The British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea (BGSJ) and the Korean Friendship Association of the UK ( KFA UK)  today issued a joint statement in supporting the press statement of  vice general director of the General Armaments Bureau of the Ministry of National Defence of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea(DPRK ) titled "The new 'co-produced weapon' of the U.S.-Japan military alliance signals the further unstable security environment of the region " that was issued on the 1st of April;

The press statement of  vice general director of the General Armaments Bureau of the Ministry of National Defence of the DPRK alerts the world public to the sinister schemes of the US and Japan to increase armaments with the purpose of starting a war against the DPRK and other countries. As the press statement comments "The U.S.-Japan alliance styling itself a key axis of the U.S.-led military alliance system in the Asia-Pacific region is taking on a fresh appearance to give repeated signals of instability to the surrounding countries and the regional society."

The US and Japan recently agreed to co-produce the latest air-to-air missile AIM-120. This is not a defensive measure but an offensive one as it will be used to secure the dominance of air space by the US and Japan . Worse still the US is openly encouraging Japan , a former World War Two axis power ,to take the road of militarism and aggression. The increased and tightened military co-operation between the US and Japan is a serious threat to peace in the region .

As the  vice general director of the General Armaments Bureau of the Ministry of National Defence of of the DPRK declares "A force without justice is a tyranny and justice without a force is meaningless.". This is a basic truth . The DPRK will make it a priority task to build up its deterrence .

We support the measures of the DPRK to counter the threat of US and Japanese aggression!
