Juche Korea shining with independence is a bright example to the world

In 2022 , not one but several significant milestones in the history of Juche Korea will be reached ; on the 16th of February it will be the 80th anniversary of the birth of the great leader comrade KIM JONG IL , on the 15th of April it will be the 110th anniversary of the birth of the great and eternal leader President KIM IL SUNG and the 10th anniversary of respected Marshal KIM JONG UN becoming Supreme leader of the DPRK . April 2022 will also see the 10th anniversary of the World Juche Congress in which many of us participated in and have great memories of that event . It was during these celebrations that respected Marshal KIM JONG UN spoke in public for the first time.
April 15th , the day that President KIM IL SUNG was born in 1912, is celebrated by the Korean people and also by Juche idea followers and progessive people throughout the world . This is because of the vast achievements of President KIM IL SUNG and the importance of his teachings . Of course it is not possible to write of the achievements of President KIM IL SUNG in one essay or article or even one book .
President KIM IL SUNG's great and enduring legacies are the Juche Idea and Juche Korea . Juche Korea is the miracle that the Juche idea gave birth to . As the dear respected leader Marshal KIM JONG UN wrote;
“The great Juche idea, as it is a man-centred view of the world and revolutionary theory and method, is a revolutionary ideology, most reasonable, universal and valid, which all those who aspire after independence can easily sympathize with and accept as their own. This is evidenced by the glorious history of our revolution which has traversed a proud road of victory under the banner of the Juche idea and the reality of today when the aspiration for global independence is mounting as the days go by under the rays of the Juche idea” (KIM JONG UN , THE GREAT KIM IL SUNG IS THE ETERNAL LEADER OF OUR PARTY AND PEOPLE ‘ April 20, 2012)
President KIM IL SUNG authored the Juche idea in the midst of the anti-Japanese armed struggle . The Juche idea was formed not in an old library or dusty backroom amidst the gunfire of the revolutionary struggle for national and social liberation . President KIM IL SUNG always mixed with the masses and learned from them . Guided by the great Juche idea, the anti-Japanese armed struggle was crowned with victory .The Juche idea gave the Korean people independence and gave birth to Juche Korea , a state of independence , self-sufficiency and self -defence . A great idea and a great leader always gave rise to a great reality.
Over the years guided by the Juche Idea and led by President KIM IL SUNG and later Chairman KIM JONG IL and respected Marshal KIM JONG UN , Juche Korea soared high as a powerful state of Juche with total independence . The prestige of Juche Korea towers high just like the Tower of Juche .Indeed Juche Korea is the most independent state in the world . This is acknowledged by not just friends of the DPRK but its enemies as well . The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK ) does not have a single foreign soldier stationed on its territory .Not a single foreign military aircraft can be seen in the clear blue skies of Juche Korea . The DPRK is not a member of a military bloc , it is genuinely non-aligned and independent . The DPRK is not a member of the IMF , World Bank , WTO or APEC. It has a solid independent national economy unaffected by the crisis of capitalism .
The Juche idea and the leadership of President KIM IL SUNG created an invincible socialist power and most durable socialism . As the British scholar Malcolm Caldwell pointed out in 1977 ‘ What is clear is that ,deprived of, massive loans ,US military propping , and integration into the international capitalist economy, south Korea would collapse, whereas-abiding by Juche , North Korea can stand independent indefinitely’ ( Malcolm Caldwell , ‘The Wealth of Some Nations ‘ 1977 page 162) ,
The line of independence based on the Juche idea totally permeated the whole history of building socialism in the DPRK under the leadership of great President KIM IL SUNG and Chairman KIM JONG IL . The Juche is the basis of all policies and lines of the Workers’ Party of Korea and the people’s government .
Under the banner of the Juche idea and the leadership of great President KIM IL SUNG the DPRK built a powerful independent national economy and completed socialist industrialisation . During the period from 1957 to 1970 industrial output value increased at 19.1 percent per annum.
The DPRK became known to the world as Chollima Korea and a ‘model country of socialism ‘.It also became known as a people’s paradise because it introduced free medical care , free education and abolished taxation .Full employment is legally guaranteed.
The DPRK became a powerful example for the peoples of the third world who aspired to build new societies free from the shackles of imperialism , colonialism and neo-colonialism . The building of socialism in the DPRK inspired many revolutionary and progressive people . The great Cuban revolutionary Major Ernesto Che Guevaravisited the DPRK in 1960 and wrote later ‘Of the socialist countries that we visited personally, Korea is one of the most extraordinary. Perhaps it is the one that impressed us most..’
Many delegations from Africa , Asia and Latin America visited the DPRK to learn from its experience .The first Juche idea study group was founded in Mali in 1969 . The example of People’s Korea and the powerful attraction of the Juche idea spread far beyond the borders of the DPRK and beyond the third world . Over 1,000 Juche Idea Study groups were established . In April 1978 the International Institute of the Juche Idea was established in Tokyo, Japan .
The Juche Idea gripped the imagination of the world’s people because it reflected the aspirations of the people for independence . As President
KIM IL SUNG said that “Our is an age of independence . Today many peoples of the globe call for independence and are fighting against all types of subordination . No nation will tolerate others trampling on its independence. Even the people’s of capitalist countries claim independence , not to speak of the peoples of the socialist countries and the third world countries . It is the main trend of our times which no force can check that the peoples of the world claim independence and many countries are taking the road of independence”

Today the imperialists hate and fear Juche Korea and the Juche idea itself because of the great example it presents to the world people , an example of independence and self-reliance. If the countries of the third world established independent national economies based on self-reliance this would shut out imperialism and neo-colonialism .
Moreover the DPRK’s independence is an example to all countries in the world that wish to take the road of independence and to oppose globalization , imperialism and dominationism .
Today led by the respected Marshal KIM JONG UN is marching ahead carrying out truly colossal socialist construction under the banner of self -reliance , defying the sanctions of the hostile forces . People’s Korea is the only country in the world free from Covid 19 and has managed on its own resources with its borders closed , a remarkable feat.
Juche Korea, which shines with independence, is a bright example to the world .
