Leader
Kim Jong Il,
eternal Chairman of the DPRK National Defense Commission recorded a
new history of the building of the revolutionary armed forces with
his Songun politics (military-first politics) and opened the glorious
age of era of the Workers’ Party.
In
the mid-1990s when the Korean revolution faced the worst trials, he
defined the Songun politics as the main mode of socialist politics
with his clairvoyant wisdom and exceptional perspicacity and embodied
it in an all-round way.
He
ensured that Party work and activities were directed to the
implementation of the Songun revolutionary lines, traits of attaching
foremost importance to army, and military affairs were established in
the whole society and the state structure system was formed with the
National Defense Commission as its pivot.
It
was a landmark event that provided a reliable political and
structural guarantee of the Songun politics.
The
establishment of the Songun politics as a perfect political method
opened a unique way for the formation of the revolutionary force in
Korea and the realization of socialist politics.
The
history of the world revolutionary movement did not know the word of
Songun.
Songun
politics is the political mode of Kim Jong Il
type that can be termed only after him in fact as well as in name.
Leader
Kim Jong Il
converted the DPRK into a political and ideological power in which
all the service personnel and civilians are united single-mindedly.
In
conformity with the requirement of the Songun politics Kim
Jong Il gave
prominence to the People’s Army as the pillar and main force of
revolution and put forth all his energy to bolster and develop the
People’s Army into the armed force of the leader and the Party
without let-up and boost the defense capabilities of the country in
every way.
He
ensured that the People’s Army formed a world of comrades with its
Supreme Commander to share its lot with him and the army and the
people firmly established community of ideas and fighting traits.
As
a result, the unity and cohesion of the revolutionary ranks were
enhanced to single-minded unit of the leader, Party, army and people.
Under
his Songun-based leadership the People’s Army was strengthened into
a powerful revolutionary armed force with the thoroughgoing spirit of
defending the leader devotedly and the defense industry of the DPRK
developed into industry capable of manufacturing any sophisticated
weapons at will.
Today
the DPRK has emerged as a strong military power.
It’s
the greatest victory achieved by the Songun politics of Kim
Jong Il.
Kim Jong Il
opened a new history
of the building of a thriving nation under the strong political and
military guarantee.
During
the Arduous March and forced march, he drew up a grand plan for
building a prosperous state and saw to it that the People’s Army
made a breakthrough in major sectors of the socialist construction
and the entire people learned the revolutionary soldier spirit,
thereby bringing about grand innovations and upsurge all over the
country.
The
launch of DPRK satellites, mass production of CNC machines,
monumental edifices across the country, a new heyday of socialist
culture and all other proud successes symbolic of the Songun era are
precious fruits of the Songun politics.
The
Songun politics produced the June 15 inter-Korean joint declaration
and October 4 declaration on the basis of the idea of “By our
nation itself”, opening a new phase of national reunification
movement and contributing to safeguarding peace and security of
Northeast Asia and the world.
Today
the DPRK army and people are conducting a more vigorous drive to
build a thriving nation under the leadership of Marshal Kim
Jong Un, supreme
leader of the Party, state and army who carries forward the Songun
politics of Kim Jong Il.
