May Day Banquet for Workers Given

                                               

 Pyongyang, May 1 (KCNA) -- A banquet for workers was given at the newly built workers' hostel of the Kim Jong Suk Pyongyang Textile Mill to mark May Day.
    The banquet is a congratulatory banquet given by
Kim Jong Un for the workers of the textile mill which is bringing about wind of leap in the forefront of the drive for improving people's living standard.
    Invited to the banquet were labor innovators and workers, who are meeting their birthdays on the holiday, of the textile mill.
    Present at the banquet were also commanding officers of the units of the Korean People's Army (KPA) who were mobilized in the construction of the hostel.
    Vice Marshal of the KPA Hwang Pyong So, director of the General Political Bureau of the KPA, said in an address at the banquet that President Kim Il Sung built the textile mill on the bank of the River Taedong overgrown with weeds after the liberation of the country.
    The President let the textile mill was rehabilitated first in the postwar period and gave on-the-spot guidance dozens of times to turn the mill into the leading base of cloth production, Hwang said, and went on:
    Leader Kim Jong Il took deep care of the workers to provide them with better living conditions saying that our society is world for the workers. In the last year of his precious life he visited the mill and personally met labor innovators to encourage them and gave the benevolent instructions to build well a hostel of workers.
    The deep love of the great Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il is steadily carried forward by Marshal Kim Jong Un.
    The workers' hostel of the textile mill is the palace of love, house of happiness and beloved cradle of workers built thanks to the Marshal.
    Hwang called upon the workers of the mill to work miracles and innovations in the production to reward the trust and expectation of the Marshal by producing more cloth. -0
