the anti-Japanese masses was lowered, and we had to experience bitter trials in our revolutionary struggle“ 

He further said about the self proclaimed leaders of the Korean revolution:

„Those who professed themselves to “guide” our people’s anti-Japanese national-liberation movement were divorced from the masses; they gathered together a few high-ranking officials solely to indulge in empty talk and quarrel, instead of mobilizing the masses of people for the revolutionary movement.“

President KIM IL SUNG not only analysed the mistakes of the previous „leaders“ of the revolution. He showed his comrades the true path to liberation by creating the great Juche-idea:

„Experience shows that in order to lead the revolution to victory, one must go among the masses of people and organize them, and solve all problems arising in the course of the revolution independently on one’s own responsibility in accord with the actual conditions, instead of relying on others.

Drawing on this lesson we regard it as most important to take the firm standpoint that the masters of the Korean revolution are the Korean people and that the Korean revolution should by all means be carried out by the Korean people themselves in a way suited to the actual conditions of their country.

Only when we adopt this standpoint towards the revolution can we map out a correct line and policy and achieve the sacred cause of national liberation.“

By mobilizing the masses and solving all problems according to the own conditions President KIM IL SUNG liberated Korea and created the Democratic People´s Republic o Korea (DPRK) in the northern half of the Korean peninsula, while in the southern part the American occupiers created the puppet state „Republic of Korea“ (ROK). Under President KIM IL SUNGS leadership the DPRK became a strong and prosperous state. He abolished taxation and established free housing, free universal healthcare, free education and the right to work. All his life he offered his hand to his brothers and sisters in the south for reunification, but the south Korean puppet rulers sabotaged the talks and made reunification impossible. He always opposed the split of the communist movment and called for the unity of the socialist states. 

His work got continued by his successors. Comrade KIM JONG IL developed a nuclear program, making the DPRK into a nuclear power of Juche and guaranting the independence of the DPRK. Today Marshal KIM JONG UN developed the DPRK into an ICBM-power, further strengthening it´s independence. With the new 20X10-policy he is strengthening the industrial basis of socialism in rural areas and brings culture and healthcare to the people in rural areas.

Comrades,

It is an honour for me to speak to you today as we celebrate the 113th anniversary of the great leader and president Kim Il Sung, whose intelligence, wisdom, creativity and love for his people led to the Korean people's victory. These attributes, combined with his indomitable will and courage, led him to unite and organise the advanced anti-imperialist workers and peasants to kick out imperialism and build socialism of a new type.

As a necessary part of winning the struggle against imperialism, comrade Kim Il Sung had to develop the field of Marxism and scientific socialism to adapt to the unique circumstances in Korea and the historical state of world socialism, including great successes but also failures, often related to ideology and revisionism. The result was the birth of the Juche philosophy and the foundations of Songun philosophy, which his successor, generalissimo Kim Jong Il, fully developed. His great work laid the path that the great leaders Kim Jong Il and Kim Jong Un have followed and extended to lead the Korean nation to an incredible state of technological and cultural development despite the never-ending attack by US imperialism.

The Juche philosophy that Kim Il Sung developed, building on top of previous socialist ideology and historical struggles, opened a new era in socialist ideology and development. It taught us the importance of belief and confidence in the unbounded creativity and capabilities of our own people and our own nation. It taught us the incredible role of spirit and ideology in the final result of any struggle between socialism and imperialism. It taught us that man is the centre of everything and that self-reliance, independence and dignity are undeniable consequences of that fact, leading to a national commitment to these principles. Juche built on previous socialist development but was a fundamentally original contribution. Its focus on independence and creativity highlighted the importance of rejecting dogma and flunkeyism, aspects that were critical in the victory of Korean socialism over imperialism, as we saw recently in the great film 72 hours.

On this day, while celebrating comrade Kim Il Sung's life, we can recognise that the Juche philosophy of self-reliance, independence and sovereignty has never been more critical. In Britain, our dependence on foreign sources of energy and goods leaves us incredibly vulnerable to insecurity due to fluctuations in price and availability. The ruling bourgeoisie has destroyed our industry, making us entirely dependent on others, like children.

