he Association for the Study of Songun Politics UK and the Juche Idea Study Group together issued the following statement on the occasion of the 53rd anniversary of the start of the Songun revolutionary leadership on the 25th of
August;
It is 53 years since the great generalissimo Kim Jong Il eternal chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK visited the historic Seoul Ryu Kyong Su Guards no 105 tank division of the Korean People's Army heralding the beginning of the Songun revolutionary leadership . This was a road of constant revolutionary advance spanning several decades , a road of consistent and thoroughgoing anti-imperialist anti US struggle and a road of victory and glory.
As dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un said
"August 25 is a historic day that would go down in the history of the building of our revolutionary armed forces and the history of our country.
Today we long for the great
General all the more earnestly as we greet August 25 for the first
time after losing him.
We hardly keep back our tears at
the thought of him who underwent so much trial for the country and
the people.
Only with a burning patriotic
zeal he put his heart and soul into providing our unbreakable
military strength and great unity of the army and people and thus
elevated the dignity of our country on the highest phase in history,
holding aloft the banner of Songun all his life.
His exploits for it will shine
forever."The Songun revolutionary leadership of the great generalissimo Kim Jong Il began at a time when the US imperialists were causing tension all over the world such as the Vietnam war and the Cuban missile crisis. The modern revisionists , the agents of the imperialists in the international communist movement and the socialist camp, had capitulated to imperialism and were even putting pressure on the DPRK to give up its anti-imperialist stand and disarm itself , melting down tanks and guns , under the banner of 'peaceful co-existence ' and 'peaceful co-operation' with the imperialists. The great generalissimo's Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il declared that the DPRK would not go down this road but would build up the people's revolutionary armed forces on the basis of self-reliance.
As eternal chairman Kim Jong Il said
“Defending the Party and the leader with our very lives is a decisive guarantee of victory of our revolution. It is the main mission of the People’s Army and the kernel of glorious tradition of its struggle ......If a country is to be strong, it should have a strong army. I will, in the future, make our country strong in military affairs so that no enemy can pounce upon it."
Thus over the 5 decades of Songun revolutionary leadership great generalissimo Kim Jong Il , true to the Songun idea and Songun revolution initiated by the great leader President Kim Il Sung splendidly built up the Korean People's Army making it strong not only in the field of weaponry but in ideology and politics. He built up the KPA is the central force of the Korean revolution.
This anniversary is quite significant as it occurs in the 60th year since the defeat of the US imperialists in the great Fatherland Liberation War by the heroic Korean people led by the great leader generalissimo Kim Il Sung sunof Juche.
Many times,since the end of the Korean war, the US imperialist tried to provoke or stifle the DPRK but in each incident ; the "USS Pueblo " in 1968 , the EC121 incident of 1969, the Panmunjom incident of 1976 , the helicopter shoot-down of 1994, the first and second "nuclear crisis" and the Yongphyong Island shelling , they were thwarted and defeated thanks to the Songun politics and the militant all-out anti US stance of the DPRK.
This tradition and line is magnificently continued by dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un who follows in the footsteps of the Songun revolutionary leadership. This year many thought a second Korean war would break out but the tough stand of the Korean People's Army ,commanded by dear respected Supreme Commander Marshal Kim Jong Un and based on the Songun revolutionary line of total all-all out anti imperialism ,made the US imperialists back down. The arrogant and stupid Yankee imperialists had no choice but to postpone the test of their missile to May.
