Pyongyang, June 7 (KCNA) -- A joint national meeting of the Korean Children's Union (KCU) organizations took place here on Thursday to celebrate the 78th founding anniversary of the KCU.
Attending it were participants in the celebrations of the 78th KCU birthday and schoolchildren in Pyongyang.
Present on invitation were Kim Su Gil, chief secretary of the Pyongyang Municipal Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Ri Tu Song, department director of the WPK Central Committee, Kim Sung Du, minister of Education, and officials of the youth league.
Mun Chol, chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League, made a report.
The reporter said that the joint national meeting serves as a significant occasion in demonstrating the bold spirit of the KCU members who are bringing into full bloom their beautiful dreams and hope under the benevolent care of the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un.
He noted that Kim Jong Un has taken warm care of the rising generations with all his love and affection and brought up them to be reliable successors to the revolution despite manifold difficulties and ordeals.
He said that the schoolchildren of the DPRK are firmly preparing themselves to be young revolutionaries and patriots as they hold in high esteem Kim Jong Un who shapes the policy for children before any others and spares nothing for the rising generations.
He called upon all the KCU members to prepare themselves to be true sons and daughters of the socialist country, bearing in mind that their happiness and rosy future are unthinkable without the love of the respected fatherly Marshal.
Then followed speeches.
Speakers expressed their determination to remain faithful to Kim Jong Un and become exemplary KCU members who always give joy to him. -0-