This process has hurt not just our material security. It has hurt our spirit and psychology, surrounding us with pessimism. We must study Juche and help the workers of our nation understand we have everything on this island and within ourselves to survive and thrive, that we must trust in our creativity and capabilities and that we must rebuild our industries and our communities and collectively regain mastery of our destiny on this land. 

I pay my respects to the towering achievements of great leader Kim Il Sung and express my gratitude for what he gave the world proletarian movement for socialism; for independence, sovereignty and an end to exploitation. He has passed, but he remains a great inspiration to all who study his work. May we work hard to spread the great knowledge he left us and emancipate ourselves from slavery under imperialism.

Report of Online Meeting for the 113th Anniversary of the birth of President KIM IL SUNG and the 93rd anniversary of the foundation of the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army.

 

The Korean Friendship Association of the UK together with the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea held a successful online meeting to honour the 113th anniversary of the birth of the great leader President KIM IL SUNG and the 93rd anniversary of the foundation of the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army (the forerunner of today’s Korean People’s Army ) on the 12th of April at 1500 hours BST via Skype . 

Participating were members and officials of the Korean Friendship Association UK (KFA UK ) and British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea from London , Staffordshire and Scotland plus international guests from KFA Andalusia (Spain),KFA Canada , KFA Bulgaria , KFA Greece , the People’s Korea Initiative of Poland , Netherlands and the USA .

A message of greetings from comrade Alan Bolon , KFA UK Organisation Secretary and head of KFA UK West of England was given .

Dr Dermot Hudson Chairman of KFA UK and Chairman of the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea  made a keynote address on the subject of President KIM IL SUNG and the Juche Idea and said in part “ 

People’s Korea is indeed a land of miracles . In today’s meeting we will focus on what is behind these miracles ; the founder of People’s Korea ,President KIM IL SUNG and the Juche idea . The Juche Idea is the guiding ideology of the DPRK which has given birth to real and tangible achievements , it is not an abstraction.

 President KIM IL SUNG was born on the 15th of April 1912 . His achievements are many and varied . It is a simple fact that without President KIM IL SUNG today Korean people would not be speaking Korean but would be speaking Japanese .

 Undoubtedly , one of his greatest achievements was the creation of the Juche Idea .”

The Chairman of Staffordshire KFA UK and secretary General of the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea said in his presentation that President KIM IL SUNG created the Juche idea based on the ideas of Chiwon (“Aim High “)  and Marxism -Leninism . The Juche idea is not an abstraction but fully reflected the demands of the popular masses . President KIM IL SUNG rejected dogmatism as well as factionalism.

Dr Hudson read out the contribution of KFA Germany which said in part “the greatest of all these revolutionaries is the great leader President KIM IL SUNG. During his youth Korea was a colony of the brutal Japanese imperialists”

The representative of KFA Canada gave a speech praising the exploits of President KIM IL SUNG.

The general secretary of KFA Greece brought the greetings of KFA Greece to the meeting and praised the DPRK’s self-reliance and the correctness of the Juche Idea advocated by President KIM IL SUNG.

The representative of KFA Andalusia (Spain) pointed out that the 13th of April is the 33rd anniversary of the award of the title of Generalissimo to President KIM IL SUNG . She praised the exploits of President KIM IL SUNG for his work in building socialism.

A Myanmarese progressive in the USA praised the DPRK and President KIM IL SUNG for maintaining revolutionary principles.

Dr Dermot Hudson made a short speech on the 93rd anniversary of the foundation of the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army the forerunner of today’s Korean People’s Army explaining that “ The Korean People’s Army(KPA) origins go back to the 25th of April 1932 rather than simply the 8th of February 1948 when the KPA was founded as a regular revolutionary armed force . In fact the KPA was founded as the Anti-Japanese People’s Guerrilla Army , which later became the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army(KPRA ) in March 1934  , on the 25th of April by the great leader President KIM IL SUNG in Antu, Manchuria where many Koreans had been exiled to because of the harshness and barbarity of Japanese imperialist colonial rule in Korea”.

