KFA UK condemns the presence of British warships in Korean waters

The Korean Friendship Association of the UK today issued the following statement ;

 The Korean Friendship Association of the UK (KFA UK ) totally condemns the presence of " HMS Spey " of the British Royal Navy in Korean waters .

The Royal Navy and UK Ministry of Defence have been boasting shamelessly that they have sent a British warship to Korean waters which infringes on the sovereignty of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK ) and threatens peace . It is nothing to be proud of or brag about . Indeed the British government are indulging imperialist gunboat diplomacy which was outdated even in the 20th century let alone the 21st  century .

The "HMS Spey " is a 2,000 ton vessel equipped with 30mm guns . Its deployment in Korean waters, to supposedly 'police' or 'monitor ' the totally illegal , unjust and unfair sanctions against People's Korea which are aimed at crippling the economy of the DPRK and overthrowing the people-centred socialist system of the DPRK ,is a vile act of intimidation against People's Korea .

The presence of the HMS Spey in waters near to the DPRK is a massive waste of British taxpayers money . Why isn't the HMS Spey deployed in British waters to secure borders ?

We also denounce the British government for increasing co-operation with the hated south Korean fascist puppet regime which is the Number 1 enemy of the DPRK. Britain is helping to prop up the reactionary fascist puppet regime in south Korea  as well as backing US imperialism !

We urge KFA UK members and supporters to send letters of protest to the UK MoD and UK FCDO !
