Flag of the Workers’ Party of Korea
The red flag of the Workers’ Party of Korea is a symbolic banner with the emblem of the Party in its middle.
The red field of it is symbolic of the bloodline of Juche and the purity of the revolutionary traditions established by revolutionary forerunners in their bloody fight and represents a socialist banner and the revolutionary banner of the Juche idea.
The golden-colored emblem of the Party with a hammer, sickle and writing brush intersected at a point symbolizes the revolutionary and mass character of the WPK composed of workers, peasants and intellectuals.
The Party flag shows the revolutionary and massive character, indomitable will and fighting spirit of the WPK to purely carry forward the revolutionary traditions of Juche with great Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism as its guiding idea and accomplish the revolutionary cause of Juche by firmly rallying the entire people around the Party and the leader.
Today the Korean people, keeping the flag of the WPK in their mind as their mother and banner of victory, are dynamically striving to build a thriving socialist state at the earliest date.
The flag of the WPK is hoisted at designated places on the anniversary of the founding of the Party and other Party- related holiday and constantly flying on the office building of the Party Central Committee.