A Country Where People Are Masters

  The great leader Kim Il Sung is the saviour of the nation and father of socialist Korea who built a genuine people's country on this land.

  He set out on the road of revolution in his teens to win back the country occupied by the Japanese imperialists.

  Having deeply seen through the demand of the independent era in the initial period of his revolutionary struggle, he elucidated the new truth that the masters of revolution are the masses of the people and the revolution should be carried out independently and creatively by believing in their strength and relying on them and created the immortal Juche idea.

  The Juche idea is, in a word, an idea that one is the master of one's own destiny and has the strength to shape one's destiny. In other words, it is an idea that the masses of the people are the masters of the revolution and construction and they have the strength to promote them.

  By authoring the Juche idea, Kim Il Sung opened a new path of the revolution on which the masses of the people hew out their destinies independently and creatively as masters of their own destinies.

  He led the 20-year-long bloody anti-Japanese war to victory and finally accomplished the historic cause of national liberation on August 15, 1945.

He successfully carried out the democratic reforms and laid a foundation for building an independent, sovereign state in a short span of time even in the difficult and complex circumstances after liberation. He founded the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, where the people became masters of the country, on September 9, 1948.

  He carried out the socialist revolution in an original way according to the specific reality of the country and victoriously led the socialist construction at several stages and thus built socialism of Juche which wonderfully embodied the independent demand of the people.

  Socialism of Korean style, the greatest patriotic legacy left by Kim Il Sung, is people-centred socialism that embodied the people-oriented philosophy, the genuine outlook on the people.

  Kim Il Sung provided the Korean people with a genuine life and cradle of happiness and his undying feats will shine for all ages.

  He applied strategies and tactics such as immediate and overall counterattack against the enemy's sudden invasion, consecutive attacks on all fronts and siege warfare to annihilate the enemy group, formation of the second front with regular units behind the enemy lines, mountain and night warfares, active position warfare, assault, sniper group's movement, aircraft-hunting team movement and tank hunters' team movement. They were the wise, peculiar and outstanding strategy and tactics no military strategist in all ages and countries had ever presented.

  So the former President of Portugal, who was the chief of staff of the Portuguese army during the Korean War, said: "At that time the operational plan was made by the United States after several discussions with tens of generals who were chiefs of staff and military experts of Western countries on the side of the United States. But General Kim Il Sung defeated it single-handedly. Witnessing it with my own eyes, I learned that General Kim Il Sung is the only gifted military strategist and great brilliant commander in the world."

Victory of Spiritual Strength

  The decisive factor deciding the fate of war lies not in any weapons or military equipment but in the ideological and spiritual state of man handling them. This was the viewpoint of Kim Il Sung on the war.

  The service personnel of the Korean People's Army went over to an immediate and decisive counterattack from the beginning of the war to turn the tables and give consecutive attacks to the enemy in firm unity around Kim Il Sung with the faith that they can win a sure victory in the war as long as they are led by him.

 

  They devoted their lives to defending even an inch of land without hesitation and the people in the rear turned belt with bare hands to make hand grenades and produced foodgrains in the hail of the enemy's bullets during the war.

  Indeed, the spirit of defending the country and mass heroism displayed by the brave soldiers of the People's Army and people were the secret of the brilliant victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.

  The great leader Kim Il Sung found himself among the people all his life.

  He called at every place of this country for the people and everyone cherishes a vivid memory of him.

  In the last period of his life, he said he had believed in the people, struggled for them and lived among them and that his was the life devoted to the country and nation and the one of struggle waged with the people.

  The people he valued so much were not a group of superhuman beings or some special men.

  They were those who had been deprived of political rights as a ruined nation under the colonial rule of the Japanese imperialists for over 40 years, those working diligently at the factories and farms and the intellectuals contributing to the prosperity of the country with science and technology

  The Korean Revolution Museum in the capital city of Pyongyang displays lots of photographs and historic materials and relics showing the great personality of Kim Il Sung.

  Lots of people visit the museum with ardent yearning for him.

  Merited Lecturer Jang Yong Suk said to the visitors:

  "The great leader Kim Il Sung called at all parts of the country including remote mountain villages, fishing hamlets and farms.

