Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un Sends Greetings to Lao President


Pyongyang, December 3 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, sent a message of greeting to Thongloun Sisoulith, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and president of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, on Saturday.


In the message, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un extended warm congratulations to Thongloun Sisoulith and the Lao party and government and people on the 48th birthday of the Lao People's Democratic Republic (LPDR).


The foundation of the LPDR is a historic event that realized the Lao people's long-cherished desire for a genuine people's power and opened up a new phase of building a socialist state, the message said, adding:


I am rejoiced over the fact that the Lao government and people have made remarkable progress in the struggle to ensure the country's socio-political stability and develop the economy in a sustained way under the correct leadership of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party headed by you, general secretary.


Expressing the belief that the strategic and comradely relations of friendship and cooperation between the two parties and the two countries with a long history and an excellent tradition would grow stronger, the message sincerely wished Thongloun Sisoulith bigger success in his noble work for the prosperity of the LPDR and the wellbeing of its people. -0-
