ASSPUK, JISGE and UK KFA slam so-called "second rebellion trial " in south Korea

                      The Association for the Study of Songun Politics UK , the Juche Idea Study Group of England and the UK Korean Friendship Association  today issued a statement concerning the recent moves to repress the Unified Progressive Party in south Korea;

                 The so-called "second trial " of the activists and cadres of the Unified Progressive Party , which is a pro-reunification democratic party in south Korea, is another sinister move aiming to repress totally the pro-reunification forces in south Korea and those who aspire to the creation of a new society .
            A number of leading cadres of the UPP were sentenced to prison terms including a 9 year sentence for the parliamentarian Lee Sok Ki and sentences of up to 7 years were imposed on others.
                       The charges of rebellion are completely false. They are a typical example of a fascist McCarthyite style frame up.
These recent moves of the south Korean puppet regime are pushing south Korea further down the road to total fascism . South Korea is becoming one big fascist prison house where progressive thought is punished by law .
   South Korea is a society where the richer get ever richer and the poor get ever poorer. It is ruled by a corrupt elite whose first allegiance is to the United States . South Korea is occupied by US troops . The US robs the south Korean people of nearly $1 billion a year in "upkeep expenses" . Thus it is only normal that people should seek out and embrace progressive ideas and fight for independence and reunification but this being forcibly suppressed by the south Korean puppet regime in a desperate bid to maintain their own rule and keep south Korea as a US neo-colony.
                                                       The south Korean fascist puppets are enforcing fascist rule without parallel in the world and turning south Korea into a tundra of human rights, a dark shadowy land whereas fascism prevails and everything progressive is trampled down. South Korea is returning to the bad old days of the Park Chung Hee and Syngham Rhee fascist regimes.
          It is south Korea that its the worst human rights violator not the DPRK. It is hypocritical for various organisations and bodies to accuse the DPRK of human rights violations when south Korea is jailing progressive people.

We demand that the prison sentences are revoked and the National Security Law of south Korea is repealed.