  The Korean people remember the benevolent image of Kim Il Sung who sat on a straw mat without ceremony to discuss farming at a farm, felt a net with fishermen at a fishing hamlet and inspired the colliers to increased production at a coal face.

  In his reminiscences 'With the Century' Kim Il Sung wrote about his view of happiness as follows:

  It gives me particular pleasure or happiness to be among the people, discover amongst them excellent people who can set an example for the whole country and debate state affairs, their living and our future."

  Kim Il Sung led the Korean revolution to victory without any mistake in his lines and without any slightest deviation in his leadership practice for tens of years on the basis of his lifelong creed "Go among the people!".

The destiny of the Korean nation was miserable in the early 20th century.
The Japanese imperialists deprived Korea of her national rights and culture. Korea was a medieval dark land and a large living hell.
Lamenting over the tragedy of the ruined country, Korean people conducted the March 1 Popular Uprising against the Japanese imperialists, waged a volunteers' struggle and petitioned for independence. But they were given only the barbaric suppression of aggressors and the cold treatment of the great powers.
All the fellow countrymen waited eagerly for a great man to save the country and nation from destruction.
Just at the time, the great leader Kim Il Sung was born on April 15, 1912.
In his teens, he embarked on the road of revolution with a great ambition for national liberation and declared a total war on the Japanese imperialists.
In his early years, he found the profound truth that one is the master of one's own destiny and one has the strength to carve out one's destiny. He put forward a line that the armed enemy can be defeated only with arms and led the anti-Japanese war to victory and finally accomplished the historic cause of national liberation.
Korea was liberated from the harsh colonial rule of the Japanese imperialists on August 15, 1945.
On the historic day, the whole country was wrapped in emotion and delight of liberation.
Lecturer Ri Yu Jong at the Korean Revolution Museum said the name of Kim Il Sung was a symbol of liberated Korea and he was called a savior of the nation at that time, and continued:
"A mass rally was held at the Pyongyang Public Playground on October 14, 1945 to welcome the great leader Kim Il Sung returning home in triumph.
Concerning it, the then 'Pyongyang Minbo' wrote under the headline: 'Cheers of 400,000 People Rock the Land of Korea, a Brocade of Nature':
'Pyongyang has a long history of 4,000 years and its population is as large as 400,000 people. But has such a large crowd ever before met in one place?...
...What made this meeting particularly significant historically, and turned it into a storm of emotion, was that General Kim Il Sung, the great patriot of Korea, and the hero whom Pyongyang produced, was present in person there and had extended joyful and enthusiastic greetings and words of encouragement to the masses of people. ...As soon as General Kim Il Sung, whom the Korean people most deeply adore and have been looking forward to meeting, appeared at the meeting, a storm of enthusiastic cheers arose and all the assemblage were deeply moved and shed silent tears of joy.'"
Indeed, Kim Il Sung was a hero of the Korean nation, peerless patriot and liberator of the country who was hailed for the first time in the 5,000-year-long history.

“The DPRK is recognized by the world as a country with independent politics and self-respect. It neither blindly follows nor submits to any great power or external forces in the international fora. It is not afraid of expressing its opinions. It conducts its state building and activities independently. The DPRK’s independent politics had been commenced by President Kim Il Sung, its founding father.”

As the Indonesian Newspaper International Media wrote, independent politics is the symbol of Juche Korea.

Independence is the cornerstone of our Republic. It is an independent power which rose to today’s status by pursuing the independent revolutionary line.

At the dawn of our revolution, President Kim Il Sung clarified the profound truth of Juche that man is the master of his own destiny and has the power to shape it. During the whole course of his revolutionary leadership, he consistently adhered to independent revolutionary line in all fields of politics, the economy, military affairs, culture and external relations.

He stood firm in his independent position in any of complicated situations. Thanks to his outstanding leadership, the Korean people achieved great victories over the two most barbaric and formidable imperialist enemies and brought about epoch-making changes in two stages of social revolution and several phases of socialist construction.

