ASSPUK , BGSJI and KFA UK support the policy speech of respected Marshal KIM JONG UN titled ""On the Immediate Tasks for the Prosperity and Development of Our Republic and the Promotion of the Wellbeing of Our People"

   The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK(ASSPUK), the  British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea(BGSJI) and  the  Korean Friendship Association of the UK(KFA UK))issued a joint statement in support of the policy speech of respected Marshal KIM JONG UN titled "On the Immediate Tasks for the Prosperity and Development of Our Republic and the Promotion of the Wellbeing of Our People " to the  10th Session of the 14th Supreme People's Assembly (SPA) of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK ) on January 15 ,and ,also the recent measures taken by the DPRK in regard to inter-Korean affairs ;

Respected Marshal KIM JONG UN , the general secretary of the Workers Party of Korea and President of State Affairs of the DPRK made a policy speech titled " On the Immediate Tasks for the Prosperity and Development of Our Republic and the Promotion of the Wellbeing of Our People"  which followed on from the historic 9th Plenum of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers Party of Korea  and was basically focussed on implementing the decisions of the 9th Plenum  including the stance in regard to the issue of reunification and inter-Korean relations .

Because respected Marshal KIM JONG UN is a true people's leader  and the DPRK government and Workers Party of Korea purse people-oriented policies , the central core of the speech was about improving living standards . In the speech Marshal KIM JONG UN put forward many tasks to improve the standard of living of the people and also to develop the work of education and the health service.

An ambitious project to create a canal linking the West and East Seas of Korea. Such a project is truly laudable project which will boost socialist construction greatly.

Significantly respected Marshal KIM JONG UN called for the building of more homes both in the cities and rural areas .He also identified the issue of an apparent imbalance between regions and put forward concrete proposals to develop regional industry and improve the life of people in different regions of the DPRK. He also stressed that grain production should be increased and science should be further developed ;

Turning to the issue of the ongoing confrontation with the US imperialists and their vassals respected Marshal KIM JONG UN noted that "The frequent remarks made by the U.S. authorities about the "end of our regime", vast nuclear strategic assets constantly stationed in the peripheral area of the DPRK, ceaseless war exercises with its followers staged on the largest scale, the military nexus between Japan and the Republic of Korea boosted at the instigation of the U.S., etc. are seriously threatening the security of our state moment by moment."

Marshal KIM JONG UN called for the work of national defence to be strengthened and for the Korean People's Army to be prepared for war saying that "We do not want war, but we also have no intention of avoiding it."

The question of implementing the new lines and policies with regard to inter-Korean affairs was addressed by respected Marshal KIM JONG UN . In the policy speech Marshal KIM JONG UN said that the reality is that two states now exist on the Korean peninsula and that reconciliation with the south Korean puppets is impossible . This being the case Marshal KIM JONG UN said that the DPRK Constitution should be revised and that the borders of the DPRK towards the south should be clearly defined and the illegal 'northern limit line ' of the south Korean puppets. South Korea is now defined as a hostile state and No 1 enemy of the DPRK.

We believe this to be correct . All the inter-Korean agreements have failed and the south Korean puppets only wanted to overthrow the socialist system of the DPRK , at regime change and 'unification by absorption ' . In our opinion past inter-Korean projects such as the Kaesong Industrial Park and Mt Kumgang Tourist Region were simply a conspiracy to try and spread the corrupt capitalist system into the DPRK.

The railways between the DPRK and south Korea are to be permanently cut and also the eyesore "Monument to the Three Charters for National Reunification" is to be removed .  We support and applaud these correct measures.

The policy speech of respected Marshal KIM JONG UN titled "On the Immediate Tasks for the Prosperity and Development of Our Republic and the Promotion of the Wellbeing of Our People " is a brilliant speech which lays down correct guidelines for the development of a powerful independent socialist state . We think the policy speech deserves support and wider study .
