The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK (ASSPUK),the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea (BGSJI), the Korean Friendship Association of the UK( KFA UK) and British Solidarity Committee for Peace and Reunification (BSCPRKP) today issued a joint statement on the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the visit of comrade Miguel Mario Diaz-Canel Bermudez, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and president of the Republic of Cuba to the Democratic People 's Republic of Korea (DPRK ) in November 2018 ;
Five years have passed since the visit of the Cuban president comrade Miguel Mario Diaz-Canel Bermudez to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) .It was an event of great significance as it was the first visit of a Cuban head of state to the DPRK for 32 years . The visit consolidated the unbreakable and militant Cuba-DPRK friendship that had been initiated and developed by the great leader President KIM IL SUNG and on the Cuban side by Fidel Castro , Raul Castro and Major Ernesto Che Guevara . Major Ernesto Che Guevara once said that the DPRK was the socialist country that he liked best .
The visit further developed the friendly and fraternal relations between Cuba and the DPRK , two independent anti-imperialist socialist countries.As dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN said the DPRK and Cuba " are in the same trench in the struggle for defending sovereignty and dignity of their countries and safeguarding international justice"
The DPRK has always stood by Cuba in whatever difficult situation and has given internationalist assistance to Cuba . Today the DPRK is united with Cuba against imperialism !
