Is People's Korea a Monarchy ? The KFA UK view

All kinds of slanders , fabrications , distortions and insults are throw at People's Korea usually from the mainstream media but sometimes from liberals and the self-identified 'Left ' . Some claim ' We cannot support the DPRK cos it is a monarchy ...blah , blah '.
Lets look at the facts and do a comparative exercise between the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and the United Kingdom , our own country which is styled as a 'constitutional monarchy .
In the UK the head of state is Queen Elizabeth , in the DPRK it is supreme leader Marshal Kim Jong Un , who is Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and Chairman of the Workers Party of Korea . Both positions are elected positions , Queen Elizabeth is not elected .
Article 101 of the 'Socialist Constitution of the DPRK states
"The Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea is elected at the Supreme People’s Assembly ' and article 102 says that
"The term of office of the Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea is the same as that of the Supreme People’s Assembly.'
This is really quite different from Queen Elizabeth's role and position .
Also ' The Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea is accountable to the Supreme People’s Assembly ' according to article 106 of te DPRK Socialist Constitution . This is a contrast to HM the Queen who is not accountable to the UK parliament . In fact the Queen has the legal power to dismiss parliament , this was last used in 1830 but still exists .
In fact a number of articles from different sources state that HM Queen actually is above the law .
In the DPRK ' the sovereignty of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea resides in the workers, peasants, soldiers, intellectuals and all other working people. The working people exercise State power through their representative organs–the Supreme People’s Assembly and local People’s Assemblies at all levels." ( Article 4 of the ' Socialist Constitution ) whereas in the UK and indeed any other real monarchy , the monarch is sovereign .
Additionally the Queen enjoys other powers that Marshal Kim Jong Un does not have . For example the gov.uk website states ' When someone dies with no will or known family, their property passes to the Crown as ownerless property (or ‘bona vacantia’). It can be any kind of property, like buildings, money or personal possessions" ..

It can be seen from the above that when looked at carefully and analysed point by point the claim that the DPRK is a monarchy is really quite absurd.
