The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK (ASSPUK),the British Group for the Study of the  Juche Idea  (BGSJI), the  Korean Friendship Association of the UK( KFA UK) and British Solidarity Committee for Peace and Reunification (BSCPRKP) today issued a joint statement hailing the holding of the 5th National Meeting of Mothers in the DPRK and the speech made by respected Marshal KIM JONG UN titled  "On Duty of Mothers for Their Families and Society"

The 5th National Meeting of Mothers in the DPRK was held in the presence of respected Marshal KIM JONG UN  from the 3rd of December to the 4th of December in Pyongyang , the revolutionary capital of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK ) . It was attended by over 10,000 mothers of different ages and from different walks of life . Such  a meeting is truly unique in the world and can only be held in People's Korea .

In his opening remarks to the meeting respected Marshal KIM JONG UN put forward important task for mothers such as increasing  the birth rate of the DPRK and non-socialist practices to be eliminated among young people .

In the keynote address to the meeting "On Duty of Mothers for Their Families and Society"  respected Marshal KIM JONG UN praised the role of mothers in society and stressed the importance of mothers in society . As Respected Marshal KIM JONG UN said  "In moments of hardship or difficulty, one would think of their mothers before anybody else, who gave birth to them, fed and clothed them, and helped them with their first steps." This words contain a great truth and a great deal of wisdom.

In the speech respected Marshal KIM JONG UN stresses the overwhelmingly importance of ideology as the sound foundation for bringing up children in a socialist society  "Unless a mother becomes a communist, it is impossible for her to bring up her sons and daughters as communists and transform the members of her family into revolutionaries."  This is absolutely true.

Respected Marshal KIM JONG UN also says that mothers should encourage their children to take part in tough labour and should take part in socialist construction so as to set an example .Moreover the struggle against alien practices in society can only be victorious when mothers take part in it .

There is no doubt about it respected Marshal KIM JONG UN's speech gives very important teachings on the role of mothers in a socialist society . Guided by the ideas of respected Marshal KIM JONG UN new victories will be won in the struggle to build a thriving socialist country .
