The Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK(ASSPUK),the British Group the Study of the Juche Idea (BGSJI),the Korean Friendship Association of the UK(KFA UK ) and the British Solidarity Committee For Peace and Reunification on the Korean (BSCPRKP) issued a joint statement on the occasion of 11th anniversary of the appointment of dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN as the Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army.
Eleven short years have passed , since the Workers' Party of Korea(WPK) and Korean people made the momentous decision to appoint respeccted Marshal KIM JONG UN as Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army , placing at the head of the revolutionary armed forces of People's Korea.
The post of Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army (KPA)carries a high responsibility not just to the Korean people but the world people who aspire after independence and socialism because the DPRK stands on the frontline between imperialism and socialism. It is the might of the
KPA, commanded by dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN, that is defending world socialism.
The appointment of dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN as Supreme Commander of the KPA by the Political Bureau of the WPK on the 30th of December 2011 was a deep manifestation of the trust and support of the WPK members and entire Korean people for dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN. It also reflected the desire and will of the Korean people to follow the road of independence, Songun and socialism forever and continue along the road of the Songun revolutionary leadership come what may and without deviation or concession.
Supreme Commander Marshal KIM JONG UN visited the historic Seoul Ryu Kyong Su Guards no 105 tank division of the Korean People's Army on the 1st of January 2012, this is the unit where the great leader comrade KIM JONG IL began his Songun revolutionary leadership (and is also the first tank unit to go into Seoul during the liberation of south Korea during the Fatherland Liberatio war).
The DPRK stands on the front-line between socialism and imperialism . Dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN as KPA supreme commander visited the most tense flash-points not once but several times, tirelessly giving on the spot-guidance to the KPA in all weathers and virtually every day.
On a number of occasions such as in March 2013 and August 2015 dear respected Marshal
KIM JONG UN took resolute and decisive measures to defend the DPRK from US imperialist and south Korean puppet aggression.
The self-defence potentials of the DPRK have grown considerably under the guidance of dear
respected Marshal KIM JONG UN. Thanks to the leadership of dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN the DPRK has become a Juche-based nuclear strategic state , a socialist nuclear power of Juche. This year (2022 ) , the DPRK under the guidance of respected Marshal KIM JONG UN tested the new type ICBM the Hwasongpho 17. Moreover , the DPRK's nuclear status was enshrined in law .
As a result of the assumption of the position of Supreme commander of the Korean People's Army by the dear respected leader Marshal KIM JONG UN the continuity of the Songun revolutionary leadership has been maintained. The KPA has been built up as an even more powerful revolutionary armed force. Dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN is following in the footsteps of the great generalissimo’s of Mt Paektu, KIM IL SUNG and KIM JONG IL , ready to deter any aggressor and defend the independence of the country .
Our organisations would like to extend our warm congratulations to dear respected Marshal KIM JONG UN on the11th anniversary of his appointment as Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army.
