I have the honor to participate in the ICCSS e-Seminar organized on the occasion of the 81st anniversary of beloved leader Generalissimo KIM JONG IL and to celebrate the Day of the Shining Star, with the theme – “Enhancement of Global Independence more Essential to Establishing International Songun University that’s Pillar is the Brightest Focus of 81st Birth Anniversary of Beloved leader KIM JONG IL.
First of all I pay my deep tributes and high respect to dear leader Comrade KIM JONG IL for extraordinary achievements as guardian of Socialism and Justice, he Conducted energetic activities for the victory of socialist cause, global peace and stability and friendship and solidarity among peoples under the uplifted banner of independence against imperialism thus raising the international position and reputation of the DPRK and making immortal contribution to the human cause of independence. His immortal services will remain unforgettable on the hearts and minds of humankind all around the world.
February 16, Juche 112 (2023) marks the 81st Birth Anniversary of the Great Leader Comrade KIM JONG IL, Eternal Chairman of the Workers’ party of Korea. The Korean people observe this occasion as the nation’s greatest holiday as the Day of the Shining Star which the world’s people advocating the cause of independence and justice, also view it as great occasion for celebration.
Born on February 16, 1942, on Mt. Paektu, the sacred Mountain of the Korean revolution Leader KIM JONG IL grew up in the flames of the anti-Japanese war and worked with the great leader President KIM IL SUNG for many years as his greatest Comrade-in-arms and most faithful assistant in advancing the revolution and construction.
Personally, I am very much impressed by the farsighted vision of Comrade Dr. M. Jahangir Khan, who from the very beginning of his learnings on Songun policy, honestly advocating and struggling to establish International Songun University and widening the noble idea all over the world and some 6 years before, and led the International Central Committee for Songun Study (ICCSS). Since then, the study of the Songun politics is being promoted actively on an international level. In order to deepen our understanding of the Songun politics it is necessary to not only distribute materials about the Songun Politics and hold meetings but we need to study it in depth, in fact in an academic career. We need to encourage active research and study into the Songun politics and build solidarity with people’s Korea, the birth place of Juche idea and Songun policy.
The research and study of it in the academic institute has become an urgent need of the present time, because the US imperialists, its puppet forces, revisionists and fake leftist elements are continuously creating false theories and slandering the reality of People’s Korea. The imperialists’ force also creating false propaganda against Songun politics and people’s Korea.
Here lies the importance of establishing the Songun International University, which can answer to this big challenge created by the imperialist forces, promote education on Songun politics at an academic level thus making a great contribution to solidarity with People’s Korea and the promotion of the study of the Songun Politics and encourage various practical research on it.
It is also the highest need and equally important to bring the peace-loving progressive world people to correctly understand as to how the Songun politics came into being and why the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea had to take the Songun politics and also how correct its choice was viewing in the present complicated and critical situation in the Korean Peninsula and in the imperialists attituded towards the peace loving tiny socialist nations.
As Comrade Dr. Jahangir Khan has correctly mentioned in his book – Songun International Part 1 and 2, where he writes – “We feel great swell as we see in mind the blessed world full of happiness and peace free from the imperialists’ domination, invasion, exploitation and plunder, which would come after our energetic struggle to the march of Songun International.” This great view itself shows how important it is to establish a Songun International University. I need not further explain on its importance. When something is done in the struggle for the independence, peace and progress of the mankind, one feels most happiness and pride in his life!
Finally I would like to extend my special thanks and honor to Dr. Dermot Hudson, Secretary General of ICCSS and Chairman of the Association for the Study of Songun politics, United Kingdom and the British Group for the Study of Juche Idea for his brilliant guidance to us and sincere efforts in widening and deepening the Juche Idea and Songun policy.