Today, respected Comrade Kim Jong Un is leading the DPRK, which has demonstrated the dignity and prestige to the world as an independent power for 80-odd years.

The international arena is infested with high-handedness and arbitrariness of imperialists and justice and truth are callously disregarded. Nonetheless, our Republic, independently and proudly, expresses its views, thereby resolutely defending national sovereignty and dignity.

In his article “DPRK in Kim Jong Un Era”, a university professor of a foreign country wrote on the realities of our Republic which is setting a great example of building an independent power:

“Independence is being carried on in Kim Jong Un era, too. The outstanding political competency of General Secretary Kim Jong Un is based on his unique reasoning and action and is deeply rooted in independence. It brought about miraculous reality where the DPRK writes a new history of international relations as befits the new times and context. His invariably independent leadership has enhanced the international standing of the DPRK. The world is now looking at the DPRK from a new point of view. This is how I see Korea – the country in Kim Jong Un era which is strong because of independence.”

The DPRK, as the international community commends, will continue to uphold the banner of independence and push ahead with the building of a socialist power in our own way and by our own efforts under the wise leadership of respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.

Once a famous English economist Professor Joan V Robinson of Cambridge University  visited the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea(DPRK) in 1964 .She wrote an article in the famous socialist journal “Monthly Review “ that was titled “The Korean Miracle “ about the DPRK (later the mainstream media appropriated  this term and used it to describe the fake economic growth in the neo-colony of south Korea ) . Describing the DPRK she wrote that “Eleven years ago in Pyongyang there was not one stone standing upon another. (They reckon that one bomb, of a ton  or more, was dropped per head of population.) Now a modern city of a million inhabitants stands on two sides of the wide

 river, with broad tree-lined streets of five-story blocks, public

 buildings, a stadium, theatres (one underground surviving from

 the war) and a super-de luxe hotel. The industrial sector com

prises a number of up-to-date textile mills and a textile machinery plant

. The wide sweep of the river and little tree-clad

 hills preserved as parks provide agreeable vistas. There are some

 laid on. A city without slums.”

 

Indeed the DPRK’s achievements are truly miraculous but what was the driving force behind them ? What was the inspiration for them? The answer is that it was President KIM IL SUNG whose birth anniversary will be celebrated not only in the DPRK but across the world on the 15th of April .

President KIM IL SUNG was born into a humble peasant family during the time of Japanese colonialism but became a brilliant  guerrilla commander and benevolent liberator  who vanquished the Samurais who had stolen the independence of Korea . President KIM IL SUNG led the struggle for independence from an early age, forming the Down with Imperialism Union in 1926 and later the Anti-Japanese People’s Guerilla Army on the 25th of April 1932 .

 After liberation from Japanese imperialist rule President KIM IL SUNG built a new People’s Korea on the ruins of Japanese colonialism in the late 1940s . It was not a copy of another country and not a colony or a dependency of another country but a new state based on the Juche idea that President KIM IL SUNG had authored in the days of the anti-Japanese war . The Juche Idea was not created in a library or someone’s front room but on the battlefields of the anti-Japanese armed struggle.The Juche idea was applied in depth to the building of a new state.

President KIM IL SUNG laid down independent and original  policies based on the Juche idea such as building an independent national economy . In 1947 he said that "For complete national independence and sovereignty and for national prosperity and development, one must build an independent national economy and thus firmly ensure economic independence."

Earlier in 1945 President KIM IL SUNG had laid the foundations for an independent Juche-based munitions industry at Pyongchon , which is now preserved as a revolutionary site which our delegation visited in April 2016.  It was at Pyongchon that the new Juche Korea under the leadership of the great leader President KIM IL SUNG established its independent munitions industry . At first some great power chauvinists in a certain country told Korea that they should not establish its own armed forces nor have its own munitions industry. President KIM IL SUNG also insisted that the DPRK should not simply assemble weapons made by another country but should produce its own weapons . This idea goes right back to the days of the anti-Japanese armed struggle when the Korean guerrillas made the Yongil bomb. It had been hoped that the USSR would supply a hand grenade factory but for whatever reason this did not materialise. Thus President KIM IL SUNG was firmly convinced of the need for both an independent munitions industry and an independent national economy.

