Great Man and His Reminiscence

The Reminiscence “With the Century” is the book where President Kim Il Sung reviewed his whole life.

In the reminiscence President Kim Il Sung wrote that he devoted his life for the country and nation and his life was the life gone with the people.

He lived for people very busily and didn’t agree to spend time for him and put off to write the reminiscence.

At that time the famous politicians and the presidents of the state who were fascinated with the noble personality of President Kim Il Sung, the veteran of world politics, request to write his reminiscence.

Of them there was Fidel Castro, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, President of the Council of State and president of the Council of Ministers of Cuba.

In March Juche 75(1986) he visited the DPRK and proposed to write it.

But President Kim Il Sung declined his request and said to write it afterwards.

Fidel Castro was charmed with his noble manner saying in his heart that his reminiscence would be beneficial to many people and it was his obligation for the world to fairly write the historical facts of the last.

President Kim Il Sung expressed his thanks and surely said to write it in the future.

In April Juche 81(1992) passed 6 years since then the Reminiscence of President Kim Il Sung was come out being in the world.

In the reminiscence he wrote that believing in people as in heaven was his motto and his cherished opinion.

He wrote more about the life and struggle exploits of ordinary people and fighters who devoted their life for national liberation than the things about him.

Many politicians and progressive people of the world are admiring for his noble manner, his clear love for the people and comrades reading his reminiscences.

President Kim Il Sung who worked with energy for the country and people to the last day of his life unexpectedly passed away on July 8, Juche 83(1994).

So the reminiscences to Volume 6 were only published.

He clearly accomplished any sort of things for people, but didn’t finish his reminiscence.

But with his precious teachings that he remained leading the Korean revolution and cause for making the world independent his reminiscence would be the textbook teaching not only Korean people but also the progressive people of the world the path ahead of their life and struggle.
