The DPRK is the most egalitarian society in the world . When we visited the Ryuwon Footwear factory we asked about the wage differential there and was told it was was 2 to 1 ( in the old USSR it was 10 to 1 , to give a comparison and in Western countries it can be over a 100 to 1) . Workers in the DPRK can study for course in their workplace to get promoted. In the DPRK differences between workers and intellectuals are being being broken down and the state aims to intellectualise everyone .
People also receive virtually free housing , free medical care and free education . The DPRK is truly a people's country.
