As the 25 th of August draws near, the Korean People strongly uphold the Great Leader Generalissimo Comrade Kim Jong Il in their hearts, and so do we, as he honour his activities and legacy today, with this current seminar. I have taken great care and notice of our Comrades’ activities and their way of speaking. I have also taken great care in studying their messages, in order to understand them better and mostly to avoid overlapping my speech with theirs. We already have a great treasury of rich information, either here with us today, or in the form of very well informed and highly spiritually active speeches, so I will try to be as innovative as I can.
Today, I want to talk about how Generalissimo Comrade Kim Jong Il was always close to the people, and in fact, was actually a part, a member of the working mass of the Korean People, very unlike the “leaders’’ of his time, or even our own time. A very simplistic -perhaps- example is his clothing choices. Instead of lavishly decorating himself like monarchs, or dressing himself in extremely expensive suits made by rich bourgeois exploitative corporations, he, during his lifetime, used to wear a parka -a simple semilong jacket- during his field guidance, a parka still remembered by the Korean People.
He visited out of the way mountain villages and far away posts to call on people and soldiers. It was in the 1980’s that he used to wear that parka for the first time. He prepared a new suit for his father, Great Leader Comrade Kim Il Sung, telling him that
“In place of you, I will wear a combat jacket all my life, and work hard for the people, so you should work taking frequent brakes wearing a suit and a tie."
Generalissimo Kim Jong Il, fully realizing his Songun revolutionary leadership, he made an uninterrupted journey of field guidance for the people in the country. The Korean People still remember the kind hearted Kim Jong Il in simple and ordinary parka. He, with his Songun revolutionary leadership, not only saved People’s Korea from the predatory jaws of imperialism during a time socialism was crumbling worldwide, but managed to send it into an upwards spiral of achievements and success, laying the foundation for the DPRK as Great Leader Comrade Kim Jong Un now is tirelessly working on, fully inheriting his father’s spirit and utilizing his own abilities in order to keep improving the Korean People’s lives, always under the red banner of Songun and Juche, as proved recently with the people crying as they bid farewell to the Army personnel that left Pyongyang after successfully working together with the people in order to defeat the COVID-19 endemic, that the western capitalist nations still miserably failed to detain, and have lots of families to answer to, regarding the unacceptable death toll the pandemic left behind.
