Anyone
who visits Panmunjom
which is called the synonym for the split of the Korean nation
hesitates to move in front of the monument bearing on inscription of
the autograph of President
Kim
Il Sung.
“Kim
Il Sung
July
7, 1994”
It
is the last autograph of President Kim
Il Sung
in his lifetime.
Ushering
in July Juche 83(1994) the
preparation for the first north-south summit talk in the history of
national division was being undertaken in the last stage by ardent
love for nation and broad magnanimity of President
Kim
Il Sung.
Although
President Kim
Il Sung
did not relieve his fatigue piled up due to the guidance to the
economic sector the day before, he
turned
over
the historical document one by one.
…
He
got through the last page of the document
and
signed
with
master-stroke
“Kim
Il Sung
July 7, 1994”.
And
then he
beamed all over his face saying that the national reunification was
just ahead, which our fellow countrymen so much longed for.
But
nobody could imagine that this letters would be the last
autograph
in his lifetime.
He
devoted his
tireless efforts saying
that the national reunification was the greatest present for our
people but he left his desire for the reunification on these 9
letters and passed away too unexpectedly and too sorrowfully.
The
day was July
8, 1994.
The
monument bearing on inscription of the autograph of the national
reunification solemnly stands conveying the immortal achievements of
President Kim
Il Sung
for the national reunification, the long-cherished desire of the
nation.
