Two Points Emphasized

  A huge project started in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea to attain the 10-year goal of the Workers' Party of Korea for the comprehensive regional rejuvenation.

  This time, too, the WPK and the government of the DPRK put the People's Army at the forefront of the struggle to hit the 10-year goal for shoring up the regional economy, and organized the 124th regiments under the services and corps at all levels for the purpose.

  The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the DPRK, personally awarded the regimental colours to the newly-formed 124th regiments of the Korean People's Army at the ground-breaking ceremony for the construction of regional-industry factories in Songchon County as part of the implementation of the "Regional Development 20×10 Policy" on February 28, Juche 113(2024).

  That day, he specially emphasized the two points for the officers and men of the 124th regiments who advanced to the construction sites of regional-industry factories across the country.

  One was that they should ensure the highest quality in building the regional-industry factories with a determination not to let their parents, brothers and sisters in their home towns and villages experience difficulties in their living any longer, mindful of being the creators of transformations of the new era.

  The other was that the service personnel should always be standard-bearers and set excellent examples also in implementing the Party's slogan "Everything for the improvement of the people's standard of living!".

  Ground-breaking ceremonies for the construction of regional-industry factories took place in succession throughout the country after the one in Songchon County.

  Now the units of the People's Army dispatched to different parts of the country are working hard to create a new myth in construction.

  True to the noble intention of Kim Jong Un, the soldier-builders are making devoted efforts to build the regional-industry factories on the highest qualitative level and always become standard-bearers in implementing the Party's policy as creators of the people's happiness.
