Statement of the vice chairman of the AINDF Central Committee

  Today the south Koreans significantly mark the 68th anniversary of the liberation of Korea at a stirring time when the entire Korean people launch a nationwide drive to make a turning-point in the June 15 era of independent reunification, holding aloft the banner of by the Korean nation itself. 

Greeting the day, the Central Committee of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front, reflecting the unanimous minds of a broad spectrum of south Koreans, extends the highest tribute to President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il, the ever-victorious iron-willed brilliant commanders, and offers the greatest glory and the warmest felicitation to Marshal Kim Jong Un, a peerless patriot and the lodestar of national reunification, who adheres to the Songun politics paved by the Generalissimos for their lifetime.   

The August 15 is the day of great significance that brought a radical turn in the destiny of the Korean nation.

Starting the revolutionary struggle in his teens, President Kim Il Sung, with a firm resolve to save the destiny of the country and the people, when the Korean nation suffered distress under the military occupation of Japan, set forth an unique idea of smashing the armed enemy with arms and founded the Anti-Japanese People’s Guerilla Army in his twenties and aroused all Koreans to the anti-Japanese struggle.

Enduring hardships, going hungry and sleeping outdoors in the deep forests of Mt. Paektu with neither government support nor assistance from the regular army, he defined the Juche-based stand of liberating the country by the Korean nation’s own efforts. He achieved the historic cause of the country’s liberation on August 15, 1945 by throwing Japanese imperialism into a bottomless pit with his superb and protean military tactics.

The President strengthened the Korean People’s Army with his outstanding Songun-based leadership in the complicated situation after the country’s liberation. He humbled the arrogance of the US imperialists for the first time and honorably defended the national sovereignty by leading the Fatherland Liberation War against the US to victory with his matchless pluck and brilliant stratagem.

Chairman Kim Jong Il, who carried forward the Songun cause of the President, inspected the KPA units with the President to train the soldiers to be strong in idea and faith and stout combatants.

In particular, he defined Songun politics as the main political mode of socialism in the middle of 1990s, further consolidated the KPA as an invincible revolutionary army and turned north Korea into an impregnable fortress that any formidable enemy dare not provoke.  

The Chairman, with a fixed will to carry out the President’s last instructions for national reunification, defined the three principles of national reunification, the 10-point program for the great unity of the whole nation and the proposal for founding a Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo set forth by the President as the three charters for national reunification and aroused all Koreans to implement it, continuing his long journey of Songun. The second round of Pyongyang summit were held thanks to his Songun politics and the June 15 South-North Joint Declaration, the milestone for national reunification and the October 4 Declaration, a program for implementing the former were adopted.

The imperishable achievements made by the President and the Chairman who maintained the banner of Songun in their lifetime, defended the destiny of the country and nation and opened a bright vista for national reunification would be remembered for ages along with history of the nation.

The road of independence, the road of Songun and the road of socialism pioneered and indicated by President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il are being successfully carried forward by the dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un.

 It is a settled will of Kim Jong Un to glorify the peerless great men’s exploits of liberation of the country and Songun and build a unified and prosperous nation on the Korean Peninsula.

The south Koreans are sure of the bright future of a unified thriving nation through the great image of the Marshal who honorably defends security of the country and dignity of the nation on the strength of superior Songun politics and creates favorable circumstances for national reunification.

Now the south Korean vanguard fighters and broad segments of people are full of a determination to hasten national reunification, the Korean nation’s long-cherished desire, true to leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un, another unequaled Songun commander.

The people from various circles should support his Songun-based leadership in their heart of hearts, bearing steadfast faith in mind that independence, democracy and reunification will be realized only when they revere him. 

They should hold various kinds of meeting, photo show and seminar to glorify the undying feats of the President and the Chairman. 

Songun is a patriotic politics displaying the dignity and honor of the nation and safeguarding safety of the nation. The south Koreans who love peace should make an atmosphere of supporting Songun politics, a shield for peace, with the slogan “Let’s follow Songun politics of north Korea.”

They should organize and launch a nationwide struggle against the US.  

The Korean nation with a time-honored history of 5 000 years still remains divided due to the military occupation of the US. Owing to presence of the US troops, south Korea turns into a wasteland and the people are under constant threat of war.

Keeping the withdrawal of the US forces from south Korea is the way to avert a war and achieve reunification in their mind, the south Korean people should turn out in the nationwide drive to carry it out.

They should launch the nationwide drive to preserve and implement the June 15 South-North Joint Declaration, a milestone for national reunification and the October 4 Declaration, a program for implementing the former. 

Experience and lesson showed that only when inter-Korean relations are improved on the basis of the idea of by the Korean nation itself, the core of the June 15 Joint Declaration, can the trust and reconciliation between the south and north of Korea be promoted and it propels great national unity and reunification.

The south Koreans should open up a fresh turning-point in independent reunification, holding higher the banner of the Korean nation itself. 

The AINDF vanguard fighters together with the people from all social standings will surely achieve national reunification true to the Songun-based leadership of Marshal Kim Jong Un, the illustrious commander born of Mt. Paektu.
