Today the Korean people are vigorously advancing along the road of socialist cause by braving every manner of trials and difficulties of history.
They are not only demonstrating their dignity and honour to the world by resolutely frustrating the hostile forces’ tenacious sanctions and isolate-and-stifle schemes but also attaining far-reaching goals of socialist construction one by one by relying on the independent national economy.
These achievements would be unthinkable apart from the outstanding revolutionary idea of General Secretary Kim Jong Un of the ruling Workers’ Party of Korea.
Road of Independent Development
In the early 2012, the world was focusing on the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea with a question of which road it would take after the sudden demise (December 17, 2011) of Chairman Kim Jong Il.
At this juncture, in his first public speech delivered at the military parade held on April 15, 2012 in celebration of the centenary of the birth of President Kim Il Sung(1912-1994), Kim Jong Un solemnly declared that the final victory of the Korean revolution lies in marching straight along the road of independence and the road of socialism. It was an expression of his unshakable faith and will with which to accomplish the cause of socialism holding high the banner of independence that has been invariably adhered to in the whole course of the Korean revolution.
His great ambition to unswervingly advance along the road of independent development was expressed in the lines of simultaneously conducting economic construction and building up the nuclear forces and of concentrating all the efforts on building socialist economy and in the idea of strengthening the independent strength, the internal forces in every way.
True to his idea and leadership, the Korean people accomplished the great, historic cause
of perfecting the nation’s nuclear capability in a short span of time that others would not even have dared to target. And they raised their national dignity and prestige to a high level by firmly maintaining the spirit of independence in the state building and activities as well as foreign relations.
The People’s Demands and Interests Met
Now the Korean people are faithfully supporting the leadership of General Secretary Kim Jong Un. It is because his revolutionary ideas indicate the absolutely correct road for realizing their demands and interests.
He defined the essence of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism, the one and only guiding ideology of the Korean revolution, as the people-first principle and formulated it as the basic mode of socialist politics. Then he put forward the profound idea that making selfless, devoted efforts for the good of the people is the mode of existence of the Workers’ Party of Korea and its eternal climate.
Top and absolute priority should be given to the demands and interests of the people; the officials should pluck a star from the sky if it is the wish of the people; all production and construction work should be carried out with the people’s convenience as the foremost consideration and with their feedback and assessment as the yardstick; and all the officials should live and work as the true servants who devote themselves for the interests of the people at all times—this is the core of the people-centred philosophy that runs through his revolutionary ideas.
True to his ideas, the Workers’ Party of Korea and the DPRK government adopt policies and measures one after another for the good of the people, however complicated the situation of foreign relations may be and despite the strain on the economic situation in the country. They are firmly defending the safety of the people by implementing the unprecedented anti-epidemic policies and guidelines and all children across the country are supplied with nourishing foods including dairy products at state expense. At major conferences of the WPK, policies related to the improvement of the people’s living standards are adopted one after another, and as one of them, structures for the people are
rising up, including the project of building 50 000 flats in Pyongyang.
With an Eye to the Distant Future
The revolutionary idea of Kim Jong Un serves as the encyclopedia which illuminates the road ahead of the coming 50 and 100 years for the state development.
His ennobling intentions to build up enormous national strength with an eye to the distant future for state development and hand it down to the younger generations are reflected in his ideas of modelling rural areas on the Juche idea and enriching them materially, of turning all the provinces, cities and counties into the people’s paradise by briskly conducting land administration, of making a leap forward by dint of science and guarantee the future by dint of education, and of building all streets and factories into world-class architectural edifices.
It is a consistent principle of creation that runs through the revolutionary idea of General Secretary Kim Jong Un that when building a structure, it should be built perfectly so that there would be no room for the coming generations to improve it.
Numerous modern structures have mushroomed in recent years, typically the Mirae Scientists Street, Ryomyong Street, City of Samjiyon in Ryanggang Province, rural villages, Munsu Water Park, Yangdok Hot Spring Resort, Jungphyong Greenhouse Farm and Sci-tech Complex. Witnessing such monuments the world is keenly realizing what Kim Jong Un’s world of creation is like.