Self-sufficiency in the economy and self-reliance are twin pillars of Juche Korea.

 In the late 1950 when the DPRK was just recovering from the severe destruction caused by the US imperialists during the Fatherland Liberation War the modern revisionists and great power chauvinists tried to put pressure on the DPRK to join the CMEA but it refused to do so maintaining the line of economic independence. The great leader President KIM IL SUNG defined the independent national economy as follows ;

“building an independent national economy means building a diversified economy equipping it with up-to date technology and creating our solid bases of raw materials,thereby building up an all embracing economic system in which every branch is structurally interrelated so as to provide domestically most of the products of heavy and light industry and the agricultural produce needed to make the country wealthy and powerful and to improve the people's living condition"

 The Soviet big-power chauvinists and modern revisionists tried to subordinate the DPRK economy to their own  but President KIM IL SUNG was having none of it ,he  adhered to the line of economic independence . The DPRK did not join CMEA .The big power chauvinists tried to induce the DPRK to join the CMEA by offering electricity from the Lake Baikal power station.

At that time President KIM II SUNG told them: “We will not use electricity generated by the power station; if we become de­pendent on electricity from you and then you fail to supply it, then we would suffer greatly; if we have funds for transmis­sion cables from the power station to our country, it would be more effective for us to use these funds to build another hydroelectric power station in our country. It has become more clear today that our decision to build socialism by our own efforts on the principle of self-reliance and not enter the CMEA was quite correct"

President KIM IL SUNG showed truly super-human energy in guiding the building of Juche-based socialism in People’s Korea .He worked day and night to guide the construction of socialism in the DPRK . He even worked on holidays and at weekends . President KIM IL SUNG visited 20,000 different units in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) travelling more than 578,000 kilometres which is the equivalent of travelling around the globe many times . The number of days of President KIM IL SUNG’s field guidance totalled 8,650 from the period after Korea’s liberation in 1945 to the end of his life in 1994 . This works out at 176 days per year , an incredible figure .

Therefore on April 15 we pay tribute to President KIM IL SUNG, the leader who created miracles in building socialism.

Pyongyang, April 14 (KCNA) -- The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un sent to the General Association of Korean residents in Japan the educational aid fund and stipends amounting to 287.02 million Japanese yen for democratic national education of children of Koreans in Japan on the occasion of the 113th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung.

The educational aid fund and stipends, sent by President Kim Il Sung, Chairman Kim Jong Il and General Secretary Kim Jong Un for the children of Koreans in Japan in 171 occasions so far, amount to 49 988 590 390 yen. -0-

Signboard of "Joint" Is "Disguise" of Belligerent Japan: KCNA Commentary

Pyongyang, April 12 (KCNA) -- The signboard of "joint" is recently emerging as a "term" frequently used in various military acts of Japan.

Shortly ago, Japan and the U.S. agreed on the joint production of the latest air-to-air missile AIM-120, occasioned by the U.S. secretary of Defense's visit to Japan. Such examples are numerous: on-going joint development of the next-generation fighter planes with the U.K. and Italy, joint development of new-type warships with Australia, joint research with the U.S. to put microwave weapons to practical use, joint maintenance and overhauling of U.S. warships and aircraft, etc.

Given the joint military exercises between the forces of different countries including NATO, which Japan is staging not only in the Asia-Pacific region but also in the far-off regions, it is not difficult to understand that the signboard of "joint" put up by Japan covers most of the military moves of the archipelago nation.

This does not merely mean the strengthening of Japan's external military cooperation.

Japan has been bound by various internal and external institutional mechanisms deterring its military expansion as a war criminal state which inflicted huge damage on the Asian people in the last century.

Now all the constraints have become a thing of the past. For example, Japan abolished the principle of banning weapons export it had observed for decades and has come up with the new "three principles of defense equipment transfer".

According to it, the items of export weapons are confined to non-lethal ones as it was done, but international joint development and joint production are exceptions.

As a result, the weapons of attack and destruction, which are against the "exclusive defense," can be developed, produced and sold under the signboard of "joint".

