The respected supreme leader Kim Jong Un had conceived a grand plan to turn Samjiyon City with Mt. Paektu where the Korean revolution started more wonderfully into a mountain town best in the world.
When the moves of the hostile forces displeased with the victorious advance of the DPRK reached the extreme, he planned such a huge construction of mountain city as he firmly believed in the inexhaustible strength of the people.
In August Juche 107(2018) he visited the construction site of the then Samjiyon County.
He went round several places taking their splendid shapes before mounting the observatory.
Commanding a bird's-eye view of the then Samjiyon County township which was being built into a beautiful paradise, he said with pleasure: It is marvellous. It looks like a town. Its shape began to be outlined wonderfully as a Utopia of the people and an ideal mountain city I had pictured to myself all the time.
However clean and pure the water of Lake Chon of Mt. Paektu may be, it cannot be compared with their sweat of loyalty. We are hastening the great era together with such good people. If we can be with such good people, we will go to whatever place on the earth without fear.
Keeping his trust in their hearts, the Korean people built Samjiyon City wonderfully into an ideal land of the people and a model of mountain modern cities.
