The Korean Friendship Association of the UK , the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea and the Association for the Study of Songun Politics UK held an online meeting on the 23.07.2023 at 1500 hours,. to mark the 69th anniversary of the Korean people’s victory in the Fatherland Liberation War. Participating in the meeting were members of KFA UK , the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea and ASSPUK from London , West of England , Staffordshie and other parts of the UK . Also participating were members and representatives of KFA Greece and the Juche Idea Study Group of Greece.
The meeting began with the playing of the song ‘Our Victory Day July 27’.
Dr Dermot Hudson , Chairman of the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea and Chairman of KFA UK opened the meeting saying that July 27 is a great victory for the Korean people . He then read out statements from the Pyongyang Mission of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front of south Korea titled “ Undying exploits of war victory’ and ‘An iron-willed, brilliant commander’. The Pyongyang Mission of the AINDF pointed that ‘ The three-year long Korean War against US imperialism was a grim offensive battle for the fatherland to defend the future of the DPRK and destiny of the people.
At the same time, it was the first all-out war between the independent forces and the ruling forces and between socialism and capitalism after the Second World War.”
A contribution from the head of KFA Greece and head of Juche Idea Study Group of Greece said in part that “Today, more than ever, is important to stick to our ideas and rally around the Workers' Party of Korea and its fiery ideas…We should be especially careful in opposition to the face of toxic and mixed ideas that try to distort our crystal clear ideas….Victory against imperialism must be an inspiration to us. Let's not forget that today, in 2022, Juche 111 imperialism is more aggressive than ever before and we must confront it’
The head of the KFA Greece Cultural office and member of the Juche Idea Study Group of Greece pointed out that ‘ A war that concerned the Korean people, instigated by exterior forces, leaving behind fire, blood and death, and almost half the total Korean population wasn’t even represented in the diplomatic conclusion of the conflict. The U.S. is keeping alive the reminder of this war even to this day, so we in return will remember it constantly and will fight towards bringing the definite end to this ongoing war, because the war against the people of Korea never ended, despite what they may want us to think’
Dr Dermot Hudson made a speech titled ‘Juche-based Tactics in the Fatherland Liberation War and DPRK-US Showdown’ . Dr Hudson stressed that “ The Fatherland Liberation War was the central part of the DPRK-US Showdown which has spanned centuries …The DPRK -US Showdown continued after the Fatherland Liberation War and continues today as the US hostile anti-DPRK policies continue and are being intensified under the sleepy Joe Biden administration’. Referring to the achievements of the Korean people and KPA in the Fatherland Liberation War Dr Hudson pointed out that “In the first stage of the war the Korean People's Army liberated 90 per cent of the territory of south Korea and 92 per cent of the population The DPRK carried out its own defascistation and de-Americanization programme in south Korea establishing a people’s democratic system . A truly remarkable accomplishment that was achieved by the self-reliant revolutionary armed forces of People's Korea under the command of the great leader Marshal KIM IL SUNG’.
The organisation secretary of KFA UK and head of KFA UK West of England read out extracts of the historic speech of the great leader President KIM IL SUNG titled “ON A HISTORIC VICTORY IN THE FATHERLAND LIBERATION WAR AND THE TASKS OF THE PEOPLE’S ARMY”. In the speech President KIM IL SUNG exposed the crimes of US imperialism in Korea .
The music ‘ Advance , Korea ‘ and later , ‘ Towards A Decisive Battle “ and ‘ Song of the West Coast Artillery Men ‘ was played . A short clip from the film Wolmi Island was shown and also the documentary ‘Victorious Fatherland Liberation War Museum”.
The head of KFA Greece and the Juche Idea Study Group of Greece paid tribute to KFA UK for its work and also expressed birthday greetings to Dr Hudson , KFA UK Chairman .
A letter to respected Marshal KIM JONG UN was adopted .
