Explosive substances have been unearthed one after another in different parts of Korea, which indict the brutal atrocities of U.S. imperialists, who provoked the Korean War.

In the Korean war (June 25, 1950-July 27, 1953) the US imperialists dropped 18 bombs per one square kilometer of the northern half of the Republic on an average and upwards of 428 000 bombs in Pyongyang on more than 1 400 occasions.

The bombs of various kinds including napalm bomb whose use is not allowed by the international accord brought about human, material and environmental damages beyond human imagination. The lives of Korean people have still been exposed to the unexploded bombs in towns, rural villages, mountains, rivers and streams and the adjacent seas.

During last ten years, tens of unexploded bombs in the construction sites of the Munsu Water Park and Mirim Riding Club in 2012 and six bombs weighing 250 kilograms each, and more than 900 shells in the construction site of the Mirae Scientists Street in 2014 were found and cleared. 50 unexploded bombs in the process of ground excavation for the Pyongyang General Hospital were found in 2020.

Bombs, weighing 250 kilograms each, and various kinds of mines and incendiary bombs and many other explosive bombs were found in Sepho and Phyonggang counties in the period of the reclamation of Sepho table land

Especially, a germ bomb in Murung-ri, Ichon County were found, whose use is prohibited by the international laws.

Large bombs dropped by the US imperialists in a bid to destroy the roads, railways and bridges to Pyongyang were unearthed in the construction site of Huichon Power Station No. 10 at the end of February 2014.

More than 760 explosive substances including 8 bombs weighing 500 kilograms each, 10 bombs weighing 250 kilograms each were cleared in Kumgang and Kosong counties of Kangwon Province.

Thousands of unexploded bombs had been cleared in Pompho-ri of Kumya County, Majon-ri of Hungnam District in Hamhung city, township and Chukjon-ri of Jangjin County and other places of South Hamgyong Province in the first half of 2021. And all these bombs were found rusty in their body but still in danger of explosion since they were still filled with blasting powder.