The aim sought by Japan through the trick deceiving the world is not only to earn money but to modernize its munitions industry, which supports its ambition for becoming a military giant, and to bolster up the militaristic state's war capability.

All the joint military actions of Japan are being conducted under this sinister intention.

This will lead to the emergence of an exclusive military alliance, a war bloc integrated in an all-round way, not merely a "single entity" of a dangerous war state keen on reinvasion in the Asia-Pacific region.

Herein lies the essence of the signboard of "joint" frequently put up by Japan.

Japan's trick to revive a war state and an aggressor state by circumventing the international community's vigilance and legal constraints with a plausible justification can no longer work.

Japan should be mindful that any "disguise" can never help it cover up its black-hearted intention and that its signboard of "joint" will only make it a "joint target" of regional countries. -0-

  The season of removal into new houses came into being in the capital city of Pyongyang.

  The whole city seethes with removal into new houses in spring from 2022.

 Songhwa Street and Kyongru-dong, the Pothong Riverside Terraced Residential District, were built in April 2022, Hwasong Street and the Taephyong area dwelling houses in April and May 2023 and Rimhung and Jonwi streets in April and May 2024. 

  The respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un energetically led the work of drawing up the construction plan, giving personal guidance to a huge amount of draft formation plans, in order to turn the Hwasong area into a model in the layout of urban formation elements, a functional prototype of administrative district and a modern urban quarter embodying a harmony of architectural formative and artistic beauty and advanced civilization.

  Researcher Kim Chol Nam at the Academy of Social Sciences said that the Hwasong area, a full-fledged urban administrative district, has turned into a centre and standard capable of leading the areas existing in the capital city to civilization and efflorescence, and continued:

  "On March 15, 2025, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un said Ryomyong, Mirae Scientists and other new streets sprang up year after year, renewing the appearance of the capital city, but there has never been an urban quarter like the Hwasong area which has been erected on a large scale with perfect functionality in a short span of time and this is of great experimental significance in putting the new era of prosperity of Pyongyang on a higher level.

  He added that the precious experience gained in the construction of the Hwasong area, which set an example in the layout of urban formation elements, should be applied to the capital city construction field for accelerating the modernization of our style suited to the political character of our capital city and the world trend of architectural development."

  The third-stage 10,000 flats in the Hwasong area will be inaugurated in a few days.

  When the fourth-stage construction in the Hwasong area that started in February this year is completed, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea will become a country which has perfectly resolved the housing problem of the capital city.

  In general, people believe that the difference in military muscle is decisive of victory and defeat in a war.

  The Korean War in the 1950s, however, denied it and showed that one can always emerge victorious when one has a great spiritual strength.

  Today the aspects of modern warfare evolve incessantly and the advanced military and technical means develop constantly. It brings great changes to operations and combat actions.

  But the Democratic People's Republic of Korea gives priority to preparing its army ideologically and morally at present, too.

  The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the DPRK, visited Kim Il Sung University of Politics on February 24, 2025 and said that the foremost might and superiority our revolutionary armed forces should steadily adhere to and boost are none other than the political, ideological, spiritual and moral superiority of the army of the people.

  He noted that it has been an established theory to count soldiers and weapons as two elements of the armed forces in any century and any country and, from the historical point of view and in consideration of modern warfare, we can clearly see in practice the limitation of the military technology-centred theory ignoring the ideological building of the army.

 Saying that imbuing the army with ideology before arming it with military technology is the core of army building, he expressed his new view that soldiers, weapons and ideology are three elements of the armed forces.

  It is a conclusion he reached definitely once again that the arms devoid of ideology are little short of ironware and the basic way of building a powerful army lies in strengthening the political force of the army on a preferential basis and in a qualitative way.

   The Korean People's Army orients its building toward giving priority to making it strong politically, ideologically and morally and toward steadily training the combat ranks to be elite and then toward developing the military and technical equipment in all domains including the nuclear armed forces at the highest level.

The Greatest Crime of Sacrificing Korea to Aggressive War

  The Japanese imperialists made Korea a colony in the last century. After the outbreak of the Sino-Japanese War in 1937 they resorted to more vicious suppression and plunder against the Korean people.

