The Korean Friendship Association of the UK and the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea held a meeting on the 25th of May to report back from a visit to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea in April and also a lecture on the Juche idea as well as a report back the visit to KFA Germany . The meeting was held in Central London. Attending were members and officials of the Korean Friendship Association UK and British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea as well leaders of the New Communist Party and Revolutionary Communist Party of Britain Marxist Leninist , the British Posadists and a guest from KFA Poland .
The meeting was also livestreamed via streamyard/Youtube which attracted participation throughout the world .
Dr Dermot Hudson the Chairman of the Korean Friendship Association UK and Chairman of the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea spoke about his visit to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea from the 11th of April to the 18th of April . He said that it was his 19th visit to the DPRK and that he had first visited the DPRK in 1992 . Dr Hudson said that the face of the DPRK had changed many times since his first visit 3 decades . In the talk Dr Hudson explained that the DPRK is carrying out massive construction work and that he saw the newly built Hwasong Street which was not there in 2019 , this street about the same size as a London borough or a small city . Dr Hudson said that the DPRK is carrying massive housing construction not under ideal conditions but under the pressure of sanctions and military threats . Dr Hudson also referred to his visit to the newly built Kangdong Greenhouse Vegetable Farm which has already started to supply vegetables free of charge to people . Dr Hudson said that there were no beggars or homeless people in the DPRK and that the streets are clean.

Dr Hudson also reported about his recent trip to Germany at the invitation of KFA Germany where he participated in a May Day march and also visited the DPRK embassy in Berlin as well as the Volkskammer restaurant ..
Alan Bolon KFA Organisation Secretary and head of KFA UK West of England gave a lecture titled “Juche idea as a perfect
and great builder of socialist society,in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea” in which he gave a most detailed explanation of the Juche idea as well as its application in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea. Comrade Alan explained that the Juche idea is rooted in the theories of Marx .To explain his points comrade Alan used a flip chart with diagrams to illustrate different aspects of Juche . Comrade Alan stressed that “The revolutionary Juche Philosophy and its interactions / correlations with the popular masses between on basic fundamentals principles of the Juche Philosophy: independence, consciousness and creativity explains their progress and also brings to understanding a wider view of the aspect of works the Juche idea in DPRK society and the basic factors that determine that process as objective conditions”.
Questions were raised by the audience.
A selection of literature from the DPRK and KFA UK was displayed as well as souvenirs from the DPRK .
Refreshments were served .
The meeting concluded at 1700 hours.
Afterwards a BBQ was held at the KFA UK Chairman’s home in London.
