Commentary from the Pyongyang Mission of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front of south Korea on the SQUID GAME

Appeared in this drama are hundreds of people including the jobless indulged in gambling, a graduate being deep in debt for sinking other’s money, a man came south over the border, an illegal sojourner and the homeless, etc.

They in a tight corner engage in a mortal fight for winning a purse.

Drama critics comment that it could score a hit by representing the people’s writhing in despair from their lack of money and reality of fierce struggle for existence in capitalist society.

Then why does this drama enjoy popularity?

That’s the reason why this makes a public disclosure of reality of south Korea and capitalist society where the stronger prey upon the weaker with an image of hard struggle for existence.

This shows vividly that hundreds of poverty-stricken people fight a prize at the risk of their lives.

It makes audience feel keenly sorrow for reality of south Korea in which a human is compelled to fight a battle of life and death and humanity is gradually eaten away.

Especially, this shows a millionaire, an organizer of such a cruel game, seeks pleasure in watching that hundreds of people fight desperately against each other according to the rules to spell death for the loser.

It causes a lot of public indignation at the society where violence and tyranny of a power holder are rampant and the rich treats the have-nots as a plaything.

The winners have to recognize themselves standing on heaps of corpses of the losers in discriminatory society of south Korea with a high dropout rate in cut-throat competition, we lament over our cursed lives in the world money rules, it is horror of hell sweeping over the world, the audience express their thoughts after watching this drama.
