KFA UK held its 10th film night on October 28th at 1900 hours . Participating in were KFA UK officials and members from London and the West of England as well as guests from KFA Germany , KFA Bulgaria , the People's Korea Initiative of Poland and Turkey .
The feature film 'Urban Girl Comes to Get Married ' was shown . This is a wonderful film showing the reality of the DPRK socialist countryside . The central plot of the film revolves around a love story between a clothes designer from a factory in Pyongyang and a young farm worker .It can be said that the film symbolised the alliance between the workers and peasants of the DPRK . The film had a sweet happy ending .
Participants said the film dispelled myths about the DPRK being backward and suffering from 'famine'
The documentary ' US Journalists in North Korea: We can learn a hell of a lot from this country! (US-Documentary 1994) was shown . This had an interesting perspective on the DPRK from the point of view of black Americans . The documentary showed many fascinating scenes of the DPRK.
The film night concluded at 20.55 hours BST.
