A meeting to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the Korean people's victory in the Fatherland Liberation War on Saturday ,28th of July in central London . The meeting was organised by the ASSPUK, JISGE and UK KFA and was attended by members of the ASSPUK, JISGE and UK KFA and also members of the New Communist Party including general secretary Andy Brooks.
Dr Dermot President of ASSPUK , Chairman of JISGE and Chairman UK KFA opened the meeting that we were here to celebrate a great victory, the victory of the Korean people in the Fatherland Liberation War , these days victories are rare. Also the DPRK-US Summit was a victory for the DPRK and only happened because the DPRK became a nuclear power.
The meeting received a message of greetings from comrade Kim Song Gi
minister counsellor of the DPRK Embassy in London sent greetings to the meeting say that members of the ASSPUK, JISGE and UK KFA stood on the frontline against imperialism . Comrade Kim sent a speech to the meeting which read in part "July 27 was recorded as the V day for the DPRK, when the country, though small, defeated the US-led multinational forces under the signboard of the “UN forces,” thus creating a world-startling legendary tale and shattering the myth of the “mightiness” of the US, which had been boasting that it had never been defeated in over 100 wars
The V day, July 27, of the Korean people will be eternal. "
A message of greetings was received from the Stoke On Trent branch of the JISGE and Staffordshire KFA which said "The Stoke On Trent Branch of the Juche Idea Study Group and the Staffordshire Branch of the UK KFA wish to send our warmest greetings on the commemoration of the victory of the Korean people in the Fatherland Liberation War (1950-1953).
On June 25th, 1950, US Imperialism made a ferocious attack upon the then newly established Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea. Instead of the imperialist aggression being a success, it turned into a complete rout for the US and its puppet armies. With weeks of the FLW starting, 90 per cent of the territory of south Korea had been liberated from the neo-colonial rule of Syngman Rhee. The brilliant triumphs of the Korean Peoples Army were seen in such as battles as the storming of Taejon. The Korean people were fighting a war for national salvation against US imperialism and its satellites. At Sinchon-Ri, 35,380 Korean civilians were massacred by the US military".
UK KFA Organisation Secretary David sent a message saying "Dear comrades and friends,
The Victory Day, July 27th is the day that every Anti-imperialist, Communist and peace and reunification defenders must celebrate.
July 27th was the day when the Korean People united in the Korean People's Army led by the Great General Kim Il Sung defeated and humiliated the US Imperialist and their puppets forces."
Dr Dermot Hudson said that "July 27th means the day of the second liberation for the army and people of the DPRK as they defeated the U.S. imperialists and honourably protected the sovereignty of the country under the leadership of President KIM IL SUNG. The first liberation day being the liberation from Japanese imperialism on August 15th 1945 .July 27th is when the Korean Armistice Agreement was concluded"
Basically the Fatherland Liberation War was akin to the biblical story of David and Goliath with the DPRK being in the role of the boy David and the US in the role of the giant Goliath.
Thus in the Fatherland Liberation War commanded by the great leader comrade KIM IL SUNG reactionary bourgeois military theory was smashed by the Juche orientated revolutionary military strategy and theory. The Fatherland Liberation War ended in victory due to the Juche orientated military tactics and Songun revolutionary leadership of the great leader supreme commander Marshal KIM IL SUNG and the heroism and self-sacrifice of the Korean people . Eternal victory will always belong to the Korean people !"

Andy Brooks general secretary of the New Communist Party addressed the meeting say that despite attempts by the imperialists to deny it , the Fatherland Liberation War was a victory for the Korean people . Moreover the DPRK-US summit had been a big success for the DPRK .Liberals had attacked . Big tasks now faced solidarity organisations .
Dr Dermot Hudson spoke about the 6th anniversary of the award of the title of Marshal to the dear respected leader comrade KIM JONG UN saying that respected Marshal KIM JONG UN had successfully led the revolutionary armed forces of Juche Korea and the Korean people and that he is a leader whose does not tolerate inefficiency .
Alex Meads UK KFA Commissar spoke about the 73rd anniversary of the liberation of Korea pointing out that "The liberation of Korea was not only a great event for the Korean people but had worldwide significance. The liberation of Korea by the Korean People's Revolutionary Army led Kim Il Sung made a great contribution to the victory of the international anti-fascist forces. The victorious liberation struggle fought by the Korean people was also an inspiration for the peoples of the colonial countries fighting for their independence and liberation. This fact was acknowledged by the World Cultural Congress in Havana in 1968 as the congress adopted a document praising the anti-Japanese armed struggle waged under the leadership Kim Il Sung. The anti-Japanese struggle also proved beyond doubt the validity of the Juche and Songun ideas.
This great struggle should always be remembered by progressive people the world over as an example of how those who are oppressed can free themselves by undertaking a Juche-based revolutionary armed struggle."
Jose led a discussion on the results of the poster exhibition and proposals for more poster exhibitions . He said that we need to be more creative in our approach , that we should encourage people to debate . Jose proposed that a multi-dimensional event in which people could experience Korean art , music ,video and even food . Dr Dermot Hudson said we should hold many exhibitions in regional centres such as Stoke or Liverpool.
A lively Q and A session was held . Discussions were held on how to combat anti-DPRK propaganda. It also got pointed out that south Korea has the lowest birthrate in the world .
A letter to the dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN was adopted.
An exhibition of works of the great leader comrade KIM IL SUNG , great leader comrade KIM JONG IL and respected Chairman KIM JONG UN as well as books explaining the Juche Idea plus the publications of ASSPUK, JISGE and UK KFA.
Refreshments were served .
Meeting concluded at 17.30 and was followed by a social .
