June 19 Will Shine in the History of the WPK Forever  The great leader Kim Jong Il started his work at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea on June 19, Juche 53(1964).

  That day, he had a serious talk with the great leader Kim Il Sung, the founder and leader of the WPK, about the party work and studied lots of papers all the night.

  Coming out into the yard of the Party Central Committee wet with the dew of dawn together with the officials, he looked at the red Party flag fluttering on the roof of the building.

  He felt his heart warming up, looking back upon the past history of the red Party flag that has always fluttered as a symbol of victory and glory for tens of years since the Party was founded.

  Kim Jong Il said to the officials: Look at the flag. The history of our Party is the most glorious and brilliant history which has passed along with that red Party flag. Now we should wage a more vigorous struggle to accomplish the cause of the great leader Kim Il Sung, flying high that red flag.

  After a while, he solemnly declared that the WPK should be invariably strengthened and developed into the glorious Party of Kim Il Sung forever in the future, too, and it was his lifelong task to strengthen and develop the WPK into the Party of Kim Il Sung forever.

  True to the pledge all his life, he made all his painstaking efforts to strengthen and develop the WPK.

 

  Since the start of his leadership, a fundamental change was made in the party work and new changes brought about in all fields of the socialist construction.

  The significant June 19 is shining in the history of the WPK forever along with October 10 when the Party was founded.