  With the "Law on National Mobilization" fabricated and promulgated on April 1, 1938, all the economic activities of the country were reorganized according to wartime requirement and a legal guarantee was provided for plundering necessary manpower and materials by high-handed pressure of the ruling organs.

  Lecturer Song Kyong Sim at the Central Class Education House cited detailed materials to expose the vicious and shameless "law" promulgated by the Japanese imperialists.

  "In order to replenish the working force the Japanese imperialists established the labor drafting, conscription and patriotic corps system largely in Korea and plundered Korea of her manpower resources in the way of forcibly emigrating the Korean people to Manchuria and other regions under the pretext of 'settler'.

  And they fabricated and promulgated various evil laws on the basis of the 'Law on National Mobilization' as a main law and used manpower of Korea in their war by force.

  They fabricated and amended evil laws including the 'law on special support of Koreans to the army', the 'personal service drafting law' and the 'women's volunteer corps law' in succession, and forcibly drafted and kidnapped the Korean people for hard labour irrespective of ages and sex.

  A Japanese book wrote that 'as the labour conscription assumed the character of forcible drafting, Koreans continued to escape'. A report submitted to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Japan in July 1944 stipulated the forcible drafting in the Korean territory as 'kidnapping'. A document which recorded a meeting held at the Ministry of Health and Welfare of Japan in August 1942 wrote what was said by high-ranking personages admitting that the forcible drafting of Koreans was abduction. They said: 'Many Koreans were kidnapped on the Korean peninsula mainly for the project related to the military affairs and as they were taken and forced on hard labour, they tried to escape.'

  This proves that the labour conscription was conducted clearly in the way of forcible drafting and kidnapping."

The Japanese imperialists left no stone unturned to get not only human resources but also a great deal of materials for the war in the way of plundering Korea of her valuable resources without restraint.

  They made desperate efforts to plunder Korea of her natural resources by fabricating all sorts of "laws" such as "Korean Bank Law", "Sheep Breeding Plan", "Korean Rice Control Law", "Korean Munitions Production Responsibility System" and "Munitions Company Law".

 Due to the most barbaric and coercive plunder of human and material resources by the Japanese imperialists, many Korean people writhed in agony and a tremendous damage was inflicted on the socio-economic development of Korea.

  The Korean people will never forget the unpardonable immoral acts of the Japanese imperialists, but make them pay for the misfortunes and sufferings of the Korean nation.

In the last century, the Japanese imperialists occupied Korea and expanded the war of aggression to the continent. They turned Korea into their base for war supplies and mobilized all the human and material resources on this land to the aggressive war. In particular, they made every desperate effort to give

colonial slave education to the Korean children and make them cannon fodder for their war.
They frantically infused only the idea of servile submission into the minds of the children by fabricating and enforcing the "Primary School Ordinance" and "Private School Ordinance". They promulgated the "Elementary School Regulations" on March 31, 1941 in order to make the Korean children minions of their aggressive war.
Lecturer Choe Kyong Mi at the Central Class Education House said the evil law consisting of seven chapters and 92 articles is a concretized version of the "Elementary School Ordinance", and continued.
"The Japanese imperialists willfully merged and considerably reduced the existing subjects through the 'Elementary School Regulations'. They also ascribed their contents to infusing militarist spirit and servile obedience into schoolchildren.
And they attached importance to the subject of 'Physical Training' consistent with military drills and saw that 'martial arts' or 'gymnastics' were taught in its lesson.
They included army 'training' as a formal subject at the elementary schools from 1943 when the Pacific War and the Sino-Japanese War got fiercer. After all, all the subjects were militarized.
At that time, the Japanese imperialists gave rifles to the elementary school children and enforced military training such as march-past and shooting and even collective mock cavalry battle exercise every afternoon."
As said above, the Japanese imperialists forced the Korean people to fall victims to their aggressive war from childhood with the promulgation of the "Elementary School Regulations".
The Japanese imperialists can never be pardoned for the capital crimes they committed to make the Korean people their colonial slaves forever.
