Pyongyang, March 31 (KCNA) -- The DPRK government Thursday released a memorandum titled "The immortal feats, performed by respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un to most strikingly demonstrate the dignity and might of our Republic under the uplifted great banner of simultaneously developing the two fronts, will shine forever."
The memorandum referred to the fact that Kim Jong Un made an epoch-making declaration indicating the way of independence and justice on March 31, 2013.
He laid down a fresh strategic line of simultaneously pushing forward the economic construction and the building of nuclear force at the March 2013 Plenary Meeting of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.
He set the line as a strategic one of the party and the state by carrying forward the exploits of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il who accomplished the great cause of having access to nuclear weapons despite all difficulties. He thus broke the world political structure centered on the existing nuclear powers and fundamentally changed the world political landscape and made the DPRK demonstrate its dignity as the most powerful country which no one dares to provoke.
The fresh line provided the army and people of the DPRK with a firm guarantee for frustrating the U.S. imperialists' wild ambition to annex the northern half of the Republic and reduce all Koreans to modern-day slaves by taking a firmer hold on the nuclear shield for self-defence and reliably protecting their ideology, social system and right to existence.
His presentation of the line marked an event to be specially recorded as it opened a new phase in the development of the revolutionary ideology and theories in the era of independence.
Noting that the line has resulted in creating legendary stories about heroes and bringing about all blessings, the memorandum said:
The respected Supreme Leader has energetically guided an epoch-making great cause of bolstering up the nuclear deterrence of Juche Korea for self-defence in every way, determined to successfully accomplish the great leaders' cause of building a nuclear power.
In order to provide a powerful military guarantee for defending the sovereignty of the country and destiny of the nation and victoriously pushing forward the cause of building a socialist power, he has always made trips to the front despite strong wind to guide various forms of military drills by units of the Korean People's Army under the banner of simultaneously developing the two fronts.
Thanks to his indefatigable efforts and dedication, the DPRK could emerge with dignity a nuclear power in the East and the world's military power.
The past four years, during which the army and people of the DPRK have worked hard to implement the line set forth by Kim Jong Un, are woven with historic events in which they have brought about spectacular leap forward and miracles in the drive to build a socialist economic giant and a highly-civilized nation and improve the standard of people's living by racing against time.
The memorandum also referred to the facts that the world people have expressed great joy and appreciation of the reality in the DPRK dashing ahead like the wind towards the greatest victory under the banner of the above-said line.
It praised Kim Jong Un as the peerless patriot and great guardian of independence and justice as he has performed undying feats for the country and the nation, the times and mankind by advancing and creditably implementing the fresh line of simultaneously developing the two fronts to turn the DPRK into a matchless nuclear power and usher in a golden age of prosperity.
The army and people of the DPRK will further reinforce a nuclear sword for self-defence, the life and soul of the nation and national treasure of reunified Korea, and dash ahead like the wind towards the high eminence of prosperity with the strength, spirit and speed of Korea, holding higher the banner of simultaneously developing the two fronts under the guidance of Kim Jong Un. -0-
